The Hand-Taiyin Lung Meridian consists of eleven acupoints: Zhongfu (Zhōngfǔ), Yunmen (Yúnmén), Tianfu (Tiānfǔ), Xiabai (Xiábái), Chize (Chǐzé), Kongzui (Kǒngzuì), Lieque (Lièquē), Jingqu (Jīngqū), Taiyuan (Tàiyuán), Yuji (Yújì), and Shaoshang (Shàoshāng). Shaoshang is located at the tip of the finger, resembling the width of a leek leaf.
Zhongfu is located in the third intercostal space. Moving upward one cun and six fen leads to Yunmen. Yunmen is situated six cun lateral to the midline of the Ren Mai (Conception Vessel), in the depression between the two bones below Jugu (GB21) of the Hand-Yangming Large Intestine Meridian. Tianfu is sought at the pulsating artery three cun below the axilla. Xiabai is located five cun above the elbow. Chize is found at the center of the cubital crease. Kongzui is estimated seven cun above the wrist crease. Lieque is located one cun and half a cun above the wrist crease. Jingqu is taken from the depression at the radial pulse (Cunkou). Taiyuan is at the end of the transverse crease on the palmar side of the wrist. Yuji lies within the scattered vessels behind the first metacarpophalangeal joint. Shaoshang is on the medial aspect of the thumb tip; needling this point can immediately stop epistaxis (nosebleed).
[Note] Zhongfu is located six cun lateral to Huagai (CV20) along the midline of the Ren Mai, in the depression of the third intercostal space above the nipple, where arterial pulsation is palpable; it should be accessed with the patient supine. Moving vertically upward one cun and six fen from Zhongfu, into the depression below Jugu (GB21) of the Hand-Yangming Large Intestine Meridian, where arterial pulsation is palpable, access the arm raised to locate Yunmen. Descending from Yunmen along the inner chest wall, mark the depression with arterial pulsation three cun below the axilla using ink applied by the nose tip to locate Tianfu. Descending from Tianfu towards the elbow, locate the arterial pulsation five cun above the cubital crease to find Xiabai. Descending from Xiabai towards the elbow, locate the depression between the tendons and bones in the flexion crease above the cubital crease, where arterial pulsation is palpable, to find Chize. Descending from Chize to the anterior wrist, locate the depression between the upper and lower bones seven cun above the wrist crease to find Kongzui. Tracing laterally from Kongzui to the posterior wrist, move up one cun and five fen; cross both hands to locate the depression between the tendons and bones at the distal end of the index finger to find Lieque. Tracing from Lieque to the depression at the Cunkou (radial pulse), locate Jingqu. Tracing inward from Jingqu to the depression behind the palm, locate Taiyuan. Ascending from Taiyuan to the thenar eminence, locate the depression in the scattered vessels and white flesh margin medial to the proximal phalanx of the thumb to find Yuji. Tracing from Yuji along the medial tip of the thumb, locate the white flesh margin approximately the width of a leek leaf away from the corner of the nail to find Shaoshang.
