One method: Place the left foot on top of the right foot to eliminate *Ji Ju* (accumulation and gathering, referring to abdominal masses or qi stagnation) under the heart.
One method: Sit upright with a straight waist, turn the head back and look up, slowly inhale air through the mouth, and then swallow it. Repeat thirty times and stop. Open the eyes to eliminate *Ji Ju* under the heart.
One method: Lie on the left side, extend the arms and legs, inhale through the mouth, and exhale through the nose, repeating in a cycle. This eliminates accumulation and relieves discomfort under the heart.
One method: Press the right hypochondrium with the left hand, raise the right hand, and stretch to the extreme. This eliminates accumulations and old blood stasis.
One method: Close the mouth and breathe slightly. Face the direction of the prevailing Qi (*Wang Qi*), open the nostrils to inhale, force the Qi down to below the umbilicus, and exhale slightly through small mouth openings. Perform twelve cycles to eliminate clustered Qi. Lower the head and hold the breath, perform twelve more cycles to digest food, making the body light and strong. Practicing this in winter prevents cold sensitivity.
One method: Sit upright with a straight waist, extend both arms upward, face the palms upward, inhale through the nose and hold the breath until the limit, for seven breaths. This is called "Shu Wang Tai" (Terrace of the King of Shu). It eliminates *Ji Ju* under the hypochondrium.
One method: In the early morning, remove the pillow, lie supine, extend the arms and calves, close the eyes, close the mouth, and hold the breath until the limit. Then expand the abdomen and feet. Hold the breath again for a moment, then contract the abdomen, lift the feet, make fists tightly, and when you wish to breathe slightly, wait until the breath stabilizes before repeating. In spring, three times; in summer, five times; in autumn, seven times; in winter, nine times. This purges the Five Zang organs and moistens the Six Fu organs, curing all diseases. For those with accumulations, expand the abdomen while inhaling; stop when heat is felt. The *Zheng Jia* (masses and growths) will disperse and break, leading to recovery.
One method: For disharmony between the Spleen and Stomach resulting in inability to eat: Tilt the body, direct both hands to one side, forcefully extend the body and stretch the head, pulling against each other with the hands until reaching the limit gradually. The Qi and strength should harmonize. Repeat this to the left and right equally, twenty-one times each (3 x 7). For the two corners at the front and back of the neck, slowly stretch the hands as if pulling outward, relaxing the mind and body, shaking fourteen times (2 x 7), alternating similarly. This removes disharmony in the Tai Cang (Stomach) and emptiness/heaviness in the arms and waist.

Five Animal Frolics Method
The *Dao Zang Jing* (Daoist Canon) states: Laozi said: The immortals of ancient times engaged in *Dao Yin* exercises, stretching like birds, pulling and extending the waist and body, moving various joints, seeking to delay aging. This was named the "Frolics of the Five Animals." Pulling and extending the limbs serves as a substitute for *Dao Yin* to relieve bodily discomfort. Starting with the frolics of one animal causes sweating, after which one stops, resulting in a light body. Universally practicing this allows one to live over nine hundred years, with clear ears and eyes, and complete, firm teeth. The method of *Dao Yin* is very easy, but few actually practice it. How sad!
Tiger Frolic: Support the body on four limbs, step forward three paces, step backward three paces, elongate the waist, move forward and backward alternately. Look up to the sky, then return to a prone position, walk on all fours, moving forward and backward seven times each.
Bear Frolic: Lie flat on the back, hug the knees with both hands, push the head downward. Press the ground with the left hand seven times, and with the right hand seven times. Squat on the ground, supporting the ground with hands to the left and right, seven times each.
Deer Frolic: Support the body on four limbs, pull the neck to look back. Left three times, right three times. Extend the right foot with the left leg, extend the left foot with the right leg. Stretch and retract left and right, three times each.
Ape Frolic: Climb objects to hang suspended, stretch and contract the body, up and down seven times. Hook objects with the feet to hang upside down, left seven times, right seven times. Sit, hook the feet with left and right hands five times each, press the head seven times each.
Bird Frolic: Stand up, lift one foot, extend both arms, raise eyebrows and exert force, fourteen times each (2 x 7). Sit, extend the legs, grasp the toes with hands seven times each, stretch and retract both arms seven times each.
The Five Animal Frolics method should be performed according to one's strength, using sweating as the limit. It makes the body light, aids digestion of grain Qi, boosts energy, and eliminates myriad diseases. Hua Tuo practiced it and lived over ten thousand years. He taught it to his disciple Wu Pu from Guangling, who also attained longevity.
