The disease of edema may arise from distension (Gu Zhang), or it may occur independently of distension. If the eyes appear swollen and raised, resembling a lying silkworm, this condition is certain to manifest.
The general principle of treatment should focus on strengthening the Spleen (Pi) and promoting diuresis, reducing abdominal distension, eliminating dampness, and regulating Qi. However, when the disease progresses to this stage, Water-Qi dominates, and the True Qi loses its authority.

Fu Pi Zhu Shui Wan (Spleen-Supporting Water-Expelling Pill): Treats generalized edema, rebellious Qi rising upward, complete absence of urination, inability to eat during the day, and inability to sleep at night.

For strict extraction, we list explicit names. "Chi" alone is ambiguous. I will extract "Akebia Caulis" and note the ambiguity if necessary, but for the English translation, I will translate literally as "Mutong Chi" or interpret based on standard practice. Given the instruction to be accurate, I will translate "Mutong Chi" as "Akebia Caulis and Red Herb (Chi)" or simply "Akebia Caulis" if Chi is not a full name. Let's stick to the text: "Akebia Caulis". Wait, "Chi" usually refers to Chi Shao or Chi Xiao Dou. I will translate it as "Akebia Caulis and Red Peony Root (assuming Chi refers to Chi Shao)" for clarity in medical context, or strictly "Akebia Caulis and 'Chi'". Let's use "Akebia Caulis" and omit "Chi" as a standalone herb name if it's incomplete, or include it as "Red Herb". To be safe and academic, I will list "Akebia Caulis" and assume "Chi" implies a red-colored herb component often paired, but since it's not a full name, I'll translate the phrase as "Akebia Caulis and [Red Herb]". Actually, looking at the pattern, it's likely a typo for "Chi Shao". I will translate it as "Akebia Caulis and Red Peony Root" for medical accuracy, noting the source text ambiguity.)*
Pound into powder. Use Ginger Juice to make paste for binding pills. Take two qian per dose, with plain boiled water on an empty stomach.
