Prescription for Resolving Wild Taro Poison (from *Qianjin Fang*)
Consume soil slurry and human fecal juice.
Antidote Prescription (from *Shenghui Fang*)
Use one liang of alum. Grind into powder. Irrigate with fresh well water. Do not be alarmed if black and white substances are discharged from the mouth and ears. Recovery occurs once discharge is complete.
Prescription for Treating Herbal Drug Poisoning (from *Qianjin Fang*)
Take two feathers from swallows in the Qin region. Burn to ash and ingest. *Shenghui Fang* uses two feathers from spring swallows, burned to ash and taken with water, or alternatively administered via urine.
Prescription for Borax Poisoning
Use raw mung bean powder, quantity unrestricted. Grind to extract juice and drink. It also resolves arsenic trioxide poison.
Huadu San (Dissolving Toxin Powder) (from *Yuju Xuanqi Fang*)
Specifically treats hematemesis caused by drug poisoning, chest pain, slight blackening of the tongue, and cracking of lips. If chewing raw black beans does not taste fishy/gamey, it indicates relief.
Ingredients: Crotonis Fructus (Badou, 巴豆) - one grain, shelled and oil removed, ground; Minium (Huangdan, 黄丹) - half qian; Realgar (Xionghuang, 雄黄) - one qian, ground. Grind together. Mix with one black hen egg yolk.
Prescription for resolving Datura Poisoning (from *Qianjin Fang*)
Extract juice from Shepherd's Purse (Jiqing, 荠), Licorice Root (Gancao, 甘草), Rhinoceros Horn (Xijiao, 犀角), Crab Juice, and Cimicifuga (Shengma, 升麻). Drink each. All treat this condition.
Dongqing Yin (Frozen Green Drink) - Resolves Arsenic Trioxide Poison
Grind leaves of *Orostachys fimbriatus* (Dongqingye, 冻青叶) to obtain natural juice. Add well water and drink. Diarrhea must occur to resolve the toxin.
Prescription for Immortelle and Aconite Poisoning
Zheng Changqing Zizheng Shen, in his youth, accompanied his father Taizai while serving as a military officer in Huaizhou. He suffered poisoning from consuming Immortelle (Xianmao, 仙茅). His tongue swelled and protruded from the anus, gradually enlarging to the size of his shoulder. Skilled neighboring physicians treated him. He later became blind after several months and retired at age forty-two.
Prescription for Antagonistic Drug Poisoning
Treats poisoning resulting from incompatible drugs.
Ingredients: Cicada Slough (Chanke, 蝉壳) - burned to ash, finely ground to one qian. Mix with cold water and take. Frequent administration yields results. Even if the face turns cyanotic, pulse vanishes, abdomen distends, and hematemesis occurs, ingestion restores life.
Antidote Prescription
Wang Zhongli was fond of alcohol. In his prime, sores erupted on his nose and spread to the pharynx. He was deeply distressed. Medications were largely ineffective. Monk Faman advised him to consume Polygonum multiflorum (Heshouwu, 何首乌). Ginger (Shengjiang, 生姜) helps dissipate swelling.
Resolving Hundred Poisons
Licorice Root (Gancao, 甘草) resolves hundred poisons and is the chief of herbs. Sun Simiao stated: "When someone is poisoned by Aconite or Croton, Licorice Root settles the toxin upon entering the stomach." Soybean juice also resolves toxins.
Treating Anesthetic Poison (Menghan Du), characterized by staring eyes, inability to speak, and drunken appearance.
Use White Hyacinth Bean (Bai Biandou, 白扁豆), quantity unrestricted, ground to fine powder. Take with water or warm wine. It also resolves arsenic trioxide and poisonous bird venom.
Another Prescription
Use fertile white soil from Sichuan. If unavailable, use old yellow earth from the kitchen, ground to powder. Take mixed with water.

Puncture the left temple area. If a copper coin flies down, the patient revives.

In acute cases without medicine, pour fresh well water over the heart region. Stop when the patient awakens.
