The Sixteen-Ingredient Mugwort Flowing Qi Decoction (Shi Liu Wei Mu Xiang Liu Qi Yin) is indicated. This formula treats dysfunction of the five Zang organs in men and women, where excessive worry and thinking cause the Qi of Yin and Yang to stagnate and fail to disperse, leading to obstruction and phlegm formation. It is also suitable for Hong Kong foot (podagra/swelling), pain attacking the shoulders, back, hypochondrium, and wandering pain.
