Cow's milk, walnut kernels with purple skin, raw white honey, ginger juice.
Mr. Wu: Chronic cough caused by injury due to fatigue and weakness. Blood in the collaterals is prone to stasis. Burning heat throughout the night. Proposal: Nourish Stomach Yin (Stomach Yin Deficiency).
Glehniae Radix (Beishashen), Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium (Huangpi), Stir-fried Ophiopogonis Radix (Maodong), Raw Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (Gaicao), Stir-fried Coicis Semen (Jingmi), Jujubae Fructus (Nanzao).
A certain patient: Pharyngeal obstruction (Houbi) with coughing and wheezing. Pulse is large and long on the right side.
Raw Dolichos Lablab Seed (Bian Dou), Ophiopogonis Radix (Maodong), Glehniae Radix (Beishashen), Dendrobii Caulis (Chuhu), Sugarcane Juice (Qingshujiang).
Mr. Mao: Illness sustained in summer and autumn last year, failing to recover in winter. In spring, when earth qi and yang rise, cold and heat coughs occur. This is due to a yin-deficient constitution unable to tolerate rising and dispersing.
To merely attribute it to wind injury is to ignore the principles of yin and yang.
Glehniae Radix (Beishashen), Stir-fried Ophiopogonis Radix (Maodong), Honey-fried Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (Zhigancao), White Coicis Semen (Baijingmi), Jujubae Fructus (Nanzao).
A certain patient (26 years old): Coughing and wheezing after illness. Should clear and nourish Lung and Stomach Yin.
Raw Dolichos Lablab Seed (Bian Dou), Ophiopogonis Radix (Maodong), Polygonati Odorati Rhizoma (Yuzhu), Stir-fried Yellow Fritillaria Bulb (Chuanbei), Dendrobii Caulis (Chuhu), decocted with White Coicis Semen Decoction (Baijingmitang).
Mr. Xu (27 years old): Aversion to cold and wind, decreased appetite, chronic cough. Wei Qi (Defensive Qi) is weak, internally corresponding to the Stomach, Yang pulse is ineffective. Medication should not bias towards treating cold or heat; regulate with sweet medicines. Follow Zhang Zhongjing's method of Maidong Tang.
Mr. Zhang (17 years old): Cough eased entering summer, mental fatigue, decreased appetite, thirst for drinking. Warm pathogen lingering for a long time has injured fluids. Sudden warmth in summer dissipates qi, secretly depleting Stomach juices, causing bones and sinews to lose tension, resulting in soreness and pain in both feet. Method: Sweet and mild, benefit Stomach Yin. Imitate the preparation of Maidong Tang from *Jinkui Yaolue* as a paste.
Ginseng Rootlet (Renshenxu, 2 liang), Glehniae Radix (Beishashen, 1 liang), Raw Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (Shenggaicao, 5 qian), Raw Dolichos Lablab Seed (Shengbian dou, 2 liang), Ophiopogonis Radix (Maidong, 2 liang), Jujubae Fructus (Nanzao, 2 liang).
Boil into paste.
Mr. Tang (24 years old): Left pulse is firm, rapid, and intermittent. Winter-warmth cough, indicating water deficiency with rising heat. Treatment was inappropriate, injuring Stomach Yin. Turbid foul odors rise directly to the throat. Even clearing Lung to hope for easing cough leads to qi leakage, yet cough persists. First propose sweet-cool to benefit Stomach Yin to control Dragon Fire (Ministerial Fire). Once Stomach Yin stands firm, discuss tonifying the lower jiao.
Raw Dolichos Lablab Seed (Bian Dou), Rice-stir-fried Ophiopogonis Radix (Maidong), Glehniae Radix (Beishashen), Raw Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (Shenggaicao), Mori Folium (Dongsangye), Sugarcane Juice Water (Qingshujiangshui).
Ms. Qian: Right pulse is rapid. Cough for two months, dry throat, hot nasal breath, worse morning and evening. This is failure of descending on the right, deficiency of Stomach fluids, Jue Yang disturbing.
