碎治法最奇。人有病腹中 结，或成虫形、鸟形、蛇形。
各药不愈；或头内生鹊，手内生鸠之类，必内无异症，而外显奇形，如瘿如瘤之类；必须割去瘤瘿，去
其鸟鹊，始能病愈。然此犹是节外生枝，虽动刀圭，无伤五内，用生肌之药一敷上，即如无病之人。独
是脑内生虫，必须劈开头脑，将虫取出，则头风自去。至于腹中龟蛇鸟虫之类，亦必割破小腹，将前物
取出，始可再活。第术过于神奇，不便留方，存此说以见医道之奇有如此。论其治法，先用忘形酒，使其人
饮醉，忽忽不知人事，任人劈破，绝不知痛痒，取出虫物，然后以神膏异药，缝其破处，后以膏药贴敷，
一昼夜即全好如初。徐以解生汤药饮之，如梦初觉，而前症顿失矣。自青囊传后，华君获罪之后，失传者数
千载矣，今再传术远公，终不敢以此等术轻授，使远公再犯也。前车可鉴，勿再重求。子既以瘿瘤之类再
请，吾不敢秘，再传子以全活人可也。
瘿瘤不同，瘿者连肉而生，根大而身亦大；瘤者根小而身大也。即瘤之中又各不同，有粉瘤，有肉瘤，
有筋瘤，有物瘤。筋瘤不可治，亦不必治，终身十载，不过大如核桃。粉瘤则三年之后，彼自然而破，出
粉如线香末，出尽自愈，亦不必治也。肉瘤最易治，用水银一钱，儿茶三钱，冰片三分，硼
砂一钱，麝香
三分，黄柏五钱，血竭三钱，各为细末。
将此药擦于瘤之根处，随擦随落，根小者无不落也。物瘤则根大，最难治。不特而动。无故而鸣，或
如虫鸣，或如鸟啼。必须用刀破其中孔，则物自难居，必然突围而出。后用生肌神药敷之，则瘤化为水，
平复如故矣。此乃不敬神鬼，触犯岁君而得，病不可测，非理可谈，故吾《内经》不言，然世未尝无此
病也。生肌散开后∶人参一钱，三七根末三钱，轻粉五分，麒麟血竭三钱，象皮一
钱，乳香去油一钱，没药一钱，千年锻石三钱，广木香末一钱，冰片三分，儿茶
二钱，各为
绝细末，研无声为度。修合时须用端午日，不可使一人见之。
瘿不同，形亦各异，然皆湿热之病也。由小而大，由大而破，由破而死矣。初起之时，即宜用
小刀割破，略出白水，以生肌散敷之立愈。倘若失治，渐渐大来，用药一点，点其陷处，半日作痛，必
然出水。其色白者易愈，黄者、红者皆难愈。然服吾药，无不愈也。点药∶用水银一钱、硼砂一
钱、轻粉一钱、鹊粪一钱、莺粪一钱、冰片五分、潮脑五分、绿矾一钱、皂
矾一钱、麝香三分，为绝细末。用针刺一小孔，然后乘其出血之时，将药点上，则粘连矣。约
用一分，以人乳调之，点上大如鸡豆子。一日
点三次，第二日必然流水。流水之时，不可再点，点则过痛，转难收口矣。三日后必然水流尽，而皮宽如
袋，后用煎方，必然平复如故。煎方开后∶人参三钱，茯苓五钱，薏仁一两，泽泻二
钱，猪苓一钱，黄 一两，白芍五钱，生甘草一钱，陈皮一钱，山药三钱，
水煎服。十剂全消如故。但忌房事一月，余无
所忌。若犯房事。必破不能收口，终身成漏矣。
张公曰∶碎治之法尚多，吾当广之。人有病手臂生疮，变成大块，如拳头大者，必须用刀割去，人
必晕绝，不可学也。吾有奇方，止用小刀，略破其皮一分，后以末药敷之，即化为水，神方也。方用人
参三钱，甘草一钱，硼砂一分，冰片一分，轻粉半分，各为末。掺之即化为水矣。
此方乃化毒奇方，不可
轻视。更人有肚上生疮，结成顽块，终年不去者，亦可照上法治之，立效。
凡人有生虫鸟之病于身上、臂上、头上者，岐真人已传妙方，何必再传，未有奇于岐真人者故耳。
有足上生瘤如斗大者，我有一法，不必破碎治之，止用针轻轻刺一小针眼，以前药敷之，必流水不止，
