Translation:
The upper and lower eyelids are adherent, with excessive discharge, itching, and pain; this is caused by the excess of wind-dampness-heat in the Spleen and Stomach. The formula used is Juhua Tongsheng San (Chrysanthemum and Saint John's Wort Decoction) modified, containing Mangxiao (Natrii Sulfas), Dahuang (Rhei Radix et Rhizoma), Jiegeng (Platycodonis Radix), Baishao Yao (Paeoniae Radix Alba), Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma), Jingjie Sui (Schizonepetae Spica), Danggui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix), Shigao (Gypsum Fibrosum), Bohe (Menthae Haplocalycis Herba), Chuanxiong (Ligustici Chuanxiong Rhizoma), Mahuang (Ephedrae Herba), Huangqin (Scutellariae Radix), Zhizi (Gardeniae Fructus), Huashi (Talcum), Lianqiao (Forsythiae Fructus), Fangfeng (Saposhnikoviae Radix), Baizhu (Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma), plus additional Qianghuo (Notopterygii Rhizoma et Radix), Xixin (Asari Radix et Rhizoma), Juhua (Chrysanthemi Flos), and Manjingzi (Vittaginis Fructus), each 5 fen.

Note [1]: The condition known as "adherent eyelids" involves sores inside the eyelids, excessive discharge and tearing with itching and pain, causing the eyelids to adhere and making it difficult to open them. This is due to the prosperity of wind-dampness-heat in the Spleen and Stomach, combining to attack upwards.
Note [2]: It is appropriate to use Fangfeng Tongsheng San (Wind Protection Universal Powder) added with Qianghuo, Juhua, Xixin, and Manjingzi, to disperse wind-pathogens externally and clear pathogenic heat internally.
Translation:
Flower-like nebula with white depression located on the cornea (Wuqing); the periphery gradually rises, obscuring the pupil and divine light. The shape resembles date flowers or fish-scale nebulae. This is caused by wind-heat of the Lung and Liver rushing up to the brain. The formula used is Zhi Mu Yin Zi (Anemarrhenae Decoction), containing Fangfeng, Jiegeng, Zhi Mu, Mangxiao, Dahuang, Huangqin, Xixin, and Chongweizi.
Formula: Zhi Mu Yin Zi
Saposhnikoviae Radix (Fangfeng) 1.5 qian, Platycodonis Radix (Jiegeng) 1.5 qian, Anemarrhenae Rhizoma (Zhi Mu) 1 qian, Natrii Sulfas (Mangxiao) 1 qian, Rhei Radix et Rhizoma (Dahuang) 1.5 qian, Poria (Fuling) 1 qian, Asari Radix et Rhizoma (Xixin) 1 qian, Leonuri Fructus (Chongweizi) 1 qian.
Grind the above herbs into a coarse powder. Add two cups of water, decoct to one cup. Strain and take warm after meals.
Note [1]: "Flower-like nebula with white depression" refers to a nebula forming on the cornea (Black Pupil). The wind-wheel (cornea) gradually rises around the periphery while the center sinks. The nebula resembles the shape of date flowers or fish scales, and the cornea may appear white or slightly yellow.
Note [2]: This condition is caused by accumulated heat in the Lung and Liver, with wind-pathogen rushing up to the brain. It is appropriate to use Zhi Mu Yin Zi.