*Maidong Tang* from *Jinkui Yaolue*, remove Banxia, add Beishashen.
A certain patient (14 years old): Cough, worse in morning, belongs to Stomach deficiency.
Raw Dolichos Lablab Seed (Bian Dou), Stir-fried Ophiopogonis Radix (Maidong), Large Glehniae Radix (Dashashen), Coicis Semen (Yiren), Tangerine Peel (Juhong).
Mr. Chen: Body wasting day by day in autumn and winter, cough with expectoration. Pulse at both Cun positions is rapid and hurried. Bowels move but not smoothly. This is an older person whose labor disturbs Yang, failing to follow the Heaven and Earth's storing command, leading to daily consumption. It is a deficiency syndrome. Due to poor intake and Stomach decline, heavy cloying tonics are not suitable. Propose using sweet flavor to nourish Stomach Yin. *Maidong Tang* from *Jinkui Yaolue*.
Mr. Qian: Chronic cough for three years, excessive phlegm, poor appetite, movement causes panting sounds like asthma. Left pulse beats rapidly, right pulse is small and slightly rapid. Self-feeling of internal fire blazing. This is depletion of the Five Fluids, insufficient Yang to restrain. Not excess fire. Often use Qiongyu Gao to nourish water and benefit qi. Temporarily use decoction. Overall, do not damage the Stomach is paramount. Lung herbs for treating cough are unlikely to benefit the body's disease.
Glehniae Radix (Beishashen), White Dolichos Lablab Seed (Bai Bian Dou), Stir-fried Ophiopogonis Radix (Maidong), Poria (Fushen), Dendrobii Caulis (Chuhu), Trichosanthis Radix (Huafen).
Ms. Fan: Both Cun pulses are large, severe cough, epigastric fullness, head distension, blocked nose and ears. This is Shaoyang depressed heat, reversing upward to invade Lung, Lung dryness with itchy throat. First plan to resolve Wood-Fire depression (Gallbladder Fire invading Lung).
Antelope Horn (Lingyangjiao), Forsythiae Fructum (Lianqiao), Gardeniae Pericarpium (Zhipi), Mint Stem (Boheteng), Bitter Tea Leaf (Kudingcha), Apricot Seed (Xingren), Benincasae Exocarpium (Loupi), Chrysanthemi Folium (Juhua Ye).
Mrs. Lu: Small pulse, chronic cough, cold back, hot bones, hungry but no desire to eat, aversion to food odors. This is worry and depression, all belonging to internal damage. Reviewed prescriptions, all used cold-clearing to treat Lung without effect. Propose benefiting Earth and draining Wood method (Depressed Fire damaging Stomach).
Honey-fried Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (Zhigancao), Poria (Fushen), Mori Folium (Dongsangye), Stir-fried Moutan Cortex (Danpi), Stir-fried Paeoniae Radix Alba (Baishao), Jujubae Fructus (Nanzao).
Ms. You: Widowed and overworked, right pulse beats left and is choppy, dry qi above, blood secretly depleted. Caused by thought and depression leading to vexation and frying of the Five Zangs. Certainly not a syndrome for warm-heat tonification or astringency. Morning cough with saliva discharge, tentatively treat from Stomach, as the Blood Sea also belongs to Yangming.
Raw White Dolichos Lablab Seed (Bai Bian Dou), Polygonati Odorati Rhizoma (Yuzhu), Large Glehniae Radix (Dashashen), Poria (Fushen), Frost-fallen Mori Folium (Jingshuang Sangye), Coicis Semen (Yiren).
Use half sheng of white glutinous rice, wash clean, soak in boiling water for one boil, take clear soup to decoct medicine.
Again: Root deficiency below, mood depression causes Yang of the Five Zangs to smoke upward causing cough, certainly not excess fire. But long-term depression must lead to qi knotting and blood drying, extending into Dry Blood Consumption Disease. Menstrual flow is scanty and delayed, already clear evidence. Should tonify Liver and Kidney Yin to treat root, clear and nourish Lung and Stomach Qi-Heat to treat branch. Hot-tonifying drugs are feared for robbing Yin, this is not the correct method.