急用煎方治之，方用人参三两，
黄三两，生甘草、薏仁各五两，白芥子三钱，水煎服。二剂即消尽其水，而人绝无惫色。内
外
双治之法，然终以针刺其孔，不可为非碎治也。此方之妙，乃补其本源之气，又利水而不走其气。刺其
孔而出水，未免大损元气，今补其气，又何惧水之尽出哉。此方之所以奇也，妙也。
天师曰∶碎治有七法未传。一法洗其筋，一法破其脑。一法破其腹，一法洗其肠，一法换其舌，一法
换其皮，一法接其骨也，子不信乎？非皮也，乃言皮内有病，而去其皮，别生皮也，舌有人咬断而接
之也。破其皮血；即瘿瘤法也。本不宜传，吾子善问，再传二法。皮上生顽癣，终岁经年，服药无效，擦
治无功。用刀削去其顽癣一块之皮，用前生肌药敷五钱，掺之必痒不可当，削亦不十分痛。当用麻药与饮，
使人不知，然后用刀掺药。麻药方开后∶羊踯躅三钱，茉莉花根一钱，当归一两，菖蒲
三分，水煎。服一碗，即人如睡寝，任人刀割，不痛不痒。换皮后三日，以人参五钱，生甘草
三钱，陈皮五分，
半夏一钱，白薇一钱，菖蒲五分，茯苓五钱，煎服即醒。盖羊踯躅专能迷心，茉莉根亦能使人
不知，用菖蒲引入心窍，以迷乱之耳。不服人参，可十日不醒。后用人参解之者，正气盛，则邪药自解；
各味皆助正之品；亦用菖蒲引入心经也。身温而卧，安如酣睡人也。
凡人有被人咬落舌尖，或连根咬断者，或一日，或二日，或半月，俱可接之。速用狗舌一条，观其人
舌之大小，切正如人舌光景，将病患舌根伸出，病患座在椅上，仰面，头放在椅背上，以自己手拿住喉
咙，则舌自伸出。急将狗舌蘸药末，接在人舌上，一交接，永不落矣。未药方开后∶龙齿用透明者三钱，
冰片三分，人参亦用透明者三钱，象皮一钱。生地三钱，土狗三个，去头翅，地
虱二十个。先将人参各项
俱研末，后用地虱、土狗捣烂，入前药末内捣之，佩身上三日，干为末，盛在瓶内，遇有此等病，为之
医治可也。（〔批〕接舌神丹）此药末接骨最奇，服下神效。骨断者，服一钱即愈，神方也。
闻人说咬落舌头者，以醋漱之，可以重长。师曰∶乱道。肉逢酸则缩，岂有反伸出之理，要重生必是
仙丹。汝既祷天，我当传子。人参一两，煎汤含漱者半日，以一两参汤漱完，然后已∶再用龙
齿末三分，人参末一钱，麦冬末一钱，血竭三分，冰片二分，土狗一个，地
虱十个，各火焙为末，放在土地上一刻出火气；将此末乘人参漱口完时，即以此末自己用舌蘸之使
令遍，不可将舌即缩入
口中，放在外者半刻，至不能忍，然后缩入可也，三次则舌伸长矣。仙丹也，奇绝神妙，不可思度也。（〔
批〕生舌仙丹。）
长齿法∶方用雄鼠脊骨全副，余骨不用，尾亦不用，头亦不用，骨碎补三钱，炒为末，麝香一
分，熟地，身怀之令干，为末三钱，但熟地必须自制，切不可经铁器，一犯则前药俱不效矣，生地亦
须看一做过，经铁针穿孔者即不效，细辛三分，榆树皮三分，总之，群药俱不可经铁器，
当归一钱，
青盐二钱，杜仲一钱足矣，各为绝细末。鼠骨去肉不用，新瓦上焙干为末，不可烧焦，乘其生气
也，用一瓷瓶盛之。每日五更时，不可出声，将此药轻擦在无牙之处。三十六擦，药任其自然咽下，不可
用水漱口，一月如是。日间午间擦之更佳，亦如前数。
固齿方∶用雄鼠脊骨一副，当归一钱，熟地三钱，细辛一钱，榆树皮三钱，骨碎
补三钱，
青盐一钱，杜仲二钱，各为末。裹在绵纸成条，咬在牙床上，以味尽为度。一条永不齿落矣。然亦
不可经铁器，经则不效。然汝亦幸亏此药，所
以五十外不动摇也。汝后不必愁，昨服吾符故也，传汝救人可耳。此药可救数百人，大约一人须
