白蔹昆布（洗）明矾（ ）各一两。海蛤（ ）松罗茶各七钱五分研末。蜜丸弹子大。每
服一丸。
食后含化。治瘿瘤。又方。海藻海带各一两。斑蝥二十八枚。（去足翅）巴豆二十八个。（去
壳）先以斑蝥巴豆同装生绢袋内。用好醋一碗。以瓦铫盛四味同煎。将干去斑蝥巴豆不用。
只将海藻海带研末。以淡豆豉百粒用煎药。余醋略浸蒸饼为膏和丸梧子大。朱砂三钱。入麝
香少许。研匀为衣。令干。瓷瓶收贮。初服七丸。再十丸。三十五丸。不愈。再服二三次。
每次十五丸。皆以盐炒茴香细嚼空腹温酒下。忌鸭子酢酱动气等物。药贵新合。陈者须多服
。治偏坠小肠气。海藻玉壶汤。海藻陈皮贝母连翘昆布半夏青皮独活川芎当归甘草节各一钱
海带五分。水二钟煎至八分。量病上下食前后服。治石瘿等症。海藻连翘汤。海藻连翘陈

昆布僵蚕（炒去丝）羌活防风桔梗夏枯草川芎升麻加生姜薄荷水煎食后服。治结核瘰 马刀。
瘿瘤痰核。
海藻散坚丸。海藻昆布各二两。小麦四两。（醋煮炒干）龙胆草二两。研末蜜丸梧子大。
每服二十丸。临卧熟汤下。治肝经瘿瘤。
按此药亦治梅毒宜与生草同用。
主治清热泻火、消散结块。治疗十二种水肿病。消除五脏内部的各种水饮痰湿。痰饮停聚。心下痞满。症瘕积聚。腹中肠鸣有水气声。肿胀。香港脚（足部肿痛）。奔豚疝气。睾丸肿大、瘿瘤、瘰疬、痈肿。
海藻丸：海藻（清洗晒干）、川芎、当归、官桂、白芷、细辛、藿香、白蔹、昆布（清洗）、明矾各一两，海蛤、松罗茶各七钱五分。研成细末，用蜂蜜制成如弹子大小的蜜丸。每次服用一丸，饭后含化。治疗瘿瘤。
又一方：海藻、海带各一两，斑蝥二十八枚（去掉足和翅膀），巴豆二十八个（去掉壳）。先将斑蝥和巴豆同装入生绢袋内，用好醋一碗，用瓦锅盛放这四味药共同煎煮。煎至药液将干时，取出斑蝥和巴豆不再使用。只将海藻和海带研成细末，用淡豆豉一百粒，用剩下的药醋略加浸泡，蒸饼为膏，调和药末制成如梧桐子大小的丸剂。朱砂三钱，加入少许麝香，研匀作为丸衣，使其干燥。用瓷瓶收贮。初次服用七丸，第二次服用十丸，第三次服用十五丸。如果未愈，再服用二三次，每次十五丸。均以盐炒小茴香细细咀嚼，空腹时用温酒送服。忌食鸭子、醋酱及易引起气滞的食物。药物贵在新鲜配制，陈旧的药需增加剂量服用。治疗偏坠和小肠气。
海藻玉壶汤：海藻、陈皮、贝母、连翘、昆布、半夏、青皮、独活、川芎、当归、甘草节各一钱，海带五分。加水两钟，煎至八分，根据病位上下及进食前后情况服药。治疗石瘿等病症。
海藻连翘汤：海藻、连翘、陈皮、半夏、白茯苓、黄芩（酒拌炒）、黄连（酒炒）、天南星（姜制）、牛蒡子（炒）、柴胡、三棱（酒炒）、蓬莪术（酒炒）、昆布、僵蚕（炒去丝）、羌活、防风、桔梗、夏枯草、川芎、升麻。加生姜、薄荷，水煎，饭后服用。治疗结核性瘰疬、马刀瘘。以及瘿瘤、痰核。
海藻散坚丸：海藻、昆布各二两，小麦四两（醋煮后炒干），龙胆草二两。研成细末，用蜂蜜制成如梧桐子大小的丸剂。每次服用二十丸，临睡前用熟开水送服。治疗肝经引起的瘿瘤。
Indications: Clears heat and purges fire, dissipates nodules and resolves masses. Treats twelve types of edema. Eliminates various water-dampness accumulations within the five zang organs. Phlegm-fluid retention. Fullness below the heart. Zheng-jia (masses). Borborygmus with water qi in the abdomen. Swelling. Hongxiangjiao (podagra/foot swelling). Ben tun (fleeing pig) hernia. Testicular swelling, ying liu (goiter), luo li (scrofula), yong zhong (carbuncle).
