Fugu Ju (Abscess attached to the bone) presents with swelling in the deep muscle layers, while the skin color remains unchanged. It is appropriate to use moxa cones for moxibustion, aiming to transform the condition from a Yin syndrome to a Yang syndrome, which is auspicious. If it occurs three cun above the knee, it is named Fubu Ju (Abscess at the thigh rabbit area), and the treatment principle indicates it is difficult to cure.
Shetou Du (Poison resembling a snake's head) presents with swelling of the fingers on the hands or feet, large as a snake's head. It is appropriate to use moxa cones for moxibustion through garlic slices. Equal parts of Xionghuang (Realgar) and Baizhi (Angelicae Dahuricae Radix) are ground into powder, mixed with garlic, pounded into a paste, applied to the affected area, and then moxibusted. Alternatively, chewing raw chestnuts and applying them to the site is also effective.
Tuoju (Gangrene of the digits) occurs on the fingers of the hands or feet, swelling like a snake's head, with swelling, putrefaction, and ulceration. Hai Fu San (Sea Floating Powder) should be sprinkled on the wound, and Wan Quan Gao (Wan Quan Ointment) should be applied.
Chuang (Ulcer/Canker) occurring on the medial or lateral aspects of the foot: It is appropriate to take Sheng Shu Di Huang Wan (Raw and Prepared Rehmannia Pill) and externally apply Hai Fu San (Sea Floating Powder) and Wan Quan Gao (Wan Quan Ointment). If damp-heat is severe and the ulcer fails to heal, add Huang Bai San (Phellodendron Powder) to Hai Fu San (Sea Floating Powder) for external application, which yields immediate results.
Chang Yong (Intestinal Abscess): Some occur inside the intestines, presenting with abdominal distension and urgency, pulling pain during defecation and urination similar to strangury (Lin syndrome), and water-sloshing sounds in the abdomen upon turning or shaking. After rupture, pus discharges via the stool. Others occur outside the intestines, presenting with swelling and pain around the umbilicus and abdominal wall tension. After rupture, pus discharges from the umbilicus; if severe, it may perforate the large intestine, causing intestinal worms to discharge from the umbilicus, making it difficult to treat. In the initial stage, Qianjin Mudan Pi San (Million-Gold Moutan Cortex Powder) is used to dissipate the abscess. After rupture, formulas containing Renshen (Ginseng Root) and Huangqi (Astragali Radix) for internal support are used.
Mudanpi (Cortex Moutan) (5 qian), Yiren (Semen Coicis) (1 liang), Gualouren (Pericarpium Trichosanthis) (3 qian, oil removed), Taoren (Semen Persicae) (20 seeds, skin and tips removed, crushed). Decoct in water and take orally.
(Zangdu Internal Hemorrhoids External Hemorrhoids Rectal Prolapse)
Xuanyong (Hanging Sore) occurs behind the scrotum and in front of the anus, also known as Haidi Lou (Underwater Leak), and is the most difficult to cure successfully. Zangdu (Visceral Toxin) occurs on both sides of the anus. Initially presenting with swelling and pain, it is generally caused by damp-heat and ministerial fire burning internally, damaging Metal (Lung). It is appropriate to take Guolao San (Old Man Powder) and Jiadi Dihuang Wan (Modified Rehmannia Pill), and externally apply Hai Fu San (Sea Floating Powder) and medicated plasters. This is a fixed treatment method. For internal and external hemorrhoids, the aforementioned medicines can also be taken, washed with Rendongteng (Lonicerae Japonicae Caulis) and Changpu Cao (Acori Tatarinowii Rhizoma), and rubbed with Snail Water, which can eliminate the condition immediately. Rectal prolapse belongs to Qi deficiency, treated with Buzhong Yiqi Tang (Middle-Boosting Qi-Supplementing Decoction). There are also cases of Blood deficiency with Fire hyperactivity, treated with Siwu Tang (Four Substances Decoction) plus Shengma (Cimicifugae Rhizoma).
