3. The treatment of the acquired constitution (Hou Tian) focuses on regulating Qi and Blood, while the treatment of the innate constitution (Xian Tian) is based on harmonizing Yin and Yang. The treatments for deficiency and damage of the Kidney, Liver, Heart, and Lung are listed later, whereas the treatment for Spleen deficiency and damage is the same as that for internal injury (Nei Shang).
[Note] The acquired Spleen and Stomach transform food and water into Ying and Wei Qi; therefore, the treatment method is based on Qi and Blood. The innate Kidney essence and Qi are the source of transformation; therefore, the treatment method is based on Yin and Yang. The treatment methods for the deficiency and damage of the five Zang organs are all listed subsequently, and since the treatment for Spleen deficiency and damage has already been recorded in the "Internal Injury" section, it is said to be the same as internal injury.

The base formula excludes Sheng Ma (Cimicifugae Rhizoma) and Chai Hu (Bupleuri Radix), incorporating principles from Buzhong Yiqi Tang; if further modified with Rou Gui (Cinnamomi Cortex), add Fu Zi (Aconiti Lateralis Radix Praeparata) for cold syndromes; for diarrhea, add Sheng Ma, Chai Hu, He Zi (Terminalia Chebulae Fructus), Rou Kou (Myristicae Semen), and Mu Xiang (Aucklandiae Radix).
