Treats all initial stages of carbuncles and sores; if not yet suppurated, taking it will cause immediate resolution; if already suppurated, taking it will cause immediate rupture. If already ruptured, there is no need to take this prescription.

Jinyinhua (Lonicerae Japonicae Flos, 3 qian) Chenpi (Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium, remove the white pith) Danggui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix, washed with wine, 1.5 qian) Fangfeng (Saposhnikoviae Radix, 7 fen) Baizhi (Angelicae Dahuricae Radix) Gancao Jie (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma, the knotted part) Beimu (Fritillariae Cirrhosae Bulbus) Tianhuafen (Trichosanthis Radix) Ruxiang (Olibanum, 1 qian) Moyao (Myrrha, these two herbs are ground separately and added when the decoction is ready) Zaocispicus (Rami Urticus Spina, 5 fen) Chuanshanjia (Manis Squama, three large slices chopped, stir-fried with Concha Meretricis et Cyclinae Pulvis, remove the powder and use).

Decoct using high-quality yellow wine. For toxins located in the upper body, take after a full meal; for toxins in the lower body, take on an empty stomach. Those who can drink alcohol may consume more to facilitate the movement of medicinal potency.

This prescription can be taken by both the elderly and children. When the cumulative dosage exceeds one liang, efficacy is invariably achieved. For any initial stage of sores, carbuncles, or malignant toxins, immediate intake detoxifies, protects the interior membranes, supports the healthy qi, prevents the toxin from attacking the heart, most effectively stops pain, and does not damage the zang-fu organs. It is miraculous.

Baifan (Alumen, select bright ones, 1 liang, ground) Huangla (Cera Flava, 7 qian melted, wait until slightly cool then add the alum powder, stir continuously until uniform).
Grind into pills the size of paulownia seeds. If the wax cools too much to form pills, pour boiling water over them to soften. Take 30 pills per dose, gradually increasing to 30-40 pills, swallowed with plain warm water or warm wine. If unruptured, they resolve; if ruptured, they heal. For widespread sores resembling snake heads, this prescription is also effective. However, consuming nearly a hundred pills within a day is necessary for the formula to exert its effect. This is because the Heart is the sovereign organ and difficult to invade by pathogens. In cases of carbuncles, sores, or injuries from snakes and dogs, if the toxin attacks the heart upward, life is immediately endangered. This medicine prevents toxic vapors from invading internally, consolidates the membranes, protects the heart, detoxifies, and relieves pain. Do not neglect it due to its simplicity.

Eliminates groin abscesses and swellings with divine efficacy.
Quanxie (Scorpio, stir-fried) Hetao (Juglandis Semen, remove shell and kernel, use only the septum, stir-fried, equal proportion). Grind into powder, mix with wine and take 3 qian on an empty stomach, and another 3 qian in the afternoon for recovery.

Suitable for treating all kinds of malignant ulcers after suppuration has occurred.
Renshen (Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma) Chuanxiong (Chuanxiong Rhizoma) Danggui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix) Baishao (Paeoniae Radix Alba) Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma) Baizhi (Angelicae Dahuricae Radix) Fangfeng (Saposhnikoviae Radix) Baizhu (Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma) Fuling (Poria) Guanzi Gui (Cinnamomi Cortex) Huangqi (Astragali Radix) Jinyinhua (Lonicerae Japonicae Flos) (equal proportions). Decoct in water and take.

Another prescription:
For severe back carbuncles with extensive ulceration where only the diaphragmatic membrane remains among the five zang organs, in a critical condition. Use HT fish (specific fish type as per original text), remove intestines, stuff with dried sheep manure, bake until charred, grind into powder, and apply dry powder directly to the wound. The sore will naturally close. This is a miraculous prescription.