用三条。
张公曰∶洗筋之法最难传，亦最难效，止可言治症可也。筋之缩也，由于血之不养，然血久不能养
筋，则筋缩急而不能再生。必须割开皮肉，用药洗之。倘不得其法，药不得真者，必不能成功，反致杀
人，何若不传之为妙欤，破脑尤不可轻传，曹公非明鉴乎。以生人而轻破其脑，则人已死矣，又谁信再活
乎。喧哗扰攘之中，何能静思方法，而望其重苏乎。破腹之法，肠胃皆见，人必如死，谓能再生，人
断不信。洗肠亦然。此岐天师所以隐而不言，而今亦不必轻传，徒取人物议。若换舌换皮，岐天师各留异
术，今亦安能再助高深哉。
接舌已奇，生舌尤奇，非仙传，世人安得此方法乎。愿人尊之，千万年而勿失耳。
生齿、固齿，小术也，不足为异，姑存之以备考。而终非破治之法，如此当删去，另附于后可存之
处可也。
华君曰∶此传予之法，而无自长舌之方。
论肿瘤、瘿瘤、顽固性癣症的治疗，以及接舌、生齿、固齿的方法。
这些“碎治法”（通过手术或创伤性手段治疗疾病的方法）最为奇特。有的人腹中结块，形状像虫子、鸟或蛇；各种药物都无法治愈。或者头颅内部生出喜鹊形状的异物，手掌内部生出斑鸠形状的异物等，必定是体内没有明显的内脏病变，而体表显现出奇特的形态，如瘿瘤之类。必须割除瘤和瘿，取出体内的鸟鹊状异物，病才能痊愈。然而这还算是节外生枝，虽然动用了刀圭（指外科手术），但不会损伤五脏六腑，只要用生肌药敷在伤口上，就像没病的人一样。唯独脑中生虫，必须劈开头脑，将虫子取出，头风病自然消除。至于腹中的龟、蛇、鸟、虫等异物，也必须割破小腹，将上述物体取出，才能再次存活。只是这种医术过于神奇，不便留下具体的处方，保存这个说法以显示医道的奇妙竟达到如此地步。关于其治疗方法，先用忘形酒让人喝醉，使其迷迷糊糊不知人事，任由医生劈开身体，完全感觉不到疼痛，取出虫物后，然后用神膏异药缝合破口，再用膏药贴敷，一昼夜就能完全恢复如初。随后慢慢服用解生汤药，人就像从梦中醒来一样，之前的病症顿时消失。自从青囊书（指代高深的医学秘术）传承之后，华佗获罪之后，这种技术失传了数千年。如今再传授给术远公，终究不敢轻易将此等技艺传授给别人，以免让术远公重蹈覆辙。前车之鉴，不要再重复追求。你既然因为瘿瘤之类的问题再次请教，我不敢再保密，再次传授给你，以便能救活更多人。
瘿和瘤不同。瘿是连着肉生长的，根部大，整体也大；瘤则是根部小，整体大。就在瘤之中又各不相同，有粉瘤、肉瘤、筋瘤、物瘤。筋瘤不可治，也不必治，终身十年，不过长得像核桃那么大。粉瘤则在三年后会自然破裂，流出像线香粉末一样的物质，流尽后自愈，也不必治疗。肉瘤最容易治疗，用水银一钱，儿茶三钱，冰片三分，硼砂一钱，麝香三分，黄柏五钱，血竭三钱，各研为细末。将这些药擦在瘤的根部，边擦边脱落，根部小的没有不脱落的。物瘤则根部大，最难治疗。不仅会跳动，还会无故发出声响，有的像虫鸣，有的像鸟啼。必须用刀破开中间的孔洞，那么异物就难以居住，必然会突围而出。之后用生肌神药敷在上面，瘤就会化为水，平复如初。这是由于不敬鬼神，触犯岁君（太岁星君，道教信仰中的神煞）而得的病，病情不可预测，不合常理，所以《黄帝内经》中没有记载，但世上未尝没有这种病。生肌散的配方如下：人参一钱，三七根末三钱，轻粉五分，麒麟血竭三钱，象皮一钱，乳香去油一钱，没药一钱，千年锻石三钱，广木香末一钱，冰片三分，儿茶二钱，各研为极细末，研磨到无声响为止。配制时必须在端午节进行，不能让任何人看见。
