上焦滞气。同人参、白术、陈皮、生姜。治秋疟。胃呕不食。同扁豆、五味、橘红、木瓜。

喉痹。火结于喉而闭塞不通也。温能散火。苦可去结。故主喉痹。乳难。乳汁不通也。乳房
属肝。气温达肝。其乳自通。白蒺藜一名旱草。秉火气而生。形如火而有刺。久服心火独明
。火能生土。则饮食倍而肌肉长。肝木条畅。肝开窍于目。故目明。木火通明。元阳舒畅。
所以身轻也。
制 方:
白蒺藜同归身。治月经不通。同杞子、菟丝子。治肝虚。同五味、淫羊藿、杞子、海螵
蛸。
治肝虚阳痿。专为末服。治一切郁症。明二三十年之目疾。
【白豆蔻】
气味大温。味道辛。无毒。主治积滞的冷气。能止住呕吐、呃逆和反胃。能促进消化，引导气机下行。
白豆蔻气味大温，禀受了天时的水火之气，归入足厥阴肝经和手少阳相火三焦经。味道辛且无毒，禀受了地利的西方燥金之味，归入手太阴肺经和足阳明胃经。其气味都主升散，属于阳。肺主管气，积滞的冷气是因为肺寒。白豆蔻气温可以温煦肺脏，味道辛可以消散积滞，所以能主治此症。食物吃进去又吐出来，是因为胃中没有火（阳气不足）。白豆蔻辛温可以温暖胃腑，所以能止住呕吐、呃逆和反胃。胃中寒冷则不能消化水谷；肺寒则不能行使肺气肃降的功能。白豆蔻辛温，能使胃暖从而消化食物，使肺暖从而引导气机下行。
制方方法：
白豆蔻与丁香、砂仁、陈米、黄土、姜汁制成丸药，名为太仓丸。治疗反胃。与人参、生姜、陈皮、藿香同用，治疗胃寒引起的呕吐。与半夏、陈皮、生姜、白术、白茯苓同用，治疗寒痰引起的呕吐。与藿香、陈皮、木香同用，治疗上焦的气机阻滞。与人参、白术、陈皮、生姜同用，治疗秋季疟疾引起的胃呕和不思饮食。与扁豆、五味子、橘红、木瓜同用，治疗饮酒过度引起的呕吐。
【白蒺藜】
气味温。味道苦。无毒。主治恶血。能破除症瘕结块和积聚。治疗喉痹（咽喉肿痛闭塞）和乳汁不通。长期服用能生长肌肉，明目，使身体轻健。（需炒制并去除刺）
白蒺藜气味温，禀受了天时春季温和的木气，归入足厥阴肝经。味道苦且无毒，禀受了地利南方的火味，归入手少阴心经。其气主升，味主降，禀受火气而生发阳气。主治恶血，因为心主血，肝藏血，温性能行血，苦性能泄血。症是有形可征的病变。有形的积聚，都形成于血。白蒺藜能破除它们，是因为它归入心和肝经，且具有苦温的气味。痹是闭塞的意思。喉痹，是火邪结聚在咽喉导致闭塞不通。温性能散火，苦性能去除结滞，所以主治喉痹。乳难，指乳汁不通。乳房属肝，白蒺藜气温能通达肝经，乳汁自然通畅。白蒺藜又名旱草，禀受火气而生，形状像火且有刺。长期服用能使心火独明。火能生土（脾），则饮食倍增而肌肉生长。肝木条达舒畅，肝开窍于目，所以眼睛明亮。木火通明，元阳舒畅，所以身体轻健。
制方方法：
白蒺藜与当归身同用，治疗月经不通。与枸杞子、菟丝子同用，治疗肝虚。与五味子、淫羊藿、枸杞子、海螵蛸同用，治疗肝虚引起的阳痿。研为细末服用，治疗一切郁证。对二三十年的眼疾也有疗效。
[Amomi Fructus Rotundus (Baidoukou)]
The Qi is greatly warm. The taste is pungent. It is non-toxic. It primarily treats accumulated cold Qi, stops vomiting, hiccups, and regurgitation, promotes digestion, and directs Qi downward.
