[Excerpt from *Zhenjiu Jiayi Jing*] Headwind with facial swelling and neck stiffness preventing looking back: Treat Tiānyǒu (LI16) [acupoint] (insert 5 fen, retain for seven breaths; do not use tonification, nor moxibustion. If moxibustioned, it causes facial swelling; one should instead treat Xiàguān (ST7) [acupoint]. Insert 6 fen, retain for three breaths, apply reducing method during five inhalations, then treat Tiānyǒu (LI16) and Fēngchí (GB20) [acupoints] to recover. This is the ancient flowing acupoint method.)

I once treated an elderly woman with chronic headache lasting many years. Observing purple-black blood vessels on her hands and feet, I used a three-edged needle to pierce all these collateral vessels, draining several cups of dark, ink-like blood. Subsequently, treating the affected meridians with moxibustion and acupuncture led to complete recovery. This aligns with the *Classic of Internal Medicine*'s statement: "Great Bi transforms into malignant disease," and "Headache, long-standing Bi not leaving the body, observe the blood collaterals, exhaust the blood."

[Huangdi Neijing Suwen] The pulse at Cun Kou, when felt as short, indicates headache. (From *Ping Ren Qi Xiang Lun*) Pushing down the pulse, if it goes down but does not come up, there is headache and neck pain.
[Mai Jing] Diagnosing headache and eye pain, where prolonged gazing results in blindness, indicates death. (Prolonged gazing without seeing is discussed in *Zhu Mai Bing Za Fa*. "Down but not up" in *Mai Jing* corresponds to "suddenly looking up but not down" in *Jiayi Jing*). If the disease presents as headache and eye pain, and the pulse is urgent, short, and choppy, it indicates death. (Meaning unclear.)
