Produced in Huizhou. *Benjing Fengyuan* records: Huizhou Songluo tea is specifically used to resolve food stagnation.

*Qiudeng Conghua* records: A certain northern merchant, trading in Jiangnan, had a strong preference for eating pig heads and could consume the equivalent of several people's portions. A practitioner skilled in traditional Chinese medicine saw this and asked his servant, "Eating like this every meal for over ten years?" The doctor said, "The disease will soon manifest; ordinary medicines cannot cure it." When the merchant returned north, the doctor followed him with the intention of treating him as a rare specimen (to demonstrate medical prowess or gain advantage), but after a long time, the merchant remained unharmed. The doctor inquired again in detail with the previous servant, who said, "After meals, my master always drinks several bowls of Songluo tea." The doctor realized the truth, saying, "Only Songluo tea can resolve this toxicity," and returned home disappointed.

Yao Xizhou's *Experience Formulas* record: For those suffering from eye diseases who have consumed lamb liver, Songluo tea should be avoided; instead, decoction of *Astragali Complanati Semen* (Shayuan Jili) should be drunk as tea.

Functions of Songluo tea: Resolves accumulation and greasiness, clears heat, directs qi downward, and eliminates phlegm.

For constipation following illness: *Wuxing Qian Shouhe Cihui Xiaobian* records: Use 3 qian of Songluo tea leaves and half zhong of rice white sugar. First boil until rolling, then add half a bowl of water, and take.

For stubborn ulcers that fail to heal, or wounds failing to heal due to contact with filth: *Liangshi Jiyan* records: Take a pinch of high-quality Songluo tea, first rinse the mouth with water, then chew the tea leaves thoroughly and apply them to the ulcer.

For epilepsy (*Yang'er Feng*): *Jixiao Fang* records: Take 8 liang of fine powder of good Songluo tea and 4 liang of raw alum powder. Mix with millet porridge to form pills. On the day of onset, take 3 qian early in the morning; on other days, also take 3 qian.

For hydroperitoneum and meteorism (*Shu Gu Qi Gu* - abdominal distension with fluid/air): *Huiji* records: No need to avoid salt or soy sauce when taking this medicine; one dose brings immediate relief. Method: Take one live fish weighing 7-8 liang, remove scales and fins, cut open the belly, place 3 qian of Songluo tea inside, along with 8 slices of garlic for men or 7 slices for women. Place together in the fish belly, put in a porcelain vessel, and steam until cooked. Have the patient eat the fish, consuming both tea and garlic together is better. Eating from the head causes resolution to start from the head; eating from the tail causes resolution to start from the feet. Immediate effect.

For *Xiuqiu Feng* (eczema of the scrotum): *Huo Ren Shu* records: Stir-fry *Galla Chinensis* (Wubeizi) and use equal parts of Songluo tea, each 5 qian. Grind into powder, mix with tea water, and apply externally.

For jaundice (*Huang Bing*): Liu Yuyi's *Verified Formula* records: 8 he of raw sesame seeds, 5 he of good Songluo tea, and 2 he of Amomum fruit (*Amomi Fructus Rotundus*, Sharen). Of these three ingredients, first grind the sesame seeds finely. Then separately dry the tea leaves until crisp and grind them. Finally grind the Amomum fruit. Mix all powders evenly. Take daily. For chronic cases with deep-seated disease, continue until jaundice subsides. If jaundice was caused by excessive tea consumption, this formula is not applicable.

For all types of headache accompanied by heat (*Toufeng Jian Re*): Wang Zhanzhu's *Non-Medical Good Prescriptions* records: Grind *Piperis Longi Fructus* (Bibo) into fine powder, mix with pig bile, insufflate into the nose. Sneezing leads to immediate recovery. If accompanied by dampness, use *Momordicae Fructus* (Gua Di) and Songluo tea ground into powder, insufflate into the nose. Discharge of yellow fluid leads to immediate recovery.