瘿的种类不同，形状也各异，但都是湿热引起的病证。由小变大，由大变破，由破而死。初起之时，就应用小刀割破，略放出一些白水，用生肌散敷上即可立即痊愈。如果延误治疗，渐渐变大，用药点涂，点在其凹陷处，半天后作痛，必然出水。颜色白的容易治愈，黄色、红色的都难治愈。然而服用我的药，没有不愈的。点药配方：用水银一钱、硼砂一钱、轻粉一钱、鹊粪一钱、莺粪一钱、冰片五分、潮脑五分、绿矾一钱、皂矾一钱、麝香三分，研为极细末。用针刺一个小孔，然后趁其出血的时候，将药点上，就会粘连。大约用一分药，用人乳调和，点在患处大小如鸡豆子。一天点三次，第二天必然流水。流水的时候，不能再点，点了则会过痛，反而难以收口。三天后必然水流尽，而皮肤宽松如袋，之后用煎方治疗，必然平复如初。煎方如下：人参三钱，茯苓五钱，薏苡仁一两，泽泻二钱，猪苓一钱，黄芪一两，白芍五钱，生甘草一钱，陈皮一钱，山药三钱，水煎服。十剂后全部消除恢复原状。但要忌房事一个月，其余无禁忌。如果犯房事，必然破溃不能收口，终身成为漏疮。
张公说：碎治的方法还有很多，我应当扩充它。有的人手臂生疮，变成大块，像拳头那么大，必须用刀割去，人必会晕厥，不可模仿学习。我有奇方，只用小刀，略微破开皮肤一分，然后用药末敷上，即化为水，这是神方。方用人参三钱，甘草一钱，硼砂一分，冰片一分，轻粉半分，各研为末。掺上去即化为水。此方是化毒奇方，不可轻视。还有人在肚子上生疮，结成顽固肿块，整年不去的，也可照上面的方法治疗，立竿见影。
凡是身上、手臂上、头上长虫鸟之病的，岐真人已经传授了妙方，何必再传，没有比岐真人更奇妙的了。脚上长瘤像斗大的，我有一法，不必破碎治疗，只用针轻轻刺一个小针眼，用前面的药敷上，必然流水不止，急忙用煎方治疗，方用人参三两，黄芪三两，生甘草、薏苡仁各五两，白芥子三钱，水煎服。两剂即消尽其水，而人绝无疲惫之色。这是内外双治的方法，但最终还是要针刺其孔，不能说不是碎治。此方的奇妙之处，在于补益本源之气，又利水而不耗气。刺孔出水，未免大损元气，现在补其气，又何惧水尽出呢？这就是此方之所以奇、之所以妙的原因。
天师说：碎治有七种方法未传授。一种洗筋，一种破脑，一种破腹，一种洗肠，一种换舌，一种换皮，一种接骨，你不相信吗？所谓换皮，并非真的换皮，而是说皮内有病，去掉坏皮，再生新皮；舌头被人咬断可以接上。破皮流血，就是治瘿瘤的方法。本不宜传授，但你善于提问，再传授两种方法。皮肤上生顽固癣症，终年经年，服药无效，擦拭治疗无功。用刀削去顽癣一块的皮肤，用前面的生肌药敷五钱，掺上去必然痒得受不了，削起来也不十分痛。应当用麻药让人饮用，使人不知知觉，然后用刀掺药。麻药方如下：羊踯躅三钱，茉莉花根一钱，当归一两，菖蒲三分，水煎。服一碗，人就如同睡熟，任人刀割，不痛不痒。换皮后三日，用人参五钱，生甘草三钱，陈皮五分，半夏一钱，白薇一钱，菖蒲五分，茯苓五钱，煎服即可醒过来。因为羊踯躅专能迷心，茉莉根也能使人无知觉，用菖蒲引入心窍，以此迷乱心神。不服人参，可以十日不醒。后来用人参解毒，是因为正气旺盛，邪药自解；各味药都是助正气的，也用菖蒲引入心经。身体温暖地躺着，安稳如酣睡之人。

Discussion on Tumors, Goiters, Stubborn Tinea, Tongue Reattachment, Tooth Growth, and Tooth Consolidation.

