Chongyin (Double Gums) is caused by fetal heat accumulating in the Stomach, leading to swelling of the gum roots and unbearable pain. The treatment involves pricking the lesion with a needle, applying Yizi San (One-Character Powder), followed by administering Qingwei San (Clear the Stomach Powder), which yields miraculous effects.
[Note]
Chongyin (Double Gums) occurs because heat accumulates in the Stomach while the infant is in the womb, causing the gum roots to swell like blisters, hence the name Chongyin (Double Gums).
The treatment method is to prick it with a needle, wipe it clean with salt water, apply Yizi San (One-Character Powder) externally, and internally administer Qingwei San (Clear the Stomach Powder), after which the swelling will naturally subside.
(Yizi San [One-Character Powder]) See the entry for Xuan Yong (Hanging Abscess) for the formula.
(Qingwei San [Clear the Stomach Powder]) Sheng Di Huang (Rehmanniae Radix Recens), Dan Pi (Moutan Cortex), Huang Lian (Coptidis Rhizoma), Dang Gui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix), Sheng Ma (Cimicifugae Rhizoma), Shu Shi Gao (Calcined Gypsum). Decoct with Deng Xin Cao (Junci Medullia) as a guiding herb.
(Verse Formula)
Qingwei San (Clear the Stomach Powder) treats fumigation by Stomach Heat; it contains Sheng Di Huang (Rehmanniae Radix Recens), Huang Lian (Coptidis Rhizoma), and Dang Gui Shen (the heart of Angelicae Sinensis Radix); Dan Pi (Moutan Cortex), Sheng Ma (Cimicifugae Rhizoma), and calcined Shi Gao (Gypsum Fibrosum); when decocting, Deng Xin Cao (Junci Medullia) must be added.
E Kou (Goose Mouth) presents with white debris filling the tongue and mouth; its root lies in Heart and Spleen heat originating from the prenatal stage. Clearing heat and purging the Spleen, combined with topical application of Baoming San (Life-Preserving Powder), is indicated; if treatment is delayed until erosion occurs, it becomes difficult to cure.
[Note]
E Kou (Goose Mouth) refers to white debris growing all over the mouth and tongue, resembling the mouth of a goose.
This is due to inhaling the qi of heat and toxins from the mother's diet while in the womb, which stagnates in the Heart and Spleen meridians, thus manifesting in the mouth and tongue after birth.
The treatment method primarily uses Qingre Xiapi San (Clear Heat and Purge Spleen Powder).
Externally, dip cotton in well water to wipe the mouth, then apply Baoming San (Life-Preserving Powder); apply two or three times daily. Once the white debris recedes, peace returns.
If treatment is slightly delayed, erosion of the mouth and tongue will inevitably occur, making suckling impossible, and even if cured later, recovery will be difficult.
(Qingre Xiapi San [Clear Heat and Purge Spleen Powder]) Chao Shan Zhi (Fried Gardenia Fructus), Hui Shi Gao (Calcined Gypsum), Jiang Chao Huang Lian (Ginger-fried Coptidis Rhizoma), Sheng Di Huang (Rehmanniae Radix Recens), Huang Qin (Scutellariae Radix), Chi Fu Ling (Poria with Red Core). Decoct with Deng Xin Cao (Junci Medullia) as a guiding herb.

Tu She (Protruding Tongue) is characterized by the tongue protruding and retracting slowly; this is always caused by heat in the Heart meridian. Symptoms include red face, irritability, thirst, and scanty dark urine. Administering Xiexin Daochi Tang (Drain the Heart and Guide Out Fire Decoction) brings calmness.
[Note]

Therefore, symptoms such as red face, irritability, thirst, and dark urine appear. Xiexin Daochi Tang (Drain the Heart and Guide Out Fire Decoction) is appropriate for treatment.