Amomi Fructus Rotundus has a greatly warm Qi, inheriting the Qi of Heaven's Water and Fire. It enters the Foot Jueyin Liver Meridian and the Hand Shaoyang Triple Burner Meridian with Ministerial Fire. Its taste is pungent and non-toxic, inheriting the flavor of Earth's Western Dry Metal. It enters the Hand Taiyin Lung Meridian and the Foot Yangming Stomach Meridian. Both its Qi and taste are ascending, belonging to Yang. The Lung governs Qi; accumulated cold Qi results from Lung Cold. The warm nature of Amomi Fructus Rotundus warms the Lung, and its pungent taste disperses accumulation, thus treating these conditions. Food entering and then being vomited out indicates a lack of Fire in the Stomach. The pungent warmth of Amomi Fructus Rotundus warms the Stomach, thereby stopping vomiting, hiccups, and regurgitation. Cold in the Stomach prevents the transformation of water and grain; Cold in the Lung prevents the descending function of Metal. Amomi Fructus Rotundus is pungent and warm; it warms the Stomach to digest food and warms the Lung to direct Qi downward.
Prescription Methods:
Amomi Fructus Rotundus combined with丁香 (Syzygium aromaticum Flos), 砂仁 (Amomi Fructus), 陈米 (aged rice), 黄土 (yellow earth), and 姜汁 (ginger juice) forms a pill named Taicui Wan. It treats regurgitation. Combined with人参 (Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma), 生姜 (Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens), 陈皮 (Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium), and 藿香 (Agasteghis Herba), it treats vomiting due to Stomach Cold. Combined with半夏 (Pinelliae Rhizoma), 陈皮 (Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium), 生姜 (Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens), 白术 (Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma), and 白茯 (Poria), it treats vomiting due to Cold Phlegm. Combined with 藿香 (Agasteghis Herba), 陈皮 (Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium), and 木香 (Aucklandiae Radix), it treats stagnant Qi in the Upper Jiao. Combined with人参 (Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma), 白术 (Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma), 陈皮 (Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium), and 生姜 (Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens), it treats autumn malaria with stomach vomiting and anorexia. Combined with扁豆 (Lablab Semen Album), 五味 (Schisandrae Fructus), 橘红 (Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium Rubrum), and 木瓜 (Chaenomelis Fructus), it treats vomiting caused by excessive alcohol consumption.
[Tribuli Fructus (Bajili)]
The Qi is warm. The taste is bitter. It is non-toxic. It primarily treats evil blood, breaks mass formations and accumulations, treats throat obstruction (Houbi), and difficult lactation. Long-term use promotes muscle growth, brightens the eyes, and lightens the body. (Stir-fry and remove spines).
Tribuli Fructus has a warm Qi, inheriting the mild Wood Qi of Spring from Heaven. It enters the Foot Jueyin Liver Meridian. Its taste is bitter and non-toxic, inheriting the Fire flavor of the South from Earth. It enters the Hand Shaoyin Heart Meridian. Its Qi ascends and its taste descends, generating Yang through inheriting Fire Qi. Treating evil blood: The Heart governs Blood, and the Liver stores Blood. Warmth can move Blood, and bitterness can drain Blood. "Zheng" refers to pathological changes with tangible signs. Tangible accumulations all form from Blood. Tribuli Fructus can break them because it enters the Heart and Liver meridians and possesses bitter and warm qualities. "Bi" means obstruction. Houbi (Throat Obstruction) is fire pathogen knotting in the throat causing blockage. Warmth can disperse fire, and bitterness can remove knots, thus treating Houbi. "Runan" refers to blocked lactation. The breasts belong to the Liver. The warm Qi of Tribuli Fructus reaches the Liver, allowing milk flow to resume. Tribuli Fructus is also known as Hanzao Cao. It inherits Fire Qi and grows; its shape resembles fire and has thorns. Long-term use makes Heart Fire distinct. Fire generates Earth (Spleen), leading to increased appetite and muscle growth. Liver Wood flows smoothly; the Liver opens into the eyes, thus brightening vision. Wood and Fire illuminate each other, Yuan Yang flows freely, hence the body feels light.
Prescription Methods:
Tribuli Fructus combined with当归身 (Angelicae Sinensis Radix Corpus), treats amenorrhea. Combined with枸杞子 (Lycii Fructus) and菟丝子 (Cuscutae Semen), treats Liver Deficiency. Combined with五味 (Schisandrae Fructus),淫羊藿 (Epimedii Herba),枸杞子 (Lycii Fructus), and海螵蛸 (Sepiae Endoconcha), treats impotence due to Liver Deficiency. Taken as powder, it treats all types of stagnation syndromes and eye diseases lasting for decades.
