(This method relies on exhaling through the mouth and inhaling through the nose, with no sound heard by the ears, which is the essence. This practice of the Six Syllables is a secret key. Without practicing these six Qi movements, one cannot achieve results. The classic text uses this for Dao Yin (guiding and pulling). If one does not follow the guidance of the classics, the mystery remains unknown.)
When treating the Liver, use the syllable "Xu" (嘘) while keeping the eyes wide open; when treating the Lungs, use the syllable "Si" (呬) while raising both hands overhead.
When treating the Heart, use the syllable "He" (呵) with hands crossed above the head; when treating the Kidneys, use the syllable "Chui" (吹) while hugging the knees in a flat position.
When treating the Spleen, use the syllable "Hu" (呼) while puckering the lips; for pathogenic heat in the San Jiao (Triple Burner), lying down and using the syllable "Xi" (嘻) brings peace.
Key to Blowing Kidney Qi (Chui Shen Qi Jue)
The Kidney governs water and is the gate of life. Illness leads to emaciation and dim complexion.
With furrowed brows, tinnitus, and a dark, thin appearance, blowing (Chui) causes evil pathogens to flee immediately.
Key to Blowing Heart Qi (He Xin Qi Jue)
Heart fire causing restlessness requires urgent use of He (呵). This method is divine and unsurpassed.
For mouth ulcers and hot pain in the throat, following this method brings immediate harmony.
Key to Blowing Liver Qi (Xu Gan Qi Jue)
The Liver corresponds to Wood and East, associated with the Heart's position. Illness brings soreness and bitterness.
Red eyes and excessive tearing are cured instantly by Xu (嘘), with miraculous efficacy.
Key to Blowing Lung Qi (Si Fei Qi Jue)
Frequent coughing produces saliva and phlegm; chest oppression and fullness indicate upper Jiao phlegm.
If lung disease arises, urgently use Si (呬); upon usage, peace returns immediately.
Key to Blowing Spleen Qi (Hu Pi Qi Jue)
The Spleen belongs to Earth, known as the Grand Granary. Practicing Hu (呼) for phlegm diseases surpasses medicinal prescriptions.
For diarrhea, dysentery, borborygmus, and vomiting water, urgently adjusting the Hu character avoids disaster.
Key to Blowing San Jiao Qi (Xi San Jiao Jue)
San Jiao illness requires urgent Xi (嘻). This is the highest medical advice from ancient sages.
If Qi circulation is blocked by Earth stagnation, without this method, how would one know?
Spring Xu (嘘) brightens the eyes and supports the Liver (Wood); Summer Solstice He (呵) nourishes the Heart, allowing Fire to rest naturally.
Autumn Si (呬) stabilizes and collects, moistening the Lungs (Metal); Winter Chui (吹) secures the Kidneys, ensuring safety in Kan (Water/Kidney).
San Jiao Xi (嘻) dispels irritability and heat; throughout the four seasons, long Hu (呼) aids the Spleen in digesting meals.
Avoid making sound audible to the mouth and ears; its merit surpasses even Baoshen Dan (Preserve Spirit Pill).
One inhalation followed by lifting [the anus], Qi returns to the navel with every breath. One lift followed by swallowing [saliva], Water and Fire meet. These sixteen characters are named by immortals as the "Sixteen Gold Ingot," an extremely simple and easy profound key. It does not hinder governance if one is an official, household chores if one is secular, or one's profession if one is a scholar or merchant. Whenever there is a moment of leisure among the twelve two-hour periods of the day, or during walking, standing, sitting, and lying down, wherever the mind goes, it can be practiced. First, rinse the mouth and generate saliva three to five times, stirring the tongue against the upper and lower gums. Keep the tip of the tongue against the upper palate until the mouth is full of saliva, then swallow the saliva together, producing a gurgling sound. Immediately inhale a mouthful of clear Qi through the nose, guiding it with the mind and spirit, sending it directly to the Dantian Yuanhai (Source Sea) located 1.3 cun below the umbilicus, retaining it briefly. This is one inhalation. Then, gently contract the lower body as if holding back stool, using mental force to lift the Qi, returning it to the navel, passing through the Jiaji, Shuangguan, and Kidney gates, rising all the way to the Yuzhen Pass at the back of the head, penetrating into the Niwan Palace at the top of the head. As it rises, one does not feel the Qi escaping upwards; this is one exhalation. One exhalation and one inhalation constitute one breath cycle. After the Qi has risen, swallow the saliva again with a gurgling sound as before. Inhale clear Qi through the nose, send it to the Dantian, retain it briefly. Lift it from the lower body again as before, connecting with the navel and rising. Thus, "Qi returns to the navel with every breath," and longevity rivals heaven. Whenever swallowing, it is better to have fluid in the mouth; if none, still swallow with a gurgling sound. Such a cycle of swallowing and lifting may be done three to five times, seven to nine times, twelve times, or twenty-four times. Practice when desired, stop when desired, but never forget to treat it as a serious practice without interruption, which constitutes diligence. For madness or insanity, the effect is particularly rapid. Long-term practice eliminates disease, extends life, preserves the physical form, prevents hundred illnesses, and naturally results in freedom from hunger and thirst, health surpassing the ordinary. After one year of practice, one permanently eliminates colds,痞 accumulation (masses), qi stagnation, paralysis, carbuncles, sores, and toxins; ears and eyes become clear, memory strengthens, chronic diseases heal, and longevity becomes attainable. During sexual intercourse, at the moment of impending ejaculation, one can also use this method: lift the anus, exhale, swallow saliva, and inhale, guiding the essence back to the Yuanhai. Securing the spring tide, preventing the dragon from flying [ejaculating], is highly beneficial. So it is said: Creation is in my hands, the Universe is in my heart; its wonder cannot be fully described.
