Cough with rebellious Qi, sore throat, and hoarseness, with a tight and rapid pulse, indicate deficiency of the Lung and depletion of Liver Yin fluids; this is quite difficult to treat.
Chuan Lianlian (Coptidis Rhizoma), Pipa Ye (Loquat Leaf), Ju Bai (Tangerine Albedo), Ren Zhong Bai (Calculus Bovis or similar antler ash depending on context, here likely referring to processed mineral/herbal mix), Zhi Mu (Anemarrhenae Rhizoma), Chen E Jiao (Aged Donkey-Hide Gelatin), Zi Wan (Asteris Radix), Mai Dong (Ophiopogonis Tuber), Sheng Yi Yi Ren (Coicis Semen raw), Ji Zi Huang (Egg Yolk, taken raw and mixed).
Kidney Water fails to control Fire, inevitably leading to Fire insulting Metal [Lung]; when Yin essence cannot transform into Qi, it inevitably leads to coughing disease characterized by dryness. Hence, there is rebellious cough and hoarseness, and the pulse beats without spirit. This is a manifestation of Liver Qi stagnation, Kidney Water deficiency, and deflection of deficient Fire upward.
I propose using the Nourishing and Grasping Method (Zi Na Fa) to observe the dynamic changes of the condition.
Qing Yan Chao Shu Di (Rehmanniae Radix prepared with green salt), Mu Li (Ostreae Concha), Chuan Bei (Fritillariae Cirrhosae Bulbus), Chuan Yu Jin (Curcumae Radix), Yun Fu Shen (Poria with Hostwood), Yan Shui Chao Guang Pi (Chenpi prepared with salt water), Huai Xi (Achyranthis Bidentatae Radix), Gui Ban (Testudinis Carapax et Plastrum), Chuan Bai He (Lilii Bulbus), Ji Zi Huang (Egg Yolk).
The pathogenic factor has not yet been vented and released; hoarseness and sore throat, having existed for a short time, pose no major harm.

Follow-up prescription:

Coughing with urgency and hoarseness indicates Middle Jiao deficiency, where Wood-Fire scorches Metal [Lung].