Haizao Wan (Kelp Pill): Haizao (kelp, washed and dried), Chuanxiong, Danggui, Guanzi Gui, Baizhi, Xixin, Huoxiang, Bailian, Kunbu (washed), Mingfan each 1 liang; Haige, Songluo Cha each 7 qian 5 fen. Grind into powder, mix with honey to form pills the size of a bullet. Take one pill per dose. Allow to dissolve slowly in the mouth after meals. Treats ying liu (goiter).
Another prescription: Haizao, Haidai each 1 liang; Banmao 28 pieces (remove feet and wings); Badou 28 pieces (remove shells). First, place Banmao and Badou together in a raw silk bag. Add 1 bowl of good vinegar. Place these four ingredients in a clay pot and decoct together. When the liquid is nearly dry, remove Banmao and Badou and discard them. Only grind Haizao and Haidai into powder. Use Dan Dou Chi 100 grains, soak slightly in the remaining medicinal vinegar, steam rice cake to make a paste, and mix with the powder to form pills the size of a wutong seed. Zhusha 3 qian, add a small amount of Shexiang, grind evenly to coat the pills, and let dry. Store in a porcelain bottle. Initial dose: 7 pills. Second dose: 10 pills. Third dose: 15 pills. If not cured, take two or three more courses, 15 pills each time. Chew salt-fried Huixiang finely, and swallow with warm wine on an empty stomach. Avoid duck, vinegar sauce, and foods that cause qi stagnation. Medicines are best prepared fresh; aged medicines require increased dosage. Treats unilateral testicular descent and xiaochang qi (hernia).
Haizao Yuhu Tang (Kelp Jade Pot Decoction): Haizao, Chenpi, Beimu, Lianqiao, Kunbu, Banxia, Qingpi, Duhuo, Chuanxiong, Danggui, Gancao Jie each 1 qian; Haidai 5 fen. Add 2 zhong of water, decoct to 8 fen. Administer according to the location of the disease (upper or lower) and timing relative to meals. Treats shi ying (lithoid goiter) and other conditions.
Haizao Lianqiao Tang (Kelp and Forsythia Decoction): Haizao, Lianqiao, Chenpi, Banxia, Bai Fuling, Huangqin (stir-fried with wine), Huanglian (stir-fried with wine), Tiannanxing (processed with ginger), Niubangzi (stir-fried), Chaihu, Sanleng (stir-fried with wine), Peng'e zhu (stir-fried with wine), Kunbu, Jiangcan (stir-fried, remove silk), Qianghuo, Fangfeng, Jiegeng, Xiakucao, Chuanxiong, Shengma. Add Shengjiang, Bohe, decoct with water, take after meals. Treats tuberculous luo li, madao fistula, as well as ying liu and tan he (phlegm nodules).
Haizao Sanjian Wan (Kelp Hardening-Resolving Pill): Haizao, Kunbu each 2 liang; Xiaomai 4 liang (boiled in vinegar, then stir-fried until dry); Longdan Cao 2 liang. Grind into powder, mix with honey to form pills the size of a wutong seed. Take 20 pills per dose, swallow with boiled water before going to bed. Treats ying liu caused by liver meridian pathology.
Note: This herb also treats syphilis and should be used together with Sheng Caoglycyrrhiza uralensis root).
