(The *Ling Shu: Jing Jin* Chapter)
The Jing Jin (Meridian Sinews) of the Foot-Taiyang Bladder Channel originates at the little toe, ascends to bind at the lateral malleolus, and obliquely ascends to bind at the knee. (The Jing Jin of the Foot-Taiyang Bladder Channel originates at the lateral side of the nail bed of the little toe, which is where the Foot-Taiyang meridian terminates, adjacent to the Zhiyin point. It follows the lateral aspect of the dorsum of the foot, ascending to bind at the Kunlun point of the lateral malleolus, then obliquely ascends to attach at the Yanggu area and binds at the knee. "Bind" (Jie) means to gather. The starting and running sequences of the twelve Jing Jin described subsequently mostly coincide with the twelve meridians; any minor differences are their branch collaterals, which mutually elucidate each other. Only the Jing Jin of the Three Yin channels of the Foot start similarly but end differently, and should be studied together. My note: Why are there "Jing Jin" besides the twelve meridians? Meridians circulate Ying Qi inside and outside, entering and exiting the Zang-Fu organs in sequence; Jing Jin connect and link the bones, thus maintaining and connecting the whole body, each having a fixed location. Although the areas traversed by the Jing Jin mostly overlap with the meridians, the places where they bind and flourish are most prominent in the valleys between muscles of the four limbs, because sinews converge at the joints. Sinews belong to Wood, and their luster manifests in the nails; thus, the twelve Jing Jin all originate between the fingers and toes of the four limbs, then flourish at the accessory bones, bind at the elbows and wrists, tie to the knee joints, connect to the muscles, ascend to the neck and nape, and terminate at the head and face. This is the general outline of the body's Jing Jin. Sinews have rigidity and flexibility; the rigid ones constrain the bones, while the flexible ones maintain connection, just as there are Luo vessels within the meridians and fine threads within the net. Therefore, the sinews running straight along the hands, feet, neck, and back attached to the bones are firm and large, whereas the branch sinews crossing horizontally in the chest, abdomen, head, and face are soft and thin. However, the Jing Jin of the Twelve Hand and Foot Meridians differ from each other. For instance, the Three Yang channels of the Hand and Foot run on the exterior, and their sinews are mostly rigid; the Three Yin channels of the Hand and Foot run on the interior, and their sinews are mostly flexible. The Jing Jin of the Foot Three Yin and Foot Yangming channels all gather at the external genitalia; hence it is said that the anterior yin is the gathering place of the Zong Jin (Master Sinew). This is another great convergence of sinews. Furthermore, all sinews in the body are generated by the Liver; therefore, only the Jing Jin of the Foot-Jueyin Liver channel connects the various sinews, and the Liver is called the root of fatigue. This explains the difference between meridians and Jing Jin.) Descending from below, it follows the lateral malleolus and binds at the heel; ascending along the Achilles tendon, it binds at the popliteal fossa (Weizhong). (Below refers to the lower part of the dorsum of the foot. Heel (Zhong) is the prominent part of the calcaneus; Gen is the area above the heel at the Chengshan point, corresponding to the Pucan and Shenmai points. Binding at the popliteal fossa Weizhong. Guo sounds like "Guo". Guo is synonymous with "Guo", referring to the hollow behind the knee.) Its branch binds at the lateral aspect of the calf muscle, ascends along the medial side of the leg, and merges with the main tendon at Weizhong. (This is the branch emerging from the side of the large tendon, forming a separate, flexible, short tendon, similar to branches on a tree. Subsequent mentions of "branch" or "separate" follow this pattern. This branch diverges from the lateral malleolus, passes below the tip of the calf muscle, runs posterior to the Foot-Shaoyang Gallbladder Channel, binds at the Feiyang point (Luo-connecting point) on the lateral side of the calf muscle, then ascends to the medial side of the leg, merging with the large tendon at Weizhong.) Ascending, it binds at the buttocks; (Adjacent to the coccyx, at the Huiyang point. Tun is the pronunciation for Tun.) Ascending alongside the spine to the nape; (Alongside the dorsal spine, dividing left and right to ascend to the nape, converging at the Toudao and Dazhui points of the Du Vessel. These are all rigid sinews attached to the spine.) Its branch enters obliquely and binds at the base of the tongue; (Its branch, from the nape, enters obliquely inward, binding at the base of the tongue with the Jing Jin of the Hand-Shaoyang Sanjiao Channel, and disperses under the tongue. From here upwards, these are all flexible sinews dispersing in the head and face.) Its straight course binds at the occiput, ascends to the head, descends to the face, and binds at the nose; (Its straight course ascends from the nape, combining with the Jing Jin of the Foot-Shaoyin Kidney Channel between the occipital bones at the back of the