Siwu Jia Gui Tang (Four Substances Decoction with Cinnamon Twig): Treats sudden onset of alternating chills and fever.
Chuanxiong Rhizoma (Chuanxiong), Danggui Radix (Danggui) [washed, dried], Shaoyao Radix Alba (Shaoyao), Dihuang Radix Preparata (Dihuang) [dried], Guixin Cortex Cinnamomi (Guixin) [equal parts].
Grind the above ingredients into a powder. Take 5 qian per dose, add 2 zhan of water, decoct until 1 zhan remains, remove dregs, and take warm. In Shi Zaizhi's *Zhinan Fang*, this formula does not contain Chuanxiong.
Tingli Wan (Descurainia Seed Pill): Treats initial difficulty in urination followed by edema of the body and face, leading to amenorrhea. This is because water pathogen invades the blood level, termed "Shuifen" (Water Disease).
Tian Tingli Fructus Descurainiae (Tian Tingli) [stir-fried], Suisui Zhu Semen Euphorbiae Lathyridis (Suisui Zhu) [peeled, ground, each 0.5 liang], Gan Sun Dried Bamboo Shoots (Gan Sun) [1 liang].
Grind the above ingredients into fine powder, mix with cooked jujube flesh to form pills the size of Sophora seeds. Administer 7 pills with decoction of Bianzhu (Bamboo leaves). If bowel movements are unobstructed, reduce Tian Tingli and Suisui Zhu by 1 fen each, add Baizhu Atractodis Rhizoma (Baizhu) 0.5 liang, and take after meals.
Mudan Wan (Tree Peony Bark Pill): Treats irregular menstruation that starts and stops, or dripping continuously, with intermittent abdominal pain and a deep, choppy pulse. This is caused by cold-heat pathogens lodging in the uterus, remaining and causing blood stasis; healing requires the removal of stasis.
Dahuang Radix et Rhizoma Rhei (Dahuang) [steamed], Fuzii Lateralis Radix Preparata (Fuzi) [processed, peeled and umbilicus removed], Fuling Poria (Fuling), Mumeng [unknown herb, likely a variant or typo for another herb, kept as Mumeng], Mudanpi Cortex Moutan (Mudanpi), Jiegeng Radix Platycodonis (Jiegeng) [each 2 liang], Xionggong Rhizoma Chuanxiong (Xiong), Renshen Ginseng Radix (Renshen), Nongpo Cortex Magnoliae Officinalis (Nongpo) [peeled, coated with ginger juice, roasted], Danggui Radix (Danggui) [dried, each 0.5 liang], Tian Tingli Fructus Descurainiae (Tian Tingli) [stir-fried, each 2 liang], Jiao Fructus Zanthoxyli (Jiao) [remove eyes, stir-fried until oil appears, 0.5 liang], Mengchong Tabanus (Mengchong) [remove head, legs, wings, 50 units], Wuzhuyu Fructus Evodiae (Wuzhuyu) [stir-fried], Chaihu Radix Bupleuri (Chaihu) [remove sprouts], Ganjiang Rhizoma Zingiberis Recens (Ganjiang), Guizhi Ramulus Cinnamomi (Guizhi) [remove heart, each 0.5 liang], Xixin Herba Asari (Xixin) [remove sprouts].

Xiaoji Tang (Cibotium Herb Decoction): Treats menorrhagia progressing to metrorrhagia, with bright red blood like water. Warmth causes irritability, even fainting. A rapid, minute pulse is favorable; a large pulse is unfavorable. This is due to yin deficiency with yang hyperactivity, attacked by heat pathogen, damaging the Chong and Ren vessels. Blood flows freely when heated, and Chong/Ren cannot retain it.
Xiaoji Herba Centipedae (Xiaoji) [wash, cut, grind, take 1 zhan of juice], Shengdihuang Radix Rehmanniae Recens (Shengdihuang) [1 zhan of juice], Baizhu Atractodis Rhizoma (Baizhu) [0.5 liang, finely sliced].
Decoct the above with 1 zhan of water together. Take half the volume, remove dregs, and divide into two doses.

This is called "Yin Bo Yang Bie" (Pulsation of Yin distinguishing from Yang), indicating pregnancy. Spirit remains normal, aversion to food odors, craving only one type of food, or severe vomiting with clear fluid. This is named "Ezu" (Morning Sickness); do not treat as other diseases.
Baizhu Atractodis Rhizoma (Baizhu) [1 liang], Renshen Ginseng Radix (Renshen) [0.5 liang], Dingxiang Flos Caryophyllati (Dingxiang), Gancao Radix Glycyrrhizae (Gancao) [roasted, each 1 fen].

Taoren Tang (Peach Kernel Decoction): Treats sudden cessation or gradual decrease of lochia, heavy and painful lower back with pain radiating to the thighs, stabbing pain like needles or knives. This is blood stasis in the collaterals. If not cleared immediately, severe pain will lead to abscess formation.
Sumu Lignum Santali Rubrum (Sumu), Dihuang Radix Preparata (Dihuang), Taoren Semen Persicae (Taoren) [remove skin and tip, stir-fried, each 0.5 liang], Mengchong Tabanus (Mengchong) [remove head, legs, wings, stir-fried], Shuizhi Hirudo (Shuizhi) [stir-fried, each 30 units].
Grind the above into powder. Take 5 qian per dose, add 2 zhan of water, decoct until 1 zhan remains, remove dregs, and take warm. Stop taking once lochia flow resumes.

Moyao Wan (Myrrh Pill): Treats lochia that has just started but suddenly stops, accompanied by abrupt chills and fever, severe abdominal pain, and chest pain like needle pricks. This indicates significant blood stasis in the collaterals.
Danggui Radix (Danggui) [dried, 1 liang], Guixin Cortex Cinnamomi (Guixin), Shaoyao Radix Alba (Shaoyao) [each 0.5 liang], Moyao Resina Myrrhae (Moyao) [1 fen], Taoren Semen Persicae (Taoren) [remove skin and tip, stir-fried, 1 fen], Mengchong Tabanus (Mengchong) [remove head, legs, wings, stir-fried], Shuizhi Hirudo (Shuizhi) [stir-fried, each 30 units].
Grind the above into fine powder, mix with vinegar paste to form pills the size of Sophora seeds. Administer 3 pills with vinegar-water solution.
Zaojiao San (Gleditsia Sinensis Pod Powder): Treats puerperal mastitis ("blown milk"), caused by infant nasal breath entering the breast milk, leading to sudden swelling, hardness, and acute pain. Massage the area, take Zaojiao San, Gualou San, and apply external medicine. If not treated immediately, it forms an abscess and can be fatal.
Zaojiao Fructus Gleditsiae Sinensis (Zaojiao) [burned, finely ground], Ge Fen Talcum (Ge Fen) [ground, equal parts].
