上用水一钟半煎八分食后通口服
Treatment for forgetfulness, palpitations (Zhenchong), and insomnia caused by excessive mental worry damaging Heart Blood; this formula resolves depression, nourishes the Heart and Spleen, and generates blood.
Baizhu (Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma), Baifushen (Poria with Hostwood), Huangqi (Astragali Radix), Danggui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix) (each 1 qian), Muxiang (Vladimiriae Root), Yuanyanrou (Longan Aril), Renshen (Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma), Gancao (Licorice Radix et Rhizoma, prepared), Suanzaoren (Ziziphi Spinosae Semen, stir-fried and crushed) (1.2 qian).
Take the above herbs with one slice of Shengjiang (Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens), one Zao (Jujubae Fructus), and water; decoct and take after meals.
For spontaneous sweating due to Yang deficiency, Huangqi Jianzhong Tang (Decoction) is indicated.
Huangqi (Astragali Radix) (2.5 qian), Renshen (Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma) (1 qian), Baizhu (Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma, bran-fried) (1.2 qian), Gancao (Licorice Radix et Rhizoma, prepared) (0.5 qian), Danggui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix) (0.8 qian).
Take the above herbs with a pinch of Fuxiaomai (Tritici Levis Fructus) and 1.5 zhong of water; decoct until 0.7 zhong remains; take after meals. Avoid five pungent spices and hot-natured foods.
For night sweats due to Yin deficiency, Danggui Liuhuang Tang (Danggui Six-Huang Decoction) is indicated; it is the sacred medicine for treating night sweats.
Danggui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix), Shengdihuang (Rehmanniae Radix), Shudihuang (Rehmanniae Radix Preparata) (each 1 qian), Huanglian (Coptidis Rhizoma, stir-fried), Huangbai (Phellodendri Cortex, stir-fried), Huangqin (Scutellariae Radix, stir-fried) (each 0.8 qian), Huangqi (Astragali Radix) (1.5 qian), Mumli (Ostreae Concha, calcined) (0.5 qian).
Take the above herbs with 2 zhong of water; decoct until 1 zhong remains; take orally before going to bed.
For tinnitus due to excess Lung Fire and deficiency of Kidney Qi, Siwu Tang (Four-Substance Decoction) (4 qian) combined with Huangbai (Phellodendri Cortex) (3 qian) is indicated; decoct in Tongbian (Child's Urine) and take on an empty stomach.
Treatment for deafness: Songxiang (Colophonium), Badou (Crotonis Fructus, 20 grains, powdered).
Melt the Songxiang, mix evenly with the Badou powder, form into pills the size of a jujube pit using Congji (Scallion Juice), wrap in cotton, and insert into the ear. For left-sided deafness, insert into the right ear; for right-sided deafness, insert into the left ear; for bilateral deafness, insert sequentially.
Baikufan (Alumen Crudum), Shexiang (Moschus), Yanzhipei (Carthami Flos Embryo), Chenpihui (Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium Ash).
Powder all ingredients together. First, use a cotton swab to remove pus; then, wrap the powder in cotton to form a pill and insert into the ear.
Treatment for sudden onset of red eyes, nebula, swelling, pain, and unbearable discomfort:
Danggui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix), Chuanxiong (Ligustici Chuanxiong Rhizoma), Shaoyao (Paeoniae Radix), Shengdihuang (Rehmanniae Radix) (each 1 qian), Qianghuo (Notopterygii Rhizoma et Radix), Fangfeng (Saposhnikoviae Radix), Huangqin (Scutellariae Radix), Longdancao (Gentianae Radix), Huanglian (Coptidis Rhizoma), Ganhua juhua (Chrysanthemi Flos) (each 0.8 qian), Xuanshen (Scrophulariae Radix), Bohe (Menthae Haplocalycis Herba) (each 0.5 qian).
Take the above herbs with 1.5 zhong of water; decoct until 0.8 zhong remains; take orally after meals.
