〔汤〕牛黄丸 小儿通睛，皆因失误筑打触着头面额角，兼倒扑，令儿肝受惊风，遂使两目斗睛，
名曰通睛，宜服此。
牛黄 白附子（炮） 肉桂 全蝎 芎 石膏（ 。各一钱） 白芷（二钱） 藿香（半两）
朱砂（二钱） 麝香（一分）
上为末，炼蜜为丸如芡实大。三岁以下，每服一丸，薄荷汤下。乳食后忌油面猪肉。
〔田〕小儿狐疝气偏有大小，时时上下者。蜘蛛十四枚，熬焦，桂枝半两，二物为散，每服八分，
日再，酒调下。蜜丸亦通。
偏坠亦宜防葵丸。令儿坐于上，中午时灸卵下偏坠之处七壮。（防葵丸未详。）
小儿偏坠，若非胎中所有，在后生者，于茎下肾囊前中间弦子上灸七壮，立愈。
〔《明》〕胎产疝卵偏坠，囊缝后十字纹上。（灸三壮，春灸夏瘥，夏灸冬瘥。）
〔汤〕小儿阴肿，由啼叫怒气闭纵于下成此疾，宜海蛤散。
海蛤（三钱） 茴香（炒，三分） 薏苡仁 白术 槟榔（各半两）
上末，食前，温酒调下。大小加减。
阴肿又方。
桃仁（去皮尖及双仁者，炒，三分） 牡丹皮 桂枝 白蒺藜（炒，去刺。各半两） 郁李仁（汤浸去皮，一分）
上水煎服。
〔丹〕脱囊，即外肾肿大。
木通 甘草 当归 黄连 黄芩
上水煎服。
〔钱〕蚯蚓散 治肾子肿硬成疝。
用干蚯蚓为末，唾调敷。常避风冷湿地。（先用花椒葱汤避风处洗，却用此敷之，累验。）
〔世〕治小儿囊肿如升，用甘草煎汁，调地龙末涂之，立退，累效。
〔丹〕用紫苏叶为末，水调敷上，又用青荷叶包之，治脱囊效。
〔明〕阴肿∶昆仑（灸三壮。）
[Tang's Formula] Niuhuang Wan (Calculus Bovis Pill): Infantile strabismus (convergent squint) is often caused by accidental blows or impacts to the head, face, or forehead, combined with falling and tumbling. This causes the liver to be affected by wind-stroke due to fright, resulting in both eyes staring inwardly, known as strabismus. It is appropriate to take this formula.
Ingredients: Calculus Bovis (Niuhuang), Rhizoma Typhonii (Baifuzi, processed), Cinnamon Twig (Rougui), Scorpio (Quanxie), Radix Angelicae Sinensis (Chuanxiong), Gypsum Fibrosum (Shigao, each 1 qian), Radix Angelicae Dahuricae (Baizhi, 2 qian), Agastache Rugosa (Huoxiang, half liang), Cinnabar (Zhusha, 2 qian), Moschus (Shexiang, 1 fen).
Grind the above ingredients into fine powder, mix with refined honey, and form pills the size of a Chinese chestnut. For children under three years old, administer one pill per dose, taken down with mint decoction. Avoid oily foods, wheat products, and pork after breastfeeding or meals.
[Tian's Formula] Infantile hernia (Huxian Qi) presents with asymmetrical scrotal swelling where the size varies, and the testis moves up and down intermittently. Take fourteen spiders, roast until charred, combine with half a liang of Cinnamon Twig (Guizhi, Ramulus Cinnamomi), grind these two substances into a powder. Administer 8 fen per dose, twice daily, mixed with wine. Honey pills are also acceptable.
For infantile unilateral testicular enlargement (Pianzhui), Fangkui Wan (Radix Saposhnikoviae Pill) is also suitable. Have the child sit on it. At noon, moxa-apply seven moxa cones (Zhuang) to the area of unilateral swelling below the scrotum. (The specific composition of Fangkui Wan is unknown.)
If infantile unilateral testicular enlargement is not congenital but acquired later, apply seven moxa cones to the frenulum located between the root of the penis and the anterior scrotum; it will heal immediately.
[From Ming Dynasty Texts] For congenital hernia and unilateral testicular swelling, moxa-apply the cross-shaped mark at the posterior seam of the scrotum. (Apply three moxa cones; if applied in spring, it heals in summer; if applied in summer, it heals in winter.)
[Tang's Formula] Infantile scrotal edema (Yinzhong) is caused by crying, shouting, or anger leading to qi stagnation or flaccidity in the lower jiao. Hai Ge San (Marine Shell Powder) is suitable.
Ingredients: Arca Concha (Haige, 3 qian), Fructus Foeniculi (Huixiang, stir-fried, 3 fen), Semen Coicis (Yiyiren), Rhizoma Atractylodis Macrocephalae (Baizhu), Areca Seed (Binglang, each half liang).
Grind into powder. Take before meals, mixed with warm wine. Adjust dosage according to severity.
Another formula for scrotal edema:
Ingredients: Persicae Semen (Taoren, remove skin, tip, and twin kernels, stir-fried, 3 fen), Cortex Moutan (Mudanpi), Cinnamon Twig (Guizhi), Spina Tribuli (Baijili, stir-fried, remove spines, each half liang), Pruni Semen (Yuliren, soak in hot water, remove skin, 1 fen).
Decoct in water and take orally.
[Danjie's Formula] Tuonang (Scrotal Gangrene/Necrosis) refers to the swelling of the external genitalia (testes).
Ingredients: Stemma Fissae (Mutong), Radix Glycyrrhizae (Gancao), Radix Angelicae Sinensis (Danggui), Radix Coptidis (Huanglian), Cortex Phellodendri (Huangqin).
Decoct in water and take orally.
[Qian Yi's Formula] Earthworm Powder (Qiuyin San): Treats swollen and hard testes forming a hernia.
Use dried earthworms ground into powder, mixed with saliva for topical application. Always avoid cold, windy, and damp places. (First wash in a wind-sheltered place with decoction of Sichuan pepper and green onion, then apply this powder; it has been repeatedly effective.)
[Worldly Medical Formulas] To treat infantile scrotal cysts as large as a measuring cup, use licorice juice to mix with earthworm powder and apply topically; it subsides immediately and has been repeatedly effective.
[Danjie's Formula] Use Perilla Leaf (Zisu Ye) ground into powder, mixed with water for topical application, and wrap with fresh lotus leaves. This is effective for treating scrotal necrosis.
[Ming Dynasty Texts] For scrotal edema: Moxa-apply Kunlun (BL60) point (three moxa cones).