head, then ascends over the head, descends anteriorly to the face, and binds at both sides below the nose. The upper forehead is called Yan.) Its branch serves as the upper eyelid network, descending to bind at the zygoma; (Network refers to the ligamentous structure that constrains the eyelashes and controls opening and closing. Below the eye is , i.e., the zygomatic bone. This branch descends from the vertex entering the brain to the root of the eye, disperses above the eye to form the upper eyelid network, and descends to bind at the zygoma, combining with the Jing Jin of the Foot-Shaoyang Gallbladder Channel. Qiu is the pronunciation for Qiu.) Its branch, from the posterior-lateral margin of the axilla, binds at the Jianyu point; (Another branch, from the paraspinal region, follows the posterior-lateral margin of the axilla, runs posterior to the Foot-Shaoyang Gallbladder Channel, ascends to the shoulder, meets the Jing Jin of the Hand-Yangming Large Intestine Channel, and binds at the Jianyu point.) Its branch enters the axilla, ascends out of the Quepen point, and binds at the Wanggu point; (This posterior-running branch moves from the posterior axilla to the axilla, exits obliquely anteriorly through the Yangming Quepen point, then goes straight up from behind the ear, meeting the Jing Jin of the Hand-Taiyang Small Intestine and Foot-Shaoyang Gallbladder Channels, binding at the Wanggu point. Wanggu is the high bone behind the ear.) Its branch emerges from the Quepen point, obliquely ascends out of the mandible. (This anterior-running branch diverges from the previously mentioned Quepen tendon, ascends separately to the chin and jaw, obliquely exits the mandible, and combines with the part binding below at . Below this, there are still needling methods for diseases of the twelve Jing Jin, see Diseases Category 69, originating from the same chapter, which should be cross-referenced.)
The Jing Jin of the Foot-Shaoyang Gallbladder Channel originates at the fourth toe, ascends to bind at the lateral malleolus, follows the lateral aspect of the tibia, and binds at the lateral aspect of the knee; (Adjacent to the fourth toe, Xiaoyin point. Lateral malleolus, adjacent to Qiuxu point. Lateral aspect of the tibia, adjacent to Waiqiu and Yangjiao points. Lateral aspect of the knee, adjacent to Yanglingquan and Yangguan points. These are all rigid sinews. Jing is pronounced Xi Jing.) Its branch originates separately from the lateral fibular head, ascends to the thigh; the anterior part binds above the Futu point, and the posterior part binds at the Kao (sacrum/coccyx); (The bone protruding on both sides below the knee is called the auxiliary bone. The flesh rising six cun above the knee is called Futu. The sacrum/coccyx is called Kao. This branch ascends from the lateral fibular head to the thigh, dividing into two paths: the anterior binds at the Yangming Futu point, and the posterior binds at the Du Vessel's Kao point. Here, rigidity and flexibility check each other, linking the buttocks and knees to operate the pivot. Bi is pronounced Bing Mi, also Bi. Kao is pronounced Kai Gao.) Its straight course ascends past the hypochondrium, walks to the anterior margin of the axilla, ties to the chest and breast, and binds at the Quepen point; (The empty soft area below the floating ribs is called . The high area on both sides of the upper chest is called Ying. This straight course goes from the lateral fibular head to the thigh, ascends past the hip joint, follows the hypochondrium to the axilla, lies below the Hand-Taiyin Lung Channel, exits the anterior margin of the axilla, crosses to bind at the chest and breast area, ascends to bind at the Quepen point, and combines with the Jing Jin of the Hand-Taiyin Lung Channel. These are all rigid sinews. Miao is pronounced Miao, alternatively written as Miao; the *Wuyin Pian* says it means "few," implying there are few bones in this area.) The straight course ascends out of the axilla, penetrates the Quepen point, emerges anterior to the Foot-Taiyang Channel, follows behind the ear, ascends to the frontal angle, intersects at the vertex, descends to the mandible, and ascends to bind at the zygoma; (This straight course ascends directly from the axilla, penetrates the Quepen point, combining with the part binding at Quepen above, then runs anterior to the Foot-Taiyang Jing Jin, follows the ear to the frontal angle, intersects with the Taiyang Jing Jin at the vertex, then proceeds from the Touwei point of the Foot-Yangming Stomach Channel to the front of the ear, descends to the cheek/jaw, and ascends again to bind at the zygoma. Han is pronounced He Gan, meaning below the cheek. "Swallow jaw" refers to this.) A branch binds at the outer canthus of the eye as the outer support. (This branch slants from the zygoma to bind at the outer canthus, serving as the outer support for the eye. The ability of humans to look left and right depends on the extension and contraction of this tendon. According to this chapter, looking from left to right causes the right eye not to open, passing over the right corner, traveling with the Qiao vessels, and connecting left to right; see Diseases Category 69 for details.)