Coughing up froth and hoarseness indicate Middle Jiao deficiency and unclear Lung Qi; light agents should be used to disperse and regulate.
Xuan Fu Hua (Inulae Flos), Sheng Mi Ren (Coicis Semen raw), Pipa Ye (Loquat Leaf), Dong Gua Zi (Benincasae Semen), Zhi Mu (Anemarrhenae Rhizoma), Zi Wan Rong (Asteris Radix fluffy part), Chao Su Zi (Perillae Fructus fried), Ma Dou Ling (Aristolochiae Fructus), Dong Sang Ye (Mulberry Leaf in winter), Ju Hong (Tangerine Peel red layer).
Rebellious cough and hoarseness seem to belong to Yin deficiency and stirring of Fire; however, the pulse does not show deficiency-heat characteristics, indicating that accumulated pathogens have not been thoroughly cleared. Light and harmonizing agents should be used for regulation.
Xian Shi Hu (Dendrobii Caulis fresh), Sheng Ge Qiao (Tridacnidae Concha raw), Mai Dong (Ophiopogonis Tuber), Ju Hong (Tangerine Peel red layer), Chuan Yu Jin Zhi (Curcumae Radix juice), Zi Wan Rong (Asteris Radix fluffy part), Tian Xing Ren (Armeniacae Semen Amarum sweet), Chuan Bei (Fritillariae Cirrhosae Bulbus), Dou Ling (Aristolochiae Fructus), Xian Pipa Ye (Loquat Leaf fresh).
Distending pain and numbness in the upper diaphragm and arms, with wiry and rapid pulses in all six positions, and restlessness in sitting and lying down, indicate Warm Pathogens invading the collaterals. There is fear of Lung Qi flaccidity and injury; the Clearing and Unblocking Method must be used (recently slight phlegm-wheezing occurred).
Xuan Fu Hua (Inulae Flos), Ling Yang Jiao (Saiga Tataricae Cornu), Fa Ban Xia (Pinelliae Rhizoma prepared), Dang Gui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix), Bai Ji Li (Tribuli Fructus), Ju Ye (Citri Reticulatae Folium), Dai Zhe Shi (Haematitum), Chuan Yu Jin (Curcumae Radix), Chao Su Zi (Perillae Fructus fried), Qin Jiao (Gentiana Macrophyllae Radix), Sheng Mi Ren (Coicis Semen raw), Sang Zhi (Mori Ramulus).
Collateral blockage prevents Qi flow, causing bi-syndrome with high swelling in the right chest and hypochondrium; the Right Cun and Guan pulses are large. There is fear of Lung Qi flaccidity and injury. I propose using an Unblocking Collaterals and Resolving Phlegm method assisted by Qi-regulating agents to seek relief (phlegm is black with a fishy smell, accompanied by slight cough).
Xuan Fu Hua (Inulae Flos), Pipa Ye (Loquat Leaf), Niu Xi Tan (Achyranthis Bidentatae Radix charred), Dang Gui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix), Gou Gou (Uncariae Ramulus cum Uncis), Sang Zhi (Mori Ramulus), Chao Su Zi (Perillae Fructus fried), Ban Xia Qu (Pinelliae Rhizoma fermented), Wa Leng Zi (Unio Concha), Ju Ye (Citri Reticulatae Folium), Yu Jin (Curcumae Radix).
Coughing with urgency, expelling foul bloody sputum, with a wiry and rapid Right pulse, results from Qi stagnation damaging collaterals and Metal [Lung] being insulted. The Winter Solstice is approaching; one must maintain a broad-minded state for regulation.

When suffering from malaria, failure to address the exterior led to unventilated Lung Qi, bladder flaccidity, hemoptysis, prolonged non-healing, spontaneous sweating due to exterior deficiency, and a bright, pale complexion. The syndrome belongs to Fei Wei (Lung Flaccidity); cool agents should not be overused (phlegm is fishy-smelling, massive blood loss).
Sheng Pipa Ye (Loquat Leaf raw), Ju Hong (Tangerine Peel red layer), Ge Fen Chao E Jiao (Donkey-Hide Gelatin fried with clam powder), Ou Zhi (Nelumbinis Rhizoma juice), Mi Ren (Coicis Semen), Huai Niu Xi (Achyranthis Bidentatae Radix), Qian Cao (Rubiae Cordifoliae Radix et Rhizoma), Chuan Bai He (Lilii Bulbus), Dong Gua Zi (Benincasae Semen).
Swallowing obstruction with regurgitation, phlegm-wheezing triggering bleeding, indicates Liver Qi stagnation insulting Metal [Lung] and Lung Qi flaccidity and injury. Fear that the illness will worsen during the peak of summer; caution is essential.
Chen E Jiao (Aged Donkey-Hide Gelatin), Tian Xing Ren (Armeniacae Semen Amarum sweet), Mai Dong (Ophiopogonis Tuber), Dong Sang Ye (Mulberry Leaf in winter), Dong Gua Zi (Benincasae Semen), Mao Gen (Imperatae Rhizoma), Sheng Mi Ren (Coicis Semen raw), Chuan Bei Mu (Fritillariae Cirrhosae Bulbus), Ju Hong (Tangerine Peel red layer), Sheng Ge Qiao (Tridacnidae Concha raw), Pipa Ye (Loquat Leaf).
Lung Qi has always been deficient, and now Warm Pathogens have been contracted. Body heat and hemoptysis indicate damage to Lung collaterals. Hence, the expectorated phlegm is sticky and tenacious, and the six pulses are rapid and large. Although Zheng Qi (Upright Qi) is deficient, warm-toning methods are inappropriate.
