A monk suffered from dysphagia (obstruction of the esophagus). On his deathbed, he told his disciple: "There is a foreign object blocking my chest." After his death, the disciple dissected the body and removed a bone. By chance, goose blood was dripped onto the bone, which immediately dissolved. Later, the disciple also contracted dysphagia; after drinking goose blood, he recovered. This was tried repeatedly with miraculous efficacy. Investigation revealed that in this condition, two small bones in the chest gradually converge, leading to an inability to eat and subsequent death. Fresh goose blood should be taken and poured hot against the lesion while warm; the bone will naturally dissolve, allowing food intake. Consumption of goose and beef must be strictly prohibited forever.