The Jing Jin of the Foot-Yangming Stomach Channel originates at the middle three toes, binds at the dorsum of the foot, obliquely adds to the lateral side of the fibula, ascends to bind at the lateral aspect of the knee, goes straight up to bind at the hip joint, and ascends along the costal region to attach to the spine; (Middle three toes refer to the middle toe, adjacent to Lidui point. Binds at the Chongyang point on the dorsum of the foot, running obliquely from the foot surface, emerging between the sinews of the Taiyin and Shaoyang channels, ascending to the fibula, binding at the lateral aspect of the knee, going straight up to the hip joint, running anterior to the Shaoyang channel, following the costal region backward, and attaching internally to the spine.) Its straight course ascends along the tibia, binds at the knee; its branch binds at the lateral fibular head, combining with the Shaoyang; (Gan is the tibia. Its straight course follows the tibia from the dorsum, binds at the lateral aspect of the knee below the ST36 point, and ascends to the center of the patella. Its branch runs obliquely upward from the anterior dorsum of the foot, binds at the Yanglingquan point of the lateral fibular head, and combines with the Shaoyang channel. Gan is pronounced Gan.) Its straight course ascends along the Futu, binds at the thigh, gathers at the external genitalia, and spreads upward onto the abdomen; (This straight course goes straight up from the patella, follows the Futu and Biguan points, binds in the thigh, then ascends to gather at the external genitalia. The Yin and Yang converge at the Zong Jin, meeting at the Qichuang point with the Yangming channel as the leader. From the Henggu point, it runs bilaterally alongside, following the Tianshu and Guanmen points, and spreads upward onto the abdomen. All parts from here to the neck are rigid sinews.) Reaching the Quepen point, it binds, ascends to the neck, ascends alongside the mouth, meets at the zygoma, descends to bind at the nose, and ascends to combine with the Foot-Taiyang Channel. The Foot-Taiyang Channel forms the upper eyelid network, and the Foot-Yangming Channel forms the lower eyelid network; (From the Quepen point, it ascends to the neck entering the Renying point, then follows the chin/cheek, ascending alongside the mouth corners, meeting the Yang Qiao vessel at the Dicang point, ascending to meet at the zygoma, descending to bind beside the nose, and ascending again at the Jingming point to combine with the Foot-Taiyang Channel. The fine sinews of the Taiyang channel disperse above the eye, hence forming the upper eyelid network; the fine sinews of the Yangming channel disperse below the eye, hence forming the lower eyelid network.) Its branch binds at the front of the ear from the cheek. Its branch, from between the chin and cheek, ascends to bind at the front of the ear, meeting the Shangguan and Hanyan points of the Foot-Shaoyang Gallbladder Channel, and terminates at the Touwei point.)