Various medicines fail to cure them; or there may be magpie-shaped entities inside the head, dove-shaped entities inside the hands, etc. There must be no internal organ pathology, but rather external manifestations of bizarre forms, such as goiters or tumors. It is necessary to excise the tumors and goiters, and remove the bird-like entities, for the disease to heal. However, this is still considered an extraneous complication. Although scalpels (dao gui) are used, the five zang organs are not harmed. Applying a tissue-regenerating medicine to the wound makes the patient appear as healthy as anyone else. Only when worms grow in the brain is it necessary to split open the skull, remove the worms, and thereby eliminate the headache disorder (tou feng). As for turtles, snakes, birds, and insects in the abdomen, one must also cut open the lower abdomen to extract these objects before survival is possible. Yet, such medical skills are too miraculous to leave specific prescriptions; preserving this narrative demonstrates that the Dao of Medicine can be so wondrous. Regarding the treatment method: first, use Wangxing Jiu (Forget-Form Wine) to intoxicate the patient until they are dazed and unaware of their surroundings, allowing the surgeon to split them open without feeling any pain. After extracting the worm-like objects, suture the incision with Shen Gao Yi Yao (Miraculous Ointment and Strange Medicines), apply a plaster, and within twenty-four hours, full recovery occurs. Then, slowly administer Jiesheng Tang (Resolve-Life Decoction); the patient awakens as if from a dream, and the previous symptoms vanish instantly. Since the transmission of the Qingnang Shu (Blue Bag Book, referring to profound medical secrets) and after Hua Tuo was punished, these techniques were lost for thousands of years. Now, transmitting them to Shuyuan Gong, I dare not lightly teach such arts to others to avoid causing him similar trouble. The lesson from the past should be heeded; do not repeat the pursuit. Since you ask again about goiters and tumors, I will not keep them secret, but transmit them to you so that you may save lives.
Goiters and tumors differ. A goiter grows attached to the flesh, with a large root and a large body; a tumor has a small root but a large body. Among tumors, there are further distinctions: powder tumors, flesh tumors, tendon tumors, and object tumors. Tendon tumors cannot be treated, nor need they be; over ten years, they may only grow as large as a walnut. Powder tumors naturally rupture after three years, expelling powder resembling incense ash; once expelled, they heal spontaneously, requiring no treatment. Flesh tumors are easiest to treat: use 1 qian of Mercury, 3 qian of Ercha (Catechu), 3 fen of Borneol, 1 qian of Borax, 3 fen of Musk, 5 qian of Phellodendron Bark, and 3 qian of Dragon's Blood. Grind each into fine powder. Apply this medicine to the root of the tumor; as you rub, it falls off. Those with small roots invariably fall off. Object tumors have large roots and are hardest to treat. They not only move but also make noises inexplicably, sounding like insect chirps or bird calls. One must cut open the central hole with a knife so the object cannot stay and must break out. Afterwards, apply a tissue-regenerating divine medicine; the tumor turns to water and flattens back to normal. This condition arises from disrespecting spirits and offending Tai Sui (the Grand Duke Jupiter); the illness is unpredictable and irrational, hence omitted from the *Neijing* (Inner Canon), though such diseases do exist in the world. The formula for Tissue-Regenerating Powder is as follows: 1 qian of Ginseng, 3 qian of Panax Notoginseng Root powder, 5 fen of Calomel, 3 qian of Qilin Dragon's Blood, 1 qian of Elephant Skin, 1 qian of Frankincense (oil removed), 1 qian of Myrrh, 3 qian of Thousand-Year Calcined Stone, 1 qian of Costus Root powder, 3 fen of Borneol, and 2 qian of Catechu. Grind all into extremely fine powder until silent. Preparation must occur on the Dragon Boat Festival (Duanwu); no one else may witness it.