Raw Dolichos Lablab Seed (1 liang), Glehniae Radix (3 qian), Poria (3 qian), Honey-fried Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (5 fen), Jujubae Flesh (3 qian).
(Pill Formula) Prepared Rehmanniae Radix (stir-fried with Amomi Fructus powder, 4 liang), Cornus Officinalis Antler Frost (separately ground, 1 liang), Angelicae Sinensis Radix (stir-fried with Foeniculum Vulgare Fruit, 2 liang), Achyranthes Bidentatae Radix (salt-water stir-fried to charcoal, 2 liang), Cloud Poria (2 liang), Purple Quartz (vinegar calcined and water-ground, 1 liang), Green Salt (5 qian).
Separately boil fresh mutton glue to form pills. Take 4 qian in morning, send down with boiled water.
Mr. Zhang (25 years old): Self-administered Bawei Deer Antler Glue for warming tonification, instead resulted in cough with expectoration, emaciation, and decreased appetite. All harms of one-sidedness. Should clear Ying-Heat, avoid bitter-cold. (Ying Heat)
Fresh Rehmanniae Radix (Xianshengdi), Ophiopogonis Radix (Maidong), Scrophulariae Radix Heart (Yuanshenxin), Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (Gancao), Bitter Lily Bulb (Kubaihe), Bamboo Leaf Heart (Zhuyexin).
A certain patient (27 years old): Rapid pulse, Chong Qi rebellious cough. Should use grasping and anchoring Kidney Yin, nourishing and softening Metal, a method of treating Metal and Water together. (Consumptive Cough)
Prepared Rehmanniae Radix (4 qian), White Dolichos Lablab Seed (5 qian), Glehniae Radix (3 qian), Ophiopogonis Radix (2 qian), Dendrobii Caulis (3 qian), Poria (3 qian).
Mr. Wang (38 years old): Left Chi pulse is firm. Chronic cough with loss of voice, hemoptysis in summer, severe cough at dawn, decreased food intake. This is a consumptive syndrome, urgently requires rest.
Ophiopogonis Radix (Maidong), Large Glehniae Radix (Dashashen), Polygonati Odorati Rhizoma (Yuzhu), Dendrobii Caulis (Chuhu), Raw White Dolichos Lablab Seed (Sheng Bai Bian Dou), Egg White (Jizi Bai).
A certain patient: Chronic cough, sore throat, cold sensation in evening. Although belonging to Yin deficiency, with flaccid body and fine pulse, heavy tonification is not appropriate.
Ophiopogonis Radix (Maidong), Nan Sha Shen, Dendrobii Caulis (Chuhu), Raw Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (Sheng Gancao), Glutinous Rice Root Tassel (Nuodaogen Xu).
A certain patient: Shortness of breath, frequent cough with urge to vomit, fire rising in afternoon. This is dry-heat above, Yin deficiency below.
Morning: Duqi Wan, Evening: Weixi Wan.
Mr. Zhang: This spring epidemic, most had cough and throat ailments. Pathogen attacks from above, Lung Qi is injured first. Recently, movement causes panting, voice gradually becomes hoarse, sleeping on left side, pulling sensation on left hypochondrium. This is Liver-Kidney Yin deficiency, Chong Qi touching upward, failure of Winter storage, gradually leading to lateral sleeping and hoarseness. Injury from overwork causing damage, not a disease for clearing pathogen and treating cough.
Liujun Wan plus Yang Qiu Shi, Ejiao, Maidong, honey pills.
Mr. Gu: True Yin is not flourishing, Pre- and Post-Heaven both deficient. Mainly fill essence and solidify lower. If clearing heat to hope for treating cough, Stomach will be damaged and food intake reduced.
