Gao You (Diagnosed on August 15th): The constitution is Yin-deficient, with Kidney Water failing to nourish Liver Wood, leading to hyperactive Qi and Fire in the Liver and Gallbladder. Wood and Fire invade Metal (Lung), causing the Lung to lose its clear descending function. At this time, Dryness Metal governs the qi, compounded by Autumn Dryness, allowing Wind Pathogen to invade due to deficiency. Wind and Dryness contend with each other, Metal suffers from Fire punishment, resulting in cough with blood-streaked sputum, green-colored phlegm, pulling pain in the chest and hypochondrium, alternating chills and fever, and severe internal heat. Currently, there is only dry cough, flushing heat, and profuse sweating, which are clearly signs of Yin deficiency and floating Yang. The pulse is soggy and fine-rapid; the Right Cun and Guan positions are larger than other positions. The tongue coating is glossy red, with a slight yellow coating at the middle and posterior parts. Considering the pulse and symptoms, there is fear of bleeding from the Yang collaterals. As it approaches the Frost Descent solar term, one must be cautious of aggravation. Respectfully adopting Yu Jia Yan's Qing Zao Jiu Fei Tang as a basis for modification, hoping for symptom relief. Attached is the prescription for correction.

American Ginseng, Loquat Leaf, Honey-fried Licorice Root, Gypsum fried with rock sugar water, Rose Flower, Ophiopogon with heart, Real Chuan Bei Mu, Aged Donkey-hide Gelatin, Silk Gourd Lattice stir-fried with duck blood, Northern Apricot Kernel, Hemp Seed, East White Peony Root, Mulberry Leaf after frost.

Brother Xiaoshan (Diagnosed in November): Winter Warm-Dry pathogen disturbs Liver Yang from the Lung and Stomach. Phlegm-Fluid retention combined with food stagnation obstructs the Fu organ qi, disrupting ascending and descending movements. Initially, there were tidal chills and fever, head distension and dizziness, bone and channel vexing pain, dry mouth, nausea, and vomiting. Subsequently, continuous body heat, coughing up turbid phlegm, mental fatigue and somnolence, rebellious Qi with epigastric fullness, and occasional delirium occurred. This is because Phlegm-Heat rises from the Lung and Stomach to the Pericardium (the Palace City of the Heart), where the Heart Meridian is affected by exogenous heat, and the clear ruling Qi is obscured by turbid pathogens. Palpating the pulse reveals wiry, slippery, and rapid qualities, with the Left side being small, wiry, and rapid. The tongue coating is yellow and rough, with sticky, turbid phlegm covering the upper part rather than white flakes. Now at the Winter Solstice major solar term, and given the patient's usual overwork, the Heart Nutrient Qi is naturally deficient. Combining pulse and symptoms, if Phlegm-Qi flows smoothly and exogenous heat decreases, it indicates a turning point; otherwise, one must beware of the danger of panting and collapse. Tentatively prescribing methods to Clear the Heart, wash away Phlegm, calm the Liver, and descend Qi. Attached is the prescription for correction.

American Ginseng, Stir-fried Burdock Fruit, Bamboo Sap mixed evenly with Calamus Juice taken together, Antelope Horn Slices, Sichuan Curcuma, Stir-fried Tribulus Fruit, Forsythia, Inula Flower, Niuhuang Qingxin Wan (Calculus Bovis Heart-Clearing Pill).
Note: This prescription originally included Apricot Kernel, Chuan Bei Mu, Moutan Cortex, Indigo Naturalis, Shell of Argopecten Irradiatus, Huo Shan Shi Hu, Tong Cao, etc., but they are not listed here due to complexity.