Goiters vary in type and shape but are all caused by Damp-Heat. They grow from small to large, from large to ruptured, and from ruptured to death. Pierce a small hole with a needle, then apply the medicine while bleeding occurs to promote adhesion. Use approximately 1 fen, mixed with human milk, applied to an area the size of a chickpea. Apply three times a day; on the second day, fluid will flow. Do not apply more during fluid discharge, as excessive application causes severe pain and hinders healing. After three days, fluid stops, and the skin hangs loosely like a bag. Subsequently, use the decoction below for complete restoration. Decoction Formula: 3 qian of Ginseng, 5 qian of Poria, 1 liang of Coix Seed, 2 qian of Alisma, 1 qian of Polyporus, 1 liang of Astragalus, 5 qian of White Peony Root, 1 qian of Raw Licorice, 1 qian of Tangerine Peel, 3 qian of Chinese Yam. Decoct in water and drink. Ten doses result in complete resolution. Abstain from sexual activity for one month; otherwise, no restrictions apply. Violating this leads to non-healing ulcers becoming chronic fistulas for life.
Master Zhang said: There are many fragmented treatment methods, which I shall expand upon. Some develop arm ulcers that become large masses, fist-sized. These must be excised, but patients often faint; thus, imitation is inadvisable. I have a miraculous formula: use a small knife to slightly breach the skin by one fen, then apply powder. It dissolves into water—a divine prescription. Formula: 3 qian of Ginseng, 1 qian of Licorice, 1 fen of Borax, 1 fen of Borneol, 0.5 fen of Calomel. Grind into powder and sprinkle; it dissolves immediately. This is a miraculous detoxification formula; do not underestimate it. Abdominal ulcers forming stubborn masses lasting all year can also be treated this way with instant effect.
For parasitic bird/insect diseases on the body, arms, or head, Master Qi has already transmitted excellent formulas; why transmit again? None surpass Master Qi. For foot tumors the size of a dou (a unit of volume), I have a method not requiring fragmentation: gently pierce a small hole with a needle, apply the aforementioned medicine, and fluid will flow incessantly. Immediately treat with a decoction: 3 liang of Ginseng, 3 liang of Astragalus, 5 liang each of Raw Licorice and Coix Seed, 3 qian of White Mustard Seed. Decoct in water. Two doses drain all fluid without leaving the patient exhausted. This is a dual internal-external treatment. Although it involves piercing, it is still considered fragmented therapy. Its wonder lies in tonifying primordial Qi while promoting diuresis without depleting Qi. Piercing to drain fluid damages Yuan Qi (Primordial Qi); by tonifying Qi, we fear not the loss of fluid. This is the miracle and subtlety of this formula.
The Heavenly Master said: Seven fragmented treatments remain untransmitted. One washes tendons, one splits the brain, one splits the abdomen, one washes intestines, one replaces the tongue, one replaces skin, and one reconnects bones. Do you not believe? "Replacing skin" means removing diseased skin to regenerate new skin; reattaching a bitten-off tongue. Splitting skin to bleed refers to treating goiters/tumors. This was not meant for transmission, but since you ask well, I will transmit two more. For stubborn tinea on the skin, unresponsive to herbs or rubbing for years: shave off the scaly skin with a knife, apply 5 qian of the aforementioned tissue-regenerating medicine. It will cause unbearable itching but minimal pain during shaving. Administer an anesthetic decoction to induce unconsciousness, then proceed with surgery. Anesthetic Formula: 3 qian of Rhododendron Molle (Yang Zhizhu), 1 qian of Jasmine Root, 1 liang of Angelica Sinensis, 3 fen of Acorus. Decoct in water. Drink one bowl; the patient sleeps deeply, feeling no pain or itch during cutting. Three days post-skin replacement, administer a waking decoction: 5 qian of Ginseng, 3 qian of Raw Licorice, 5 fen of Tangerine Peel, 1 qian of Pinellia, 1 qian of White Peony Herb, 5 fen of Acorus, 5 qian of Poria. Decoct and drink to awaken. Rhododendron Molle confuses the heart; Jasmine root induces insensibility; Acorus guides the herbs into the heart orifices to confuse the spirit. Without Ginseng, the patient might not wake for ten days. Ginseng restores righteous Qi, resolving the toxic effects; other herbs support righteousness, guided by Acorus to the Heart Meridian. The patient lies warm and still, sound asleep.
