The *Suwen* once discussed cases of headache persisting for several years, where severe cold reaches the bone marrow. Since marrow governs the brain, rebellious brain Qi causes headache, and the teeth also hurt. This is named Jue-ni headache. There are also headaches caused by Kidney Jue and Liver Jue. As stated in *Benshi Fang*, deficiency below refers to Kidney deficiency; Kidney Jue leads to headache. Deficiency above refers to Liver deficiency; Liver Jue leads to dizziness. These can all be treated according to the syndrome. If it is True Headache, death occurs in the morning if onset is in the evening, or in the evening if onset is in the morning. For humans suffering from this, there is little that can be done. Ultimately, it has its origin, likely due to instability of the root. If one wishes to apply moxibustion, acupoints such as Baihui (GV20) and Xinhui (GV22) should be treated first, while Dan Tian (CV17) and Qihai (CV6) are especially indicated for moxibustion to nourish and tonify, preventing the condition from reaching such an extreme.
