Adzuki bean flour treats irritability, clears heat, nourishes blood vessels, strengthens sinews and bones, and resolves heat toxicity from wheat. Leaves, when eaten, brighten the eyes. Flowers are pungent and neutral, with a putrid odor, hence named "Fu Bi" (Rotting Bean).