If a tongue tip is bitten off, or severed at the root, whether one day, two days, or half a month later, it can be reattached. Quickly take one dog tongue. Observe the patient's tongue size, cut the dog tongue to match the human tongue's appearance. Extend the patient's tongue root; have the patient sit on a chair, recline with head on the backrest, and hold their own throat to extend the tongue. Dip the dog tongue in powder medicine and attach it to the human tongue. Once joined, it never falls off. Powder Formula: 3 qian of Longchi (Dragon Teeth, transparent variety), 3 fen of Borneol, 3 qian of Ginseng (transparent variety), 1 qian of Elephant Skin, 3 qian of Rehmannia Root, 3 ground beetles (remove heads and wings), 20 earth lice. Grind Ginseng and others into powder first. Mash ground beetles and earth lice, mix into the powder, wear on the body for three days, dry, and grind into powder. Store in a bottle for treating such cases. (Commentary: Tongue-Reattaching Divine Pill.) This powder is miraculous for bone setting; ingesting 1 qian heals fractures instantly.
It is said that biting off a tongue and rinsing with vinegar allows regrowth. The Master says: Nonsense. Acid causes flesh to contract; how could it extend? Regrowth requires a Divine Pill. Since you pray to Heaven, I will teach you. Rinse mouth for half a day with a decoction of 1 liang of Ginseng. After finishing, use 3 fen of Dragon Teeth powder, 1 qian of Ginseng powder, 1 qian of Ophiopogon powder, 3 fen of Dragon's Blood, 2 fen of Borneol, 1 ground beetle, and 10 earth lice. Roast each over fire, place on earth for a moment to remove fire heat. While finishing the Ginseng rinse, dip your tongue in this powder to coat it thoroughly. Do not retract the tongue immediately; hold it outside for half a moment until unbearable, then retract. Repeat three times, and the tongue elongates. This is a Divine Pill, extraordinarily miraculous and inconceivable. (Commentary: Tongue-Growing Divine Pill.)
Tooth-Growth Method: Use the entire spine of a male rat (discard other bones, tail, head). Mix with 3 qian of Drynaria Root, stir-fried into powder. Add 1 fen of Musk. Dry prepared Rehmannia Root by carrying it on the body until dry, then grind into 3 qian of powder. Prepared Rehmannia must be homemade; absolutely no iron contact, or efficacy is lost. Raw Rehmannia must also avoid iron needles piercing it. Add 3 fen of Asarum, 3 fen of Elm Bark. In summary, none of the herbs may touch iron. Add 1 qian of Angelica Sinensis, 2 qian of Blue Salt, 1 qian of Eucommia. Grind all into ultra-fine powder. Remove meat from rat bone, roast on new tile until dry (do not burn), preserving its vital energy. Store in a porcelain jar. At dawn (Wugeng time), silently, lightly rub the powder onto edentulous areas thirty-six times. Allow the medicine to be swallowed naturally; do not rinse with water. Continue for one month. Rubbing at noon is even better, following the same count.
Tooth-Fortifying Formula: Use one male rat spine, 1 qian of Angelica Sinensis, 3 qian of Prepared Rehmannia, 1 qian of Asarum, 3 qian of Elm Bark, 3 qian of Drynaria Root, 1 qian of Blue Salt, 2 qian of Eucommia. Grind into powder. Wrap in cotton paper into strips. Chew on the gums until the flavor dissipates. One strip prevents tooth loss forever. Again, avoid iron contact. Fortunately, you benefited from this medicine, hence your teeth remain firm past fifty. Do not worry; yesterday you took my talisman. Transmit this to save others. This medicine can save hundreds; roughly three strips per person.
Master Zhang said: The tendon-washing method is hardest to transmit and least effective; it is best discussed only as symptom management. Tendon contraction stems from blood failing to nourish. Chronic lack of nourishment causes tendon shortening and inability to regenerate. One must cut skin and flesh to wash with medicine. If the method is flawed or medicine impure, success is impossible, leading to death. Is it not better not to transmit it? Splitting the brain is especially dangerous. Was Cao Cao not wise? Lightly splitting a living person's brain kills them; who would believe revival? Amidst noise and chaos, how can one calmly devise methods to restore consciousness? Splitting the abdomen exposes intestines; the patient appears dead, and belief in revival is absent. Washing intestines is similar. This is why Master Qi hid these methods. Today, light transmission invites criticism. For tongue and skin replacement, Master Qi left unique arts; how can we add depth now?
Tongue reattachment is miraculous; tongue growth is more so. Without immortal transmission, how could the world possess these methods? Respect them; preserve them for millennia.
Tooth growth and fortification are minor arts, not remarkable enough to be strange. Keep them for reference. They are not truly fragmented therapies; thus, they should be deleted here and appended elsewhere.