Prepared Rehmanniae Radix (Shudi), Corni Fructus (Yurou), Dioscoreae Rhizoma (Shanyao), Poria (Fuling), Nelumbinis Semen (Hulian), Euryales Semen (Qianshi), Schisandrae Fructus (Wuweizi), Human Milk Powder (Renru Fen), Rosa Laevigata Fruit Paste Pill (Jinyingao Wan).
Mr. Tang (33 years old): Left pulse weak, right pulse beats. Long-standing deficiency, not recovering in spring. Lying on pillow causes Qi rushing and severe cough, even walking causes shortness of breath and panting. This is thin root of Lower Yuan, insecure Winter storage, shallow Spring rising Sheng Qi. Urgently need to secure and grasp lower. Secular people often use acrid-cool to manage cough, often leading to non-rescue.
Water-processed Prepared Rehmanniae Radix (Shudi), Schisandrae Fructus (Wuweizi), Nelumbinis Semen (Hulian), Euryales Semen (Qianshi), Poria (Fushen), Green Salt (Qingyan), Sheep Inner Kidney (Yang Neishen).
A certain patient (27 years old): Qi rushing rebellious cough, head distension upon movement, spontaneous sweating below. Duqi Wan.
Mr. Le (29 years old): Febrile disease recurring twice or thrice, True Yin must be injured. At Xu-Hai hours, fainting and sweating occur, this is floating deficient Yang, insecure Liver-Kidney roots, Chong Mai vibration, causing all pulses to reverse, Yang leaking as sweat. This cough is due to Lower Yin not ascending, not a Lung disease. Urgently need to gather and secure. Reviewed doctors' Su Zi and Gouteng, all are sharp-draining drugs. Applied to Yin-Yang dual deficiency body, requires careful consideration. Duqi plus Lead (Qingqian).
Mr. Zhu (53 years old): Inhaling sound, panting upon movement. This cough is Kidney deficiency failing to grasp Qi. Cold sensation and fear of cold, weak protective Yang. Shenqi Wan is quite suitable. For insufficient form and Qi, add Ginseng and Placenta Hominis (Heche).
Mr. Wang (50 years old): Shortness of breath and rebellious cough, cold feet. Should use grasping and anchoring, Water hiding Fire method. Xue's Modified Bawei Wan 3 qian, send down with light salt water.
Mr. Guo (28 years old): Emaciated, pulse sinking to Chi position, chronic cough with vomiting and rebellion, not healing for half a year. This is Kidney deficiency with Jue Qi attacking upward. Many medicines clearing cold and treating Lung have misled people significantly.
Kan Renru Fen, Gouqizi, Wuweizi, Huetaorou, Fushen, Bajirou, Yurou, Shanyao paste pill.
A certain patient (62 years old): Winter cough with expectoration, gradually worsening to Qi rushing when lying, panting requiring sitting up, now for three years. Classics state Lung and Kidney are facing organs; Lung governs exhalation, Kidney governs inhalation. Elderly suffering this, right pulse wiry, left pulse deep, indicates Kidney Qi failing to grasp, main treatment. Do not fear acrid-hot due to hemorrhoids. Shenqi Wan remove Niuxi and Rougui, add Chenxiang, honey pills.
Mr. Zhang (30 years old): Winter panting and cough, seems external cause. Repeated surface-dispersing instead caused loss of voice, unable to lie on pillow. Now at Xu-Hai hours, turbid Yin attacks upward causing severe panting and Qi rebellion. Still propose guiding and grasping Qi returning to Kidney.
Liujun plus Fuzi, Cheqian, Buguzhi, Hu Tao, Chenxiang.
Mr. Zhu: Consumptive fatigue, decreased food, loose stools. No longer method for clearing Lung and treating cough. Must make Stomach appetite robust, hoping for prolonged survival. This is not a disease effective by medication alone.
Ginseng (soaked in Qiu Shi soup, mixed and baked), Poria (Fushen), Dioscoreae Rhizoma (Shanyao), Jianlian, Euryales Semen (Qianshi), Coicis Semen (Yiren), Terminalia Chebula Reticulata (Hezipi).
