Loss of body fluids, stomach dry, thus difficulty passing stool. *Xindian* states: Blood deficiency sweating, sinews/collaterals lose nourishment. Wind enters increasing stiffness. This is sinew disease. Loss of Yin blood deficiency, Yang becomes Jue. Cold condenses it. Then head vertigo and vision blurred. This is spirit disease. Stomach stores body fluids, irrigates all Yang. Loss of body fluids, stomach dry, then Large Intestine loses moisture, thus difficulty passing stool. This is fluid disease. Three are different. Their loss of blood injuring fluids is consistent. Thus all are diseases possessed after birth. From this deduce: All postpartum blood deficiency syndromes can be understood mentally and spiritually.

Zhang Luyu states: Postpartum Yuanqi (Original Qi) depleted. Lochia attacks upward taking advantage of deficiency. Eye flowers, dizziness. Or chest fullness/stuffiness. Spirit confusion, mouth locked. Or phlegm-saliva abundant. Urgently use hot child urine (Tongbian) as main treatment. Or blood loss much causing fainting. Or spirit confusion, irritability. Xiong Gui Tang (Angelica and Ligusticum Decoction) add Ginseng, Lycopodium, Tongbian. Tonify and disperse simultaneously. Also,敗血 (Dead Blood) attacking upwards has three types. Or singing/dancing/talking/laughing. Or angry scolding sitting/lying down. Even climbing over walls/roofs. This is Dead Blood rushing to Heart, mostly fatal. Use Huarui Shi San (Flower Rust Stone Powder) or Hupo Heilong Dan (Succinum Black Dragon Pill). If although confused, not reaching madness. Shixiao San (Make Smile Powder) add Yujin. If full/stuffy, nausea/vomiting, abdominal fullness/pain. This is Dead Blood rushing to Stomach. Wuji San (Five Accumulations Powder) or Pingwei San add Ginger/Cinnamon. If ineffective. Send Laifudan. Vomiting/reversal, abdominal distension. Blood transforms to water. *Jingui* Xiayuxue Tang (Downward Eliminating Blood Stasis Decoction). If face red, vomiting/reversal wanting death.