For treating five types of goiter (*Wu Ying*): *Medical Guide* records: *Po Jie San*. Ingredients: *Concha Meretricis* (Hai Ge), *Herba Tectariae* (Tong Cao), *Thallus Laminariae* (Kun Bu), *Thallus Sargassii* (Zao Hai), *Radix Scutellariae Baicalensis* (Xi Dan Cao), *Alumen Ustums* (Ku Fan), and Songluo tea, each 3 fen; *Rhizoma Pinelliae Preparatum* (Ban Xia) and *Fritillariae Thunbergii Bulbus* (Bei Mu), each 2 fen; wheat flour 4 fen. Grind into powder, take with wine, three times daily. Avoid crucian carp and pork.

Divine prescription for dysentery: 5 walnuts, cracked with shell; Songluo tea, ginger, and sugar, each 3 qian. Decoct in 3 zhan of water. For bloody dysentery, use 5 qian of brown sugar.

Verified formula for five types of abdominal distension (*Wu Gu*): Powdered Songluo tea and stir-fried chicken feather quills (ground), equal parts. Take 2 qian per dose, washed down with plain warm water. Recover after 20 doses. Avoid salt for 100 days.

For hemiplegia: *Secret Recipe Collection* records: White sugar, Sophora flower buds (*Huai Hua Zi*), red sorghum grains with husk removed (*Hua Pi Hong Gu Zi*), and Songluo tea, each 5 qian. Decoct in 3 zhong of water until reduced to 1 zhong. Take; sweating indicates recovery. Do not go out for ten days.

For pediatric noma (*Ya Gan*): *Tongshou Lu* records: Songluo tea, de-centered Sichuan peppercorn (*Huajiao*), *Ophiopogonis Radix* (Wulong Wei), and table salt, each 1 qian. Decoct with 1 zhong of child's urine and 1 zhong of water. Rinse mouth with the decoction.

For leukorrhea/prostatic discharge (*Bai Zhuo*): *Gujin Liangfang* records: 5-6 stalks of *Plantaginis Herba* (Cheqian Cao), 1-2 qian of aged Songluo tea, 10-20 roots of *Junci Medulla* (Dengxin). Decoct the three ingredients and take orally. After symptoms cease, take *Shuilu Erxian Wan* to consolidate the effect.

*Chu Wen Jiuku Dan*: Specifically treats all epidemics and seasonal pathogens, cold damage, and common cold, whether transmitted or not, with 100% efficacy. Those with means should prepare this to help others, accumulating great merit. Li Bingwen's *Experience Broad Collection* records: *Gastrodiae Rhizoma* (Tianma), *Ephedrae Herba* (Mahuang), Songluo tea, and mung bean powder, each 1 liang 2 qian; *Realgar* (Xionghuang), *Cinnabar* (Zhusha), and *Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma* (Gancao), each 8 qian; raw *Rhei Radix et Rhizoma* (Da Huang) 2 liang. Grind all into fine powder, make pills with refined honey, size of a bullet. Store in porcelain vessels, ensuring no air leakage. Upon symptom onset, adults take one pill, children half a pill, mixed with cool water. Sweating indicates recovery. Severe cases may take two consecutive doses. Before sweating occurs, absolutely do not drink hot soup or eat hot foods; after sweating, no restrictions apply.

Prescription for rotting eyelids: *Zhongfu Tang Fang* records: Use clean husks of *Physalis alkekengi* (Guajindeng). Place 2 li of finely ground transparent green alum (*Chalcanthitum*, Lv Danfan) into each husk. Or use 10 or 20 husks. Seal well, wrap tightly in clean yellow mud to prevent air leakage. Roast over charcoal fire until the center turns to black ash, preserving the medicinal nature. Place on the ground, cover with a bowl to extinguish fire. Grind the central ash finely, wrap, and place on soil overnight to eliminate fire toxicity. Take a small amount of ash, place in a teacup, soak with cold Songluo tea. Cover the tea surface with thin cotton paper. Wait for tea liquid to seep through the paper. Use this liquid to wash the eyelids, 5-6 times daily. Recovery in 2-3 days.