Decoct Nuodaogen Xu soup to decoct medicine.
Mr. Shen (19 years old): Consumptive cough, decreased food, loose stools, sweating. Yin damage has reached Yang Fu. Middle should support Stomach, lower should solidify Kidney Yin as treatment. Strictly avoid clearing Lung with cold-cool, hoping to treat cough.
Prepared Rehmanniae Radix (Shudi), Prepared Atractylodes Macrocephala Rhizoma (Shuzhu), Schisandrae Fructus (Wuweizi), Euryales Semen (Qianshi), Nelumbinis Semen (Hulian), Dioscoreae Rhizoma (Shanyao).
A certain patient: Weak Qi, chronic cough with much phlegm, worse before noon.
Morning: Duqi Wan 3 qian, Noon: Yigong San.
A certain patient: Chronic cough, damaging Central Earth, Spleen loses transportation and transformation, decreased food, mental fatigue, Lung lacks nourishment, cough continues. Pulse both hands wiry, fine, rapid. Essence and Qi internally damaged. Cannot use ordinary cough-clearing and phlegm-reducing methods.
Prepared Rehmanniae Radix (Shudi), Ejiao, Bird's Nest (Yanwo), Sea Cucumber (Haishen), Asparagi Radix (Tian Dong), Poria (Fuling), Purple Quartz (Zishi Qing), Walnut Kernels with Purple Skin (Ziyi Hutao Rou).

Mr. Zhou (48 years old): Pulse void and hollow, appearance wasted. Long-standing ulcer, Yin not securing. Management and labor re-injure Yang. Winter guest pathogen causes cough, all due to original body first being deficient. Entering deep spring and summer, Heaven and Earth Qi dissipates, body has no storage, daily worsening, logic naturally so. How can this be treated by cough or blood methods? Propose tonifying Three Yin Zang Yin method.
Ginseng (mixed with Qiu Shi soup), Prepared Rehmanniae Radix (Shudi), Ophiopogonis Radix (Maidong), Dolichos Lablab Seed (Biandou), Poria (Fushen), White Coicis Semen (Bai Jingmi).

Mr. Ding (63 years old): Autumn season, Heaven Qi descends, Upper Jiao first receives dry transformation, many cough cases. Repeatedly advancing Lung herbs without effect. According to classics, if chronic cough does not cease, Three Jiao receives it, indicating not solely managing Lung. Sixty-three years old, though form is full, True Qi gradually declines. Ancients for elderly chronic cough, all treat from Spleen-Kidney mother-son generation. Also, long cough leads to Qi dispersion, must also benefit Qi, sweet tonification and gathering, truly correct principle. Here propose grasping Lower Jiao in morning, pure sweet and clearing dryness in evening, filling reality below, clearing肃 above. Avoid bitter and acrid flavors to prevent damaging Stomach and leaking Qi. (Kidney Yin and Stomach Yin Dual Deficiency)
Morning: Water-processed Prepared Rehmanniae Radix (8 liang), White Cloud Poria (steamed with milk, 4 liang), Schisandrae Fructus (pitted, steamed and baked, 3 liang), Jianlian (de-heartened, 3 liang), Dioscoreae Rhizoma (steamed with milk, 4 liang), Plantaginis Semen (Cheqianzi, 3 liang), Achyranthes Bidentatae Radix (salt-water mixed, steamed and baked, 3 liang), Walnut Kernel Frost (with purple skin ground, 3 liang).

Mr. Xu (48 years old): Withered complexion, soggy pulse, palpitations, choking phlegm and rebellious cough. Mental labor, Qi exhausted, Yang deficient. Middle age approaching decline, illness adds. Treatment method: Manage Stomach in Middle Palace, solidify Kidney True below. Ensure increased food intake for peace. Detailed treatment is not suitable. Decoction use Banxia Da Banxia Tang. Morning: Fu Duqi Wan. (Middle Qi Deficiency)
A certain patient: Pale color, soft muscle, insufficient Qi division. Wind-Warmth attacked from above causing cough. Disease is light and superficial. However, Qiangfang acrid-warm, Gaozhi heavy-cold, drug weight exceeds disease location. Yang damaged causes back cold, Stomach damaged reduces food, illness remains, body first exhausted. Whose fault? Xiaojianzhong Tang.
