[1] The humerus (upper arm bone) refers to the bone located below the shoulder and above the elbow.
[2] From below the shoulder to the wrist, it is academically called the "gong" (humerus/upper arm), commonly known as the "age" (arm). This is a general term for the two major limbs of the upper body.
[3] Injuries may result from falling from vehicles or horses causing comminuted fractures, simple fractures, oblique fractures, amputations, or shattered bones. Simple fractures caused by direct impact involve fragmented bone pieces, whereas fractures caused by falls do not necessarily have fragments. Symptoms include local swelling and pain, mental agitation, and generalized numbness and coldness throughout the body.
<1> Manual reduction techniques should be employed. Trace the meridians and tendons above, below, anteriorly, and posteriorly to ensure they are aligned and smooth. Massage and press the fracture lines to restore anatomical alignment.
<2> Secure small cedar boards around the injured area and wrap them externally with white cloth.
<3> Administer Zhenggu Zijin Dan internally and apply Wanling Gao externally.
<4> If swelling does not subside, wash the affected area with Sanyu He Shang Tang.

[1] The phalanges (specifically the middle phalanx) refer to the second segment of each finger.
[2] Traumatic injuries may cause bone fragmentation and tendon contraction, preventing finger extension. By manipulating the flexed joint manually, the finger can be straightened.
[3] Wash with Sanyu He Shang Tang and apply Wanling Gao. If toxic blood accumulates under the nail fold, the nail will inevitably fall off. If a new nail grows back, its shape will likely differ from the original.
[4] If the third segment is injured, the treatment is the same as for the second segment. The nail in this context is referred to as the "zhua jia" (claw nail/fingernail).
Notes on Formulas: [1] Sanyu He Shang Tang: See section on injuries to the vertex bone.
[2] Wanling Gao: See section on injuries to the fontanelle bone.
