辰药∶上好胆矾，冬月取青鱼胆汁和匀成块阴干，刮下用瓷瓶收贮，其药过一、二年可
用。研末治牙关紧闭，食不能进，口不能开，用鸡毛蘸抹两牙底，令其流出痰涎，少顷即开
矣。
巳药∶梅花冰片二分半，雄精二钱，焰硝一两五钱（要枪硝， 乃佳）。
巳药之性与申药同，论其功更速。如痛重者，先用巳药，后用申药吹之。治单、双蛾，
初起一二日，用此药开痰即愈。未溃可用，已溃不可用，孕妇忌。
午药∶川黄连一钱，明矾一钱，牙皂一钱（去皮弦，新瓦上焙枯存性，研末，入上二味）
，研末，吹患处。扶好病患，嘱其垂头，流去痰涎，其药不可多用。如声似雷音，以温水调
药，徐徐漱之。治喉中痰塞，其功与辰药同。但其性太猛，不宜轻且，不如用辰药平稳，
临时看症酌之。孕妇忌。
未药∶雄精二钱，朴硝五钱，硼砂五钱，研末。如喉咙紧闭不能吹药，用此药吹入鼻内
，其口即开，开后或点或刺或消肿，用巳、申之药。如腐烂用子药。一切喉症皆可用。
申药∶元明粉一两，雄精一钱，去痰消肿，不刚不柔，神妙莫测。孕妇及虚弱人，病热
沉重者，皆不可用。
酉药∶鸡内金一钱（要不落水者，瓦上焙干为末），梅冰片一分，研末，吹患处，可止
痛

以上诸药不见火，研极细末，每次一二分奇效。
治喉风喉痹喉蛾等症喉科第一要药∶凡遇不治之症，吹此药即可开关。真牛黄一钱，露

寅药：青黛一两，人中白五钱，黑山栀五钱，梅花冰片一钱，厚朴五钱（切片，用去核的黑枣三两包裹，在火上煅至存性），研成细末，治疗口疳效果如神。如果遇到伤寒后引发的口疳，另加一角坑砖火研成细末，用量为五钱。
卯药：梅花冰片一钱，雄精一钱，靛花二钱，元明粉二钱，硼砂五钱，粉甘草一钱，川黄连二钱，人中白三钱（煅至存性），铜青五钱（经火煅），黄柏二钱（蜜炙），鸡内金二钱，钞纸二张。用于治疗阴虚证。
辰药：选用上好的胆矾，在冬季取青鱼胆汁与之混合均匀成块，阴干后刮下使用，瓷瓶收贮。此药存放一两年后可用。研成细末，用于治疗牙关紧闭、饮食难进、嘴巴无法张开。用鸡毛蘸取药粉涂抹在两牙龈底部，令其流出痰涎，片刻后即可张口。
巳药：梅花冰片二分半，雄精二钱，焰硝一两五钱（需用枪硝，效果更佳）。

未药：雄精二钱，朴硝五钱，硼砂五钱，研成细末。如果喉咙紧闭无法吹药，将此药吹入鼻内，嘴巴即会张开。张开后，或点药、或针刺、或消肿，使用巳药、申药。如果有腐烂，使用子药。一切喉部病症皆可使用。
申药：元明粉一两，雄精一钱，具有去痰消肿功效，药性不刚不柔，神妙莫测。孕妇及虚弱之人，以及病热沉重者，均不可使用。
酉药：鸡内金一钱（要选未落水的，在瓦上焙干为末），梅冰片一分，研成细末，吹于患处，可止痛。
戊药：硼砂二钱，元明粉二钱，青盐一钱（用火烧红放在地上，过一天以去火毒），研成细末，擦涂重舌、莲花舌。名为紫雪丹，其他病症切不可用。

