苦参散 治狂躁并结胸。苦参末，黄酒调服三钱。已汗未汗者，皆可服。
花粉煎 烦渴。花粉煮浓汁饮。先以竹沥和水，入银同煮，取水冷冻饮料，然后服此。
又方 生藕汁一盅，酌加生蜜和匀细饮。
竹沥饮 烦躁。竹沥微温，时时少饮，浓盖取汗。
又方 治口干。生藕汁、生地汁、童便各等分，和，频饮。
靖康异人方（靖康二年，京师大疫，有异人书此方。）治瘟疫浮肿，亦治大头瘟。
黑豆（二合，炒熟） 炙草（二寸）
水二盅，时时呷之。
锦按∶此即甘草黑豆汤也。古称大豆解百药毒，甘草亦解毒之品。瘟疫乃毒瓦斯所钟，故用此方
取效。方用炙草，愚意不如易以生草更妙，炙则带补矣。有一人吃菌垂死，用生草半斤，黑豆数
把，浓煎大灌得生。足征其解毒之功大矣。一云冷冻饮料方效。
头面肿，银花二两，生甘草一两，煎服。少加入黄酒亦可。
青黛饮 治两腮肿，发颐。
青黛（五分） 甘草（二钱） 银花（五钱） 栝蒌（半个）
水酒煎服。
时疾阴肿，囊茎发热，羊屎、黄柏，煮水洗之。
苦参散：治疗狂躁不安以及结胸证。将苦参研成粉末，用黄酒调匀后服用三钱。无论患者是否已经发过汗，都可以服用。

靖康异人方（靖康二年，京城发生大瘟疫，有一位奇人写下此方。）：治疗瘟疫引起的浮肿，也治疗大头瘟（一种头面红肿热痛的疫病）。

用水两盅，时时小口啜饮。
锦按语：这就是甘草黑豆汤。古书称大豆能解百药之毒，甘草也是解毒的药物。瘟疫是毒瓦斯聚集所致，所以用此方取得疗效。方中使用炙甘草，我个人的意见不如改用生甘草更妙，因为炙制后带有补益作用。曾有一人吃菌类中毒濒临死亡，使用半斤生甘草、数把黑豆，浓煎后大量灌服而得以存活。这充分证明了其强大的解毒功效。另一种说法认为冷冻饮料方有效。
若出现头面部肿胀，用金银花二两、生甘草一两，煎汤服用。稍加黄酒也可以。
青黛饮：治疗两腮肿胀，发颐（腮腺炎或颌下淋巴结炎等）。
青黛（五分） 甘草（二钱） 金银花（五钱） 栝蒌（半个）
用水和酒煎煮后服用。
时行疾病导致的阴囊肿胀，阴茎茎部发热，用羊屎、黄柏煮水清洗患处。
Kushen San (Sophora Root Powder): Treats manic restlessness and Jie Xiong syndrome (chest binding syndrome, characterized by chest fullness and pain). Grind Sophorae Radix (Kushen) into powder, mix with yellow wine, and take three qian. It can be taken regardless of whether the patient has already sweated or not.
Huafen Jian (Trichosanthes Decoction): Treats vexation and thirst. Boil Trichosanthis Radix (Huafen) to make a thick juice for drinking. First, mix Phyllostachyris Caulis Succus (Zhuli) with water, boil together with silver, collect the clear liquid, chill it in ice, drink this chilled liquid, and then take this decoction.
Another Prescription: Treats dry mouth. Take one zhong of fresh lotus root juice, add an appropriate amount of raw honey, mix well, and sip slowly.
Zhuli Yin (Bamboo Sap Drink): Treats irritability. Warm the Bamboo Sap slightly, drink small amounts frequently, cover thickly after taking the medicine to induce sweating.
Another Prescription: Treats dry mouth. Mix equal parts of fresh lotus root juice, Rehmanniae Radix (Sheng Dihuang) juice, and child's urine, and drink frequently.
Jingkang Yiren Fang (Prescription from a Strange Man during Jingkang): (Written by a strange man during the great epidemic in the capital in the second year of Jingkang.) Treats edema caused by plague, and also treats Da Tou Wen (Big Head Plague, an epidemic disease characterized by swelling and redness of the head and face).
Black Soybean (Er he, stir-fried until cooked) Zhi Gancao (Licorice Root, two cun)
Use two zhong of water, sip occasionally.
Jin's Note: This is exactly Gancao Heidou Tang (Licorice and Black Soybean Decoction). Ancient texts state that soybeans can detoxify all medicines, and Licorice Root is also a detoxifying herb. Plague is gathered from toxic vapors, hence this prescription achieves efficacy. The prescription uses Zhi Gancao (Honey-fried Licorice), but in my opinion, it would be better to use Sheng Gancao (Raw Licorice), as frying adds tonifying properties. There was a person who ate poisonous mushrooms and was near death; using half a jin of Raw Licorice and several handfuls of black soybeans, boiled strongly and灌ed (force-fed) in large quantities, they survived. This fully demonstrates its great detoxifying power. Another saying holds that the chilled beverage method is effective.
For head and facial swelling, use two liang of Lonicerae Japonicae Flos (Yinhua) and one liang of Raw Licorice, decoct and take orally. Adding a little yellow wine is also acceptable.
Qingdai Yin (Indigo Decoction): Treats swelling of both cheeks and Fa Yi (mumps or submandibular lymphadenitis).
Qingdai (Indigo Naturalis, five fen) Gancao (Licorice Root, two qian) Yinhua (Lonicerae Japonicae Flos, five qian) Gualuo (Trichosanthis Fructus, half a fruit)
Decoct with water and wine, and take orally.
Shi Ji Yin Zhong (Genital Swelling due to Epidemic Disease): Scrotum and penis shaft feel hot. Boar excrement (Yangshi) and Phellodendri Cortex (Huangbai) are boiled to make a wash solution for external application.
Gan Zhigao (Dry Fat Ointment): Treats Hou Bi Zhong Tong (Throat closure with swelling and pain). Belamcandae Rhizoma (Shegan) and Pig Fat (Zhuzhi), each one liang, are fried together until charred, filtered, cooled, and sucked like a date-sized piece.
Another Prescription: Treats sore throat due to heat disease. Sucking Child's Urine stops the pain immediately.

Pipa Maogen Jian (Loquat Leaf and Imperata Decoction)
Pipaye (Loquat Leaf, remove hairs thoroughly, fry until fragrant) Maogen (Imperatae Rhizoma, five qian each)
Decoct, and drink frequently in small amounts.