The Jing Jin of the Foot-Taiyin Spleen Channel originates at the medial end of the big toe, ascending to bind at the medial malleolus; (The medial end of the big toe is Yinbai point. Following the nuclear bone upward, it binds at the Shangqiu point below the medial malleolus.) Its straight course binds at the medial condyle of the knee, ascends along the medial thigh, binds at the thigh, and gathers at the external genitalia; ("Luo" should be read as "Jie". This goes straight up from the medial malleolus, binding at the Yinlingquan point of the medial condyle of the knee. The medial side of the thigh is called Yin Gu. Binding at the thigh, adjacent to the Jimen point. It then ascends to both ends of the Henggu point, meeting the Foot-Jueyin Liver Channel at the Chongmen point, encircling the Qugu point, and gathering with the sinews of the Foot-Shaoyang and Foot-Yangming channels at the external genitalia. These are all rigid sinews.) Ascending to the abdomen, it binds at the umbilicus, follows the interior of the abdomen, binds at the ribs, and disperses in the chest; its internal branch attaches to the spine. (The anterior path goes from the external genitalia to the abdomen, meeting the Hand-Shaoyin Heart Channel Jing Jin to bind at the umbilicus, follows the interior of the abdomen via the Daheng and Fu'ai points to bind at the ribs, then disperses into flexible, thin sinews ascending to spread in the chest at the Xiongxiang and Dabao points. The internal path goes from between the Zong Jin of the external genitalia, alongside the Yangming and Shaoyin sinews, ascending to attach to the spine.)
The Jing Jin of the Foot-Shaoyin Kidney Channel originates below the little toe, running alongside the Foot-Taiyin Spleen Channel, obliquely walking below the medial malleolus, binding at the heel, combining with the Foot-Taiyang Channel Jing Jin, and ascending to bind below the medial condyle; (The Jing Jin of the Foot-Shaoyin Kidney Channel originates below the little toe, obliquely trends toward the sole of the foot, then obliquely trends medially, ascending to the Rangu point, alongside the Shangqiu point of the Foot-Taiyin Spleen Channel, walking below the medial malleolus, binding between the heels, combining with the Foot-Taiyang Jing Jin, ascending medially from the heel, and binding at the Yinvalley point below the medial condyle. Running alongside the Taiyin Jing Jin, it ascends along the medial thigh, binds at the external genitalia. From the medial condyle, alongside the Taiyin Jing Jin, it ascends along the medial thigh, reaches the Henggu point, and combines with the Taiyin, Jueyin, and Yangming sinews to bind at the external genitalia. These are all rigid sinews.) Following the interior of the spine, alongside the erector spinae muscles, it ascends to the nape, binds at the occiput, and combines with the Foot-Taiyang Channel Jing Jin. (From the internal aspect of the external genitalia, it ascends via the uterus to the space between the kidneys, travels with the Chong Vessel along both sides of the spine, alongside the erector spinae muscles, ascends to the nape, combines with the Foot-Taiyang Jing Jin, binds at the occiput, and attaches internally to the Sea of Marrow. Lv is pronounced Lv.)
The Jing Jin of the Foot-Jueyin Liver Channel originates above the big toe, ascending to bind anterior to the medial malleolus; (Above the hairline of the big toe, adjacent to the Dazhun point. Running on the dorsum of the foot, it runs parallel with the Foot-Taiyin Spleen Channel Jing Jin, binding at the Zhongfeng point anterior to the medial malleolus.) Ascending along the tibia, it binds below the medial condyle, ascends along the medial thigh, binds at the external genitalia, and connects the various sinews. (From the medial malleolus, ascending the leg, following the Sanyinjiao point, it runs alongside the Foot-Shaoyin Kidney Channel Jing Jin, binds at the Ququan point below the medial condyle, then joins the Taiyin Jing Jin, ascends along the medial thigh via the Wuli and Yinlian points, ascends to the Jimai point, and binds at the external genitalia. The external genitalia is where the sinews of the Taiyin, Jueyin, Yangming, and Shaoyin channels, as well as the Chong, Ren, and Du vessels, all gather; hence it is called the Zong Jin. Jueyin belongs to the Liver, and the Liver governs the sinews; thus, it connects the various sinews to unify them, achieving robust function.)