Used to treat ulceration in the throat. It promotes flesh regeneration, generates new tissue, and removes necrotic tissue.
Chou Medicine: Xiongjing (Realgar Essence) 1 qian, Meihua Bingpian (Plum-blossom Borneol) 5 fen, Danfan (Chalcanthite) 2 fen (calcined), ground into fine powder. Used to treat rotting in the mouth. Use a small amount; do not use excessively.
Yin Medicine: Qingdai (Indigo Naturalis) 1 liang, Renzhongbai (Human Urine Sediment) 5 qian, Heishanzhi (Black Gardenia Fruit) 5 qian, Meihua Bingpian (Plum-blossom Borneol) 1 qian, Houpo (Magnolia Bark) 5 qian (sliced, wrapped in three liang of pitted black dates, calcined on fire until preserved character), ground into fine powder. Mao Medicine: Meihua Bingpian (Plum-blossom Borneol) 1 qian, Xiongjing (Realgar Essence) 1 qian, Dianhua (Indigo Flower) 2 qian, Yuanmingfen (Mirabilite) 2 qian, Pengsha (Borax) 5 qian, Fengangcao (Powdered Licorice Root) 1 qian, Chuanhuanglian (Coptis Rhizome) 2 qian, Renzhongbai (Human Urine Sediment) 3 qian (calcined until preserved character), Tongqing (Verdigris) 5 qian (calcined), Huangbai (Phellodendron Bark) 2 qian (honey-fried), Jineijin (Chicken Gizzard Lining) 2 qian, Chaozhi (Banknotes) 2 sheets. Used to treat Yin deficiency syndrome.
Chen Medicine: Select high-quality Danfan (Chalcanthite). In winter, mix with bile from green fish until uniform and solidified, dry in shade, scrape off, and store in porcelain bottles. The medicine can be used after one or two years. Ground into powder to treat trismus (lockjaw), inability to eat, and inability to open the mouth. Dip a chicken feather in the powder and smear it on the bottom of both gums to induce salivation and phlegm discharge; the mouth will open shortly.
Si Medicine: Meihua Bingpian (Plum-blossom Borneol) 2.5 fen, Xiongjing (Realgar Essence) 2 qian, Yanxiao (Saltpeter/Niter) 1.5 liang (Gun xiao is preferred for better efficacy).
The nature of Si Medicine is the same as Shen Medicine, but its efficacy is faster. For severe pain, use Si Medicine first, then Shen Medicine by insufflation. Treats single and double eumei (tonsillitis/tonsillar hypertrophy). In the initial one or two days, using this medicine to resolve phlegm leads to recovery. Can be used before ulceration, but not after. Contraindicated in pregnancy.
Wu Medicine: Chuanhuanglian (Coptis Rhizome) 1 qian, Mingfan (Alum) 1 qian, Yazao (Gleditsia Sinensis Fruit) 1 qian (skin and strings removed, baked on a new tile until carbonized/preserved character, ground into powder, mixed with the above two ingredients), ground into fine powder, insufflated onto the affected area. Support the patient well, instruct them to lower their head to let phlegm drain. Do not use too much medicine. If the voice sounds like thunder (hoarse/muffled), mix the medicine with warm water and gargle slowly. Treats phlegm obstruction in the throat; its efficacy is similar to Chen Medicine. However, its nature is too fierce; it should not be used lightly. Chen Medicine is more stable. Decide based on symptoms. Contraindicated in pregnancy.
Wei Medicine: Xiongjing (Realgar Essence) 2 qian, Puxiao (Thenardite) 5 qian, Pengsha (Borax) 5 qian, ground into fine powder. If the throat is tightly closed and insufflation is impossible, insufflate this medicine into the nose, which will cause the mouth to open. After opening, apply points, acupuncture, or reduce swelling using Si and Shen medicines. If there is ulceration, use Zi Medicine. Applicable to all throat conditions.
Shen Medicine: Yuanmingfen (Mirabilite) 1 liang, Xiongjing (Realgar Essence) 1 qian. Removes phlegm and reduces swelling. Its nature is neither too harsh nor too mild, working mysteriously. Contraindicated in pregnant women, weak individuals, and those with severe heat diseases.
You Medicine: Jineijin (Chicken Gizzard Lining) 1 qian (select those not fallen into water, bake dry on a tile and grind), Meibingpian (Borneol) 1 fen, ground into fine powder, insufflated onto the affected area to stop pain.
Wu Medicine: Pengsha (Borax) 2 qian, Yuanmingfen (Mirabilite) 2 qian, Qingyan (Green Salt) 1 qian (heated red hot and placed on the ground for a day to remove fire toxicity), ground into fine powder. Lvpao San (Green Robe Powder): Nonghuangbai (Thick Phellodendron Bark) 2 liang, Qingyudan (Green Fish Bile) 1 liang. Bake Huangbai on fire until dry, apply fish bile, bake again, apply again, until bile is exhausted. Slice and grind into powder, add Renzhongbai (Human Urine Sediment) 3 qian, Qingdai (Indigo Naturalis) 3 qian, Danfan (Chalcanthite) 3 qian, Pengsha (Borax) 3 qian, grind into powder. Treats oral canker sores and dingchuang (carbuncles/furuncles).
Hou'e Chuan Fang (Throat Eumei Piercing Formula): Human fingernails, wash clean with clear water, bake on a tile until yellow. For every 1 fen of nail powder, add 1 li of Meipian (Borneol).
Another Formula: Use biqianwo (nest of house cricket), hold with a hairpin, burn over lamp until ash, grind into powder and insufflate.
Yaxuan (Gum Recession/Dental Caries): Qiyeyizhihua (Paris polyphylla / Sanqi) 7 fen, Niuxi (Achyranthes Root) 3 fen, Meipian (Borneol) a little, grind into powder and insufflate. Effect is miraculous.
Tongguan San (Pass Through Gate Powder): Qingyan (Green Salt) 1 qian, Baifan (White Alum) 1 qian, Pengsha (Borax) 5 fen. For sore and swollen throat, unable to swallow even water, insufflate to stop pain.

Attached Decoction Formula: Niubangzi (Arctium Fruit), Xuanshen (Scrophularia Root), Fangfeng (Saposhnikovia Root), Zaojiaoci (Gleditsia Thorn), Manjingzi (Vitex Fruit), Chantui (Cicada Slough), Shigao (Gypsum Fibrosum). After applying previous medicines, decoct this formula in plain water and take for three doses. Avoid fa-wu (stimulating foods), fried foods, pepper, and garlic.
Chuan'e Fang (Piercing Eumei Formula): Tudahuang (Rumex japonicus), dry and grind into fine powder. Dip chopstick tip in medicine and point it; the eumei will break.

Attached Gargle Formula: Fangfeng (Saposhnikovia Root), Gancao (Licorice Root), Yinhua (Honeysuckle Flower), Bohe (Mint), Jingjie (Schizonepeta), Yanmei (Salted Plum), Lipuke (Castanea Shell). Decoct these medicines first to gargle, then insufflate previous medicines. Avoid stimulating foods, fried foods, and pepper.
Three Formulas Huixue, Pinxue, Lvxue for treating Houbi (Sore Throat), Houyong (Throat Abscess), Hou'e (Throat Eumei):
Huixue: Shexiang (Musk) 1 fen, Bingpian (Borneol) 2 fen, Yaxiao (Niter) 1 qian, Pengsha (Borax) 4 qian.
