Enuresis is caused by deficiency and cold of the Kidney Yuan (Original Qi); it is appropriate to combine Rougui (Cinnamon Bark) with Jiguanhua (Cock Comb Flower). If the pathology is in the Upper Jiao, Buzhong Yiqi Tang (Decoction for Replenishing the Middle and Augmenting Qi) should be used; if it is in the Lower Jiao, Shenfu Tang (Ginseng and Aconite Decoction) combined with Shanyuzi (Cornus Fruit) will naturally stabilize the lower source.
Regarding "Fanglao Shanghan" (Cold Damage due to Sexual Exhaustion), only when the pulse is fine and nearly imperceptible, accompanied by cold extremities, abdominal pain, vomiting, and diarrhea, does it constitute a Yin Syndrome. In such cases, Tongmai Sini Tang (Pulse-Regulating Four-Reverse Decoction) should be used for treatment. If it is not a Yin-Cold syndrome, misusing this formula will lead to immediate death. Generally speaking, eight or nine out of ten cases of this syndrome belong to Heat Syndromes. Sun Simiao used one sheng of Qingzhupi (Green Bamboo Skin), decocted in water, to treat it. If the patient experiences restlessness and inability to sleep, Huanglian Jizihuang Tang (Coptis and Egg Yolk Decoction) is suitable for rescue. Wang Lingyou stated: "The Kidney stores Essence. Excessive sexual activity causes excessive loss of Essence. The lost essence transforms into water and belongs to Yin. Moreover, during sexual exertion, Heart Fire flares up first. When Fire is intense, Water flows; as Water flows more, Fire becomes more intense. The internal organs become scorched with heat, and externally, pathogenic heat is contracted. The two heats combine, causing Kidney Water to inevitably dry up. The person becomes irritable and restless, with a black tongue and prickles, leading to death." Yu Jiayan's *Yuyi Cao* and Xu Lingtai's *Yi Lun* share the same view. This syndrome arises from Kidney Deficiency, so it is classified under Deficiency Syndromes.
Sexual exhaustion leads to the leakage of Yin Essence; essence leakage causes Yin Deficiency and generates Fire Syndromes. Xin-Wen (Acrid-Warm) formulas like Sini Tang (Four-Reverse Decoction) must be used with caution. Qingzhu Pi Tang (Green Bamboo Skin Decoction) and Huanglian Jizihuang Tang represent ancient covenants (The *Neijing* states: These are forbidden formulas sworn by blood oath, meaning they are not transmitted freely, partly to prevent leaking the mechanisms of creation, and partly to prevent people from taking the Dao lightly).
Su Bing (Constitutional Qi) originates from congenital sources. The pulse must be long; the person prefers labor over leisure, coolness over heat. Once suffering from Cold Damage or miscellaneous diseases, sweating, emetic, and purgative methods can be applied extensively, as removing disease requires thoroughness. Occasional use of tonifying and warming methods is merely incidental. However, in individuals with robust constitutions, external pathogens find it difficult to enter but also difficult to exit; this must be understood. Fangfeng Tongsheng San (Saposhnikovia Powder to Unblock and Safeguard) is suitable for patients with both exterior and interior involvement. Even if pathogenic factors have just injured the body and not yet entered the interior, this formula can be used to unblock the interior, allowing the exterior to resolve spontaneously, with absolutely no contraindications. Thus, those with abundant constitutional endowment require distinct treatment methods. Generally, individuals with robust constitutions suffer no discomfort, except for having much damp-phlegm. Regularly taking Cangzhu (Atractylodis Rhizoma) prepared in pill form is an agent that expels disease and prolongs life. Additionally, Erchen Tang (Two-Aged Decoction) with modifications is most suitable; for those with excess fire, Qiankun De Yi Wan (Qiankun De Yi Pill) should be swallowed.
