There is Spleen Diarrhea (Pi Xie) and Kidney Diarrhea (Shen Xie). Spleen Diarrhea is characterized by heavy and burdensome limbs, a feeling of obstruction in the Zhongwan region (CV12), a sallow and deficient complexion, and slight abdominal distension. Kidney Diarrhea is characterized by coldness in the skin and pores, soreness and pain in the lower back, upward coughing with a darkened complexion, and pain in the umbilical and abdominal regions.
