Treat delayed eruption of teeth.
Chuanxiong Rhizoma (4 qian) Dioscoreae Rhizoma (Shanyao) Angelicae Sinensis Radix (Danggui) Paeoniae Radix (Shaoyao, stir-fried) Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (Gancao, each 3 qian) Rehmanniae Radix Praeparata (Shudihuang, 1 liang). Grind into fine powder, take with warm water after meals, and also apply the dry powder to the tooth roots.

Treat loose tooth roots.
Polygoni Multiflori Radix (Heshouwu) Rehmanniae Radix (Shengdi) Achyranthis Bidentatae Radix (Niuxi) (each equal parts). Extract juice from Ecliptae Herba (Hanliancao), decoct the above herbs until boiling for a hundred times, concentrate into a paste, add salt, and use for rinsing the mouth daily.
Another prescription
Treat non-regrowth of fallen teeth. Take 30 black soybeans (Heidou), wrap in cow dung, and roast until smoke ceases, add a small amount of Moschus (Shexiang), grind into powder. First, pierce the area where the tooth has not erupted to induce bleeding, then apply the medicine.

The Foot-Shaoyin Kidney Meridian manifests its luster in the hair. Delayed hair growth indicates insufficient prenatal essence and deficiency of blood and qi, which cannot ascend to nourish the hair. External application treats the branch (symptoms), while internal supplementation treats the root (cause).

Elsholtziae Herba (Xiangru, 1 liang) Cerussa (Hufen) Suis Fellum (Zhudan, 2.5 qian).
Decoct Elsholtziae Herba (Xiangru) in water, add Cerussa (Hufen) and Suis Fellum (Zhudan), mix well, and apply to the scalp three times a day.

Speech is the sound of the Heart. Some cases arise from sudden fright during pregnancy, disturbing the fetus internally, leading to insufficiency of Heart Qi. The root of the tongue becomes obstructed, resulting in inability to speak. Other cases result from the father's depletion of Kidney Qi, causing the congenital Clear Yang Qi to fail to ascend. If the complexion is sallow, muscles are weak, there is craving for drinks, diarrhea, heat in the palms and soles, and hair is dry like down, the disease is in the Spleen accompanied by infantile malnutrition (Gan syndrome). If the malar region is red, prone to fright, with five-palm heat, cold extremities, and frequent irritable crying, the disease is in the Heart. If the complexion is green, tendons are prominent, eyes are tense, hair is disheveled, breath is foul, and limbs are thin, the disease is in the Liver. If the sclera is white and the chin is pale, skin is rough like millet grains, hair is scorched, with frequent cough and undigested stool diarrhea, the disease is in the Lung. If limbs are flaccid, complexion is dark, teeth erupt late, sclera is white, with shortness of breath and spirit fatigue, the disease is in the Kidney. As for aphonia and muteness after severe illness, it is either due to Kidney deficiency failing to connect with Clear Yang, or an inherent disease of the Clear Yang Qi itself.

Treat delayed speech due to Heart deficiency.
Ren Shen (5 qian) Schisandrae Chinensis Fructus (Shichangpu, 2 qian) Salviae Miltiorrhizae Radix (Danshen) Halloysit Rubra (Chishizhi) Asparagi Radix (Tiandong, dehearted) Polygalae Radix (Yuanzhi) Ophiopogonis Radix (Maidong) (each 2 qian). Grind into powder, form pills with honey, size of broomcorn millet seeds. Take 30 pills with rice soup, away from meals. Another formula includes Angelicae Sinensis Radix (Danggui), Boswelliae Resina (Ruxiang), Chuanxiong Rhizoma (Chuanxiong), and Cinnabaris (Zhusha).