Again: Bitter-acid draining Lung damages Stomach, advancing Jianzhong brings peace. Follow *Neijing* "Acrid moves Qi, use Sweet to ease urgency". However, Wind-Warmth guest Qi all transforms into Fire. Thus clear and nourish Stomach Yin, allowing fluids to supply above, then dry-itchy cough eases naturally. Earth prosperous generates Metal, deficiency supplements mother, ancients said so. *Jinkui Maidong Tang*.
Mr. Wang: Random medication mixed, Stomach appetite first damaged, already decreased food and loose stools. Where is leisure to repeatedly treat cough? Urgently care for body. Chronic illness should regulate sleep and diet. Yigong remove Baizhu, add Stir-fried Baishao and Stir-fried Shanyao.
Mr. Gao: Sweet medicine effective, not treating cough but cough reduces. Disease root not above. Abdominal borborygmus, sudden loose stool. Yang within Yin damaged.
Ginseng (Renshen), Winter Atractylodes Macrocephala Rhizoma (Dong Baizhu), Cloud Poria (Yun Fuling), Honey-fried Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (Zhigancao), Stir-fried Paeoniae Radix Alba (Chaobaishao), Jujubae Fructus (Nanzao).
Mr. Xu (26 years old): Consumptive cough, effective with Jianzhong method. This is injury to Formless Qi. Thus Qi-benefiting drugs, Qi mellow and taste sweet, Middle Earth peaceful, Metal benefits. However, must eat grain and increase meals to resist Long Summer damp-heat steaming, preventing True Qi leakage and recurrence. Yigong add Dang Gui, Jiang, Zao.
A certain patient: Internal damage deficiency syndrome, not recovering for years, appearance wasted, fear of wind and cold, Ying and Wei Qi lacking. Food intake refuses to fatten muscles. Method should create and establish Middle Palace. Strictly avoid clearing cold and managing Lung, hoping to stop cough. Cough cannot stop, must lead to Stomach failure, decreased food, worsening. Huangqi Jianzhong Tang remove Ginger.
Mr. Chen (27 years old): Fine and hurried pulse, chronic cough with cold and heat, body pain, sweating. From Essence damage reaching Stomach. Huangqi Jianzhong Tang remove Ginger.
Mr. Xu (27 years old): Chronic cough not ceasing, Three Jiao receives it. One year illness, cough with shortness of breath, pulse void and rapid. Not external cold binding Lung, nor internal heat forcing Lung panting. Weakness unable to stand alone, short Qi and little Qi, all Qi mechanism not continuous. Since it is deficiency syndrome, deficiency supplements its mother. Huangqi Jianzhong Tang.
Mr. Li (34 years old): Chronic cough for years, cold back, cold feet, much sweating, pale color, severe cough unable to lie down. This is Yang微弱 and Wei thin, external pathogen easily touches, turbid Yin carrying fluid attacks upward. Propose harmonizing Ying and Wei, simultaneously protecting Yang. Huangqi Jianzhong Tang remove Yitang, add Fuzi and Fuling.
Mr. Ren (56 years old): Labor injury Yang, illness worsens from spring to summer, vexed fatigue, mental emaciation, no desire to eat. How can cough medicine cure? *Neijing* has instruction "Tonify those who are labored", Dongyuan has formula "Sweet-warm benefit Qi", worthy as fixed method. Guiqi Jianzhong Tang.
Mr. Zhang (29 years old): Academy study reading, moving heart consumes Qi.凡 Heart Ying and Lung Wei injured, upper disease extends to middle, must gradually decrease food. Contemporary treating cough, all scatter pathogen and clear heat, none are internal damage main treatment methods. Huangqi Jianzhong Tang remove Ginger.