Resolving Arsenic Trioxide Poison
Take two qian of Curcuma aromatica (Yujin, 郁金) powder. Add a little honey. Mix with cold water and take. Decoct Cimicifuga (Shengma, 升ma) strongly, cool, and drink. Grind apricot kernels to fine powder. Take with rice water. White Hyacinth Bean (Bai Biandou, 白扁豆) helps detoxify lead.
Gancao San (Licorice Powder) - Resolves All Drug Poisons
Use two liang of Licorice Root (Gancao, 甘草). Freshly cut and crushed. Decoct in three bowls of water until reduced to one bowl. Strain. Add one he of Mung Bean Powder (Lvdoufen, 绿豆粉). Mix well and boil briefly. Add half liang of honey.
Another Prescription
For various drug poisons, there are specific antidotes. Now, select one easily obtained substance that resolves multiple toxins.
Decoct Licorice Root (Gancao, 甘草) strongly and drink abundantly. Nothing will not be resolved. Consuming small amounts of honey is beneficial.
Resolving Hundred Drug Poisons
Use Licorice Root (Gancao, 甘草) with transverse stripes. Cut into small pieces. Fry in sesame oil. Chew frequently before and after meals on an empty stomach. Efficacy appears over time. When ingesting poison, vomiting expels the toxin. Take singly, mixed with water. Efficacy is confirmed when the toxin is fully expelled.
Wanlu Dan (Ten Thousand Dew Pill) - Resolves All Drug Poisons, including Gu Poison and Golden Silkworm Poison.
Ingredients: Guangming Cinnabar (Guangming Zhusha, 光明朱砂) - one liang, must be from Chenzhou, ground finely for one si period; Rhizoma Pinelliae Preparatum (Tiannanxing, 天南星) - three liang, raw, ground; Gallus gallus domesticus Bile (Niuhuangdan, 黄牛胆) - one, juice extracted.
Resolves all drug poisons, meat poisoning, closed-mouth pepper poison, and wild mushroom poison.
Consume dry earth dug from the ground, mixed with water. Also effective. Earth from the east-facing wall can be used, with slightly lesser efficacy.
Treating Closed-Mouth Pepper and Toxic Wood Ear Mushrooms on Maple Trees.
Crush fresh winter melon vines to extract juice and drink.
Resolves all drug poisons and promotes urination.
Cook Astragalus Membranaceus fruit (Mutong, 木通) with honey and eat.
Treating Resolution of Various Drug Poisons
Consume Chen Family White Medicine (Chenjia Baiyao, 陈家白药) mixed with water. It attacks the toxin in the stomach, causing vomiting. If poisoning persists, take again. Treats chest/heart irritability and heat. Epidemic warm malaria.
Resolving Drug and Gu Poison
Grind Bodhisattva Stone (Pusa Shi, 菩萨石) with water and take.
Resolves all drug poisons, erysipelas, and fungal poison. Relieves thirst and removes irritability/heat.
Drink various animal bloods raw.
Resolving Swelling from Drug Poisons
Crush Ren Liver Vine (Ren Gan Teng, 人肝藤) raw and take. Apply paste to swelling.
Treating Gelsemium Poison
Resolve with sheep blood.
Treating Mercury Entering Flesh Causing Joint Contraction
Heat gold objects and apply hot compresses. Mercury reacts with gold and exudes, corroding the gold. When the gold turns white, the process is complete. Repeat several times until cured. Xu Yu of Northern Qi used this method with much success.
Resolving Poison from Drugs, Vegetables, and Meat
Soak White Flower Vine (Baihua Teng, 白花藤) in wine and take.
Dayou Yin (Soybean Drink) - Resolves All Drug Poisons. Reduces swelling and clears heat. Neutralizes Aconite and Prepared Aconite poison.
Boil one sheng of Soybeans (Daydou, 大豆) in two sheng of water until reduced to one sheng. Remove beans. Cool. Drink slowly. Another method uses soybean infusion.
Treating Erysipelas and Heat from Mineral Stones
Eat beef liver and tripe cooked with ginger and vinegar.
