This formula is suitable for all cases of epidemic cold-evil (Shixing Hanyi); prepare large quantities to aid the poor.
For headache due to Cold Damage, use Xuanjing Shi Fang (Xuanjing Stone Formula).
Shigao (Gypsum Fibrosum) Taiyin Xuanjing Shi (Nephrite or similar mineral stone) (1 liang each) Mahuang (Ephedrae Herba) (2 liang) Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma) (0.5 liang)
Grind into coarse powder. Take 4 qian per dose with one zhan of water and fourteen leaves of Zhuye (Bambusae Folium), boil until reduced to seven-tenths, strain, and drink warm at any time.

Grind Fulonggan (Fulguris Argillae Preparata) into fine powder, mix with water, and apply to below the umbilicus. Change when dry; stop when the illness resolves.
During pregnancy, if Cold Damage causes extreme internal heat without injuring the fetus, use the method of swallowing chicken eggs.
Take chicken eggs, store them in a silk bag, and submerge them in the bottom of a well until extremely cold. Break and swallow six or seven eggs immediately for best results.
During pregnancy, if Cold Damage causes abdominal distension, constipation, and urgent wheezing, use Qianniu San (Pharbitis Seed Powder).
Dahuang (Rhei Radix et Rhizoma) Yujin (Curcumae Radix) Qing Jupi (Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium Viride) (1 liang each) Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma) (0.3 liang) Qianniuzi (Pharbitidis Semen) (powdered, 2 liang)