Mr. Lv: Left pulse fine, right pulse empty and beating. Chronic cough, short inhalation like panting, muscle heat, daily emaciation. Internal damage timidity syndrome. But food intake already low, stool also loose. Cold-cool and moistening cannot treat cough, only injure Spleen and hinder Stomach. Ancient Yue Ren said upper damage passing Spleen, lower damage reaching Stomach, all belong to difficult-to-treat examples. Self-claims back cold suddenly hot, moreover manage Heart Ying and Lung Wei. Zhongjing said "Original Qi damaged, sweet medicine regulates". Twenty days propose Jianzhong method. Huangqi Jianzhong remove Ginger.
Mr. Ma: Consumption pulse wiry, chronic cough, decreased food. Xiaojianzhong remove Ginger.
Mr. Zheng (27 years old): Pulse weak, chronic cough, emaciated, decreased food, sweating, short inhalation. Long deficiency not recovering called consumption. Follow *Neijing* "Form insufficient, warm-nourish its Qi". Huangqi Jianzhong Tang remove Ginger, add Renshen and Wuweizi.
A certain patient (24 years old): Wiry pulse, right large, chronic cough, back cold, nocturnal sweating. Xiaojianzhong remove Ginger, add Fushen.
Mr. Zhu (39 years old): Five years cough, worse with cold wind. Muscle surface Wei Yang sparse. Propose solid agent to ease urgency. Huangqi Jianzhong Tang.
Mr. Wu (36 years old): Labor fatigue, cough with wind. This is Wei Yang damaged. Should harmonize meridian Qi, do not use blood-breaking attacking drugs. Danggui Guizhi Tang combined with Yupingfeng San.
A certain patient: Chronic cough, mental decline, flesh wasting, due to labor internal injury. Doctor administered bitter-cold sinking, causing Qi leakage, profuse sweating, fluid consumption, night heat, Stomach appetite damaged, food suddenly reduced. Huangjian remove Ginger.
A certain patient: Spleen-Stomach pulse section uniquely large, less food intake, no desire to drink water, much phlegm, frequent cough. Earth declining fails to generate Metal Qi. Jianzhong remove Yitang, add Fushen, connect with Sijunzi Tang.
A certain patient: Wind-Warmth cough, much labor, Qi division not full. Wuji Tang.
Ginseng (Renshen), Poria (Fuling), Atractylodes Macrocephala Rhizoma (Yuzhu), Honey-fried Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (Zhigancao), Tangerine Peel (Guangpi), Stir-fried Paeoniae Radix Alba (Chaobaishao).
A certain patient: Consumptive cough, likes acrid-warm things. Yigong add Roasted Ginger and Nanzao.
Mrs. Wu: Illness gone five or six parts, should regulate sleep and diet before medicine. This is usual constitution, cannot not discuss. Always food intake scarce, bowel movement once every three days. Stomach Qi thinnest, cloying thick-flavored drugs cautious discussion. Long illness, Post-Heaven Spleen-Stomach is key. Cough long is not guest syndrome. Treating Spleen-Stomach, Earth prosperous generates Metal, no need to exhaustively investigate cough.
Ginseng (Renshen), Fresh Lotus Seed (Xian Lianzi), Xinhui Peel (Xinhui Pi), Poria (Fushen), Stir-fried Ophiopogonis Radix (Chaomaidong), Raw Sprouted Grain (Sheng Guya).
A certain patient: Void pulse, chronic cough, decreased food. Sijunzi add Nanzao.
Mr. Wang: Initial cough unable to lie down, now left-side sleeping cough severe, no thirst desire to drink, whole body sweating. This accumulated labor internal injury, Wood counter-attacks Metal. No hunger, no intake, cloying hard to administer. Only cultivate Middle Earth, control Wood generate Metal, conforming to internal injury treatment method. (Labor Fatigue Yang Deficiency)
