Patient Ding (Right): Blood is generated by the Heart, stored in the Liver, and controlled by the Spleen. Deficiency of both the Liver and Spleen leads to dysfunction in storing and controlling blood, resulting in prolonged *Beng Lou* (metrorrhagia and metrostaxis). Recently, facial edema and foot swelling have appeared, along with poor appetite and loose stools. The pulse is fine, and the tongue is crimson. This indicates injury to Yin fluids, failure of the Chong and Ren vessels to maintain security, and weakness of the Spleen and Stomach, leading to an inability to transform dampness from food and water. The stomach Qi is the root of life; when Yin injury extends to Yang, the Middle Earth (Spleen/Stomach) deteriorates, and multiple signs of deficiency emerge, entering a dangerous path! For now, we tentatively prescribe methods to tonify Qi and generate Yin, support the Earth and transport the Middle, hoping that the generation of Yang will lead to the growth of Yin, and reliance on grain intake will promote prosperity, which would be fortunate.

Patient Luo (Right): Metrorrhagia and metrostaxis persist, accompanied by emaciation and dizziness. Treatment with Guipi Tang was ineffective. Palpation reveals a fine and rapid pulse; fineness indicates blood deficiency, while rapidity indicates heat. Ying and Blood are severely depleted, and the Chong and Ren vessels are insecure. Yin is deficient below, while Yang floats above. To subdue floating Yang, one must nourish Yin; to clear heat, one must nourish Blood. We prescribe Jiao'ai Siwu Tang combined with Sanjia Yin to nourish Yin and Blood while subduing floating Yang, regulating the Chong and Ren vessels, and securing the Extraordinary Vessels.

Patient Li (Right): Deficiency of both Liver and Spleen causes dysfunction in the organs responsible for storing and controlling blood. Menstrual leakage resembles metrorrhagia, complexion is sallow, pulse is fine and small, and there is soreness and pain in the lumbar bones. The waist is the external mansion of the Kidney, and the Kidney governs the bones; thus, Kidney deficiency causes lumbar pain and bone soreness. We treat from the perspectives of the Heart and Spleen meridians, prescribing modified Guipi Tang to ensure sufficient Middle Qi, enabling it to guide blood back into the vessels.

Patient Qian (Right): Deficiency of the Chong and Ren vessels fails to store blood. Menstrual leakage has persisted for three months, sometimes resembling metrorrhagia. There is lumbar soreness and bone pain, pale yellow tongue, fine and choppy pulse, palpitations, and dizziness. Blood loss injures Yin, making Jue Yang prone to ascending. Ancients stated: "Acute metrorrhagia requires tonification and astringency; chronic metrostaxis requires clearing and unblocking." This is because residual old stasis lingers in the Chong and Ren vessels, preventing new blood from returning to the vessels. Today, we prescribe Jiao'ai Siwu Tang to regulate the Chong and Ren vessels, dispel stasis, and generate new blood.

Patient Qian (Right): Leukorrhea with red discharge fluctuates in severity. Rectal prolapse occurs after defecation, accompanied by anal bearing-down sensation, dry constipation, and soreness/pain in the lower back and legs. The pulse is deficient and wiry. Qi deficiency fails to control blood; blood deficiency leads to rising Liver Yang. We prescribe Bu Zhong Yi Qi to regulate the Extraordinary Vessels, hoping that Qi can control blood, allowing it to return to the vessels naturally.