The Jing Jin of the Hand-Taiyang Small Intestine Channel originates above the little finger, binds at the wrist, ascends along the medial aspect of the arm, binds posterior to the sharp bone of the elbow, and when tapped, sensation responds above the little finger, entering to bind in the axilla; (The lateral side above the little finger is the Shaose point. Ascending, it binds at the Wangu and Yanggu points on the lateral side of the wrist, ascends along the medial aspect of the arm, binds posterior to the sharp bone below the elbow at the Xiaohai point. Pressing the tendon in the gap between the two bones below the elbow tip with a finger causes numbness responding above the little finger, which is the verification. Also, from the lateral aspect above the elbow, it enters to bind below the posterior axilla. These are all rigid sinews.) Its branch walks posteriorly to the posterior margin of the axilla, winds around the scapula, follows the neck to emerge anterior to the Foot-Taiyang Channel, and binds at the Wanggu point behind the ear; (Its branch combines with the Foot-Taiyang Jing Jin at the axilla, walks to the posterior margin of the axilla, winds around the scapula, runs at the Jianwai and Jianzhongshu points of the shoulder, follows the Tianchuang point of the neck, emerges anterior to the Foot-Taiyang Jing Jin exiting from the Quepen point, and binds together at the Wanggu point behind the ear.) Its branch enters the ear; the straight course emerges above the ear, descends to bind at the mandible, and ascends to attach to the outer canthus. (This branch ascends from the Quya point of the neck, enters the ear at the Tinggong point. Its straight course ascends out above the ear, meets the Jiaosun point of the Hand-Shaoyang Sanjiao Channel. The part descending anteriorly follows the chin to bind at the mandible, combining with the Hand-Yangming Large Intestine Jing Jin. The part ascending anteriorly attaches to the Tongziliao point at the outer canthus, combining with the Hand and Foot Shaoyang Jing Jin.)
The Jing Jin of the Hand-Shaoyang Sanjiao Channel originates at the end of the ring finger, binds at the middle of the wrist, follows the arm to bind at the elbow, winds around the lateral aspect of the elbow, ascends to the shoulder, walks to the neck, and combines with the Hand-Taiyang Channel; (The end of the ring finger is adjacent to the Guanchong point. Ascending, it binds at the Yangchi point of the wrist, follows the Waiguan and Zhigou points of the arm, emerges between the two bones of the upper arm to bind at the elbow. From the lateral aspect of the elbow, it travels through the Huizui point, running inside the Taiyang channel and outside the Yangming channel, ascends to the Jianjing point, walks to the Tiannou point of the neck, and combines with the Hand-Taiyang Jing Jin. These are all rigid sinews.) Its branch, at the angle of the jaw, enters to tie to the base of the tongue; (Its branch, from the neck at the angle of the jaw, enters downward to tie to the base of the tongue, combining with the Foot-Taiyang Jing Jin.) Its branch ascends to the Quya point, follows the front of the ear, attaches to the outer canthus, surmounts the mandible, and binds at the frontal angle. (Another branch travels from the cheek to the Quya point, meets the Foot-Yangming Jing Jin, follows the front of the ear upward, intertwines with the Hand-Taiyang and Foot-Shaoyang Jing Jin, and meets at the Jiaosun point above the ear. It then attaches to the outer canthus and meets again at the Tongziliao point. Han should be read as E (forehead), as this tendon travels externally from the front of the ear, intersects with the Three Yang channels, ascends to the left and right of both foreheads, and binds at the upper angle of the forehead.)
The Jing Jin of the Hand-Yangming Large Intestine Channel originates at the end of the index finger, binds at the wrist, ascends along the arm, binds at the lateral aspect of the elbow, ascends to the shoulder, and binds at the Jianyu point; (The end of the index finger is adjacent to the Shangyang point. Passing through the Hegu point, it binds at the Yangxi point above the wrist, follows the upper margin of the arm, binds again at the Zhouyao point at the lateral aspect of the elbow, then ascends to the shoulder meeting the Foot-Taiyang Jing Jin, and binds at the Jianyu point. These are all rigid sinews.) Its branch winds around the scapula, flanking the spine; (This branch curves posteriorly from the Jianyu point, winds around the scapula, and combines with the Hand and Foot Taiyang Jing Jin to flank the spine.) The straight course ascends from the Jianyu point to the neck; (This straight course travels from the shoulder via the Gugu point, ascending to the Tianding and Futu points of the neck.) Its branch ascends to the cheek, binding at the zygoma; (This branch ascends from the neck to the cheek, enters the lower teeth, and ascends to bind at the zygoma of the Hand-Taiyang Small Intestine Channel.) The straight course emerges anterior to the Hand-Taiyang Channel, ascends to the left corner, networks the head, and descends to the right mandible; (This straight course emerges from the neck, anterior to the Tianchuang and Tianrong points of the Hand-Taiyang Small Intestine Channel, travels anterior to the ear to the left frontal angle, networks the head, and descends to the right mandible. Speaking of the left implies the right is included, just as in meridians, left goes to right and right goes to left. Thus, the right course also ascends to the right frontal angle, intersects and networks the head, and descends to the left mandible to combine with the Taiyang and Shaoyang Jing Jin.)
