Shengjin Wan (Golden Victory Pill)
Treats all types of malaria (Jue, alternating cold and heat), which occur at regular intervals. This is generally caused by external pathogenic factors invading the Zang-Fu organs, combined with internal injury to the Spleen and Stomach from raw and cold foods. Symptoms may include: chills preceding fever, or chills alone; more chills than fever, or less chills than fever; only fever without chills, or only chills without fever. It may not occur for consecutive days, occur every other day, or recur after an interval of three to five days. During chills, the limbs tremble; during fever, the whole body feels like burning fire, accompanied by headache, nausea, irritability, thirst with desire to drink, rapid breathing, bitter taste in the mouth, soreness and pain along the back and spine, borborygmus, and abdominal pain. Phlegm may accumulate in the chest, causing fullness and a desire to vomit. All these conditions are treated.
Binglang (Arecae Semen, 4 liang) Changshan (Dichroae Radix, soaked in wine, decocted, and roasted, 1 jin)
Grind the above into powder, mix with water and wheat paste to form pills the size of paulownia seeds. Take 30 pills each time. On the evening before the expected attack, just before going to bed, swallow with cold wine and go to sleep immediately. Do not eat anything.

Another method: Chuan Changshan (Dichroae Radix, 2 liang) ground into powder, mixed with the white of two chicken eggs to form pills. (Treatment indications and administration are exactly as above.)

Luxing Yin (Dew-Star Decoction)
Use only Changshan (Dichroae Radix), finely chopped. Take 5 qian per dose. Decoct with half wine and half water, strain the dregs. Cover the bowl with thin cotton gauze and expose it to the open air until dawn. Take warm after shaking slightly. Mild vomiting or diarrhea is not harmful.

Chensha Wan (Cinnabar Pill)
The suffering caused by malaria differs from other diseases. People usually treat it using substances like Changshan (Dichroae Radix) and Pishuang (Realgar/Orpiment mixture), inducing vomiting to expel phlegm-fluid. Although this may provide relief, it significantly damages the Healthy Qi (Zheng Qi). Another method
Fresh ginger (4 liang), smashed with skin, extracting only the natural juice. If an attack is expected tomorrow, prepare it the night before, cover with gauze, expose overnight.