The Jing Jin of the Hand-Taiyin Lung Channel originates above the thumb, follows the finger upward, binds posterior to the Thenar eminence, runs on the lateral side of the Cun Kou point; (Above the thumb, adjacent to the Shaoshang point. Posterior to the fish is the Yuji point. The lateral side of the Cun Kou is adjacent to the Lieque point.) Ascending along the arm, it binds at the elbow, ascends to the medial margin of the axilla, and enters the axilla; (Ascending along the arm, it binds at the Chize point in the center of the elbow, ascends to the Tianfu point at the medial margin of the axilla, then transversely enters the axilla, combining with the Hand-Shaoyin Heart Channel Jing Jin. These parts above are all rigid sinews.) Exiting the Quepen point, it binds at the anterior acromion (Jianliao/Jianyu area); (This exits the axilla, ascends out of the Quepen, runs anterior to the Three Yang channels on the shoulder, and binds at the anterior acromion.) Ascending, it binds at the Quepen point, descends to bind in the chest interior, disperses through the贲 (Bī) [cardia], combines with the Bī, and descends to the hypochondrium. (The ascending path goes from the axilla upward, joining the Three Yang Jing Jin of the Foot to bind at the Quepen point. The descending path enters the chest from the axilla, binds in the chest interior, disperses through the cardia (upper opening of the stomach), combines with the Hand-Jueyin Pericardium Jing Jin, descends to the hypochondrium, and combines with the Foot-Shaoyang and Foot-Jueyin Jing Jin. My note: In *Nan Jing* Chapter 44, Seven Gates, the stomach is the Bī Gate. Yang Xuancao said: Bī refers to the diaphragm, the exit of Stomach Qi. Stomach sends grain Qi to transmit to the Lung; the Lung is above the diaphragm, hence the Stomach is the Bī Gate. Examining this, the meridians travel through the Triple Burner, and organs are arranged in the Five Internal Organs. Where their collaterals intersect: in the Upper Burner, they connect to the throat; in the Middle Burner, to the Bī and diaphragm; in the Lower Burner, to the two yins. Apart from these three places, there is no connection. Ben is pronounced Mi, also Ben.)
The Jing Jin of the Hand-Jueyin Pericardium Channel originates at the middle finger, running parallel with the Hand-Taiyin Jing Jin, binding at the medial aspect of the elbow; (The end of the middle finger is adjacent to the Zhongchong point. Following the finger into the palm, to the Daling point posterior to the palm, it runs alongside the Hand-Taiyin Jing Jin, ascending to bind at the Quze point at the medial aspect of the elbow.) Ascending the medial arm, it binds at the axilla, and descends to disperse anteriorly and posteriorly flanking the ribs; (At the Tianquan point of the medial arm, from the curved axilla alongside the Taiyin Jing Jin, it binds at the axilla at the Tianchi point, descends, and disperses anteriorly and posteriorly flanking the ribs, connecting with the Hand-Taiyin and Foot-Shaoyang Jing Jin. This channel from palm to axilla is all rigid sinews.) Its branch enters the axilla, disperses in the chest, and binds at the Bī (cardia). (This branch, from the Tianchi point, enters the axilla internally, disperses in the chest. "Bi" should be "Ben/Bi" [cardia], as this branch joins the Taiyin Jing Jin to disperse in the chest, thus binding together at the Bī.)
The Jing Jin of the Hand-Shaoyin Heart Channel originates at the medial side of the little finger, binds at the sharp bone, ascends to bind at the medial aspect of the elbow, ascends into the axilla, intersects with the Taiyin, flanks the breast internally; (The medial side of the little finger is adjacent to the Shaochong point. Binding at the sharp bone, adjacent to the Shenmen point. Medial aspect of the elbow, adjacent to the Shaohai point. Ascending into the axilla at the Ji Quan point, it intersects with the Hand-Taiyin Jing Jin, obliquely networks and flanks the breast internally. This channel from finger to axilla is all rigid sinews. Binding in the chest, following the arm, it descends to tie to the umbilicus. (From internally flanking the breast, it binds in the chest, combining with the Three Yin Jing Jin. The character "Bi" [arm] should also be "Ben/Bi" [cardia], as the Pericardium and Shaoyin Jing Jin both combine with the Taiyin at the Bī and descend.)
