Treatment for fever caused by internal injury and Qi deficiency:
Huangqi (Radix Astragali), Danggui (Radix Angelicae Sinensis), Chaihu (Radix Bupleuri), Shengma (Rhizoma Cimicifugae), Renshen (Radix Ginseng), Baizhu (Rhizoma Atractylodis Macrocephalae), Gancao (Radix Glycyrrhizae).
Decoct in water.
Treatment for Yin deficiency:
Renshen (Radix Ginseng), Danggui (Radix Angelicae Sinensis), Zhì Huángqí (Prepared Radix Astragali), Baizhu (Rhizoma Atractylodis Macrocephalae), Báifú Líng (Poria), Shúdìhuáng (Prepared Radix Rehmanniae), Shanyao (Rhizoma Dioscoreae), Dùzhòng (Cortex Eucommiae), Niuxi (Radix Achyranthis Bidentatae), Gùzhǐ (Fructus Psoraleae), Zhīmǔ (Rhizoma Anemarrhenae), Hǔjìnggǔ (Os Tigris, Tiger Tibia Bone) [roasted with butter], Guībǎn (Plastrum Testudinis, Turtle Shell) [roasted with butter].
Prepare as pills with refined honey, take with wine.
Treatment for Yin deficiency:
Danggui (Radix Angelicae Sinensis) [use whole root, soak and wash in good wine for three days, dry and crush]; Báisháoyào (Radix Paeoniae Alba) [wash clean with warm water, crush, soak in good wine for one day, dry and stir-fry, dosage 4 liang]; Zhīmǔ (Rhizoma Anemarrhenae) [remove hairs, 4 liang, processed together with Huangbai (Cortex Phellodendri)]; Shúdìhuáng (Prepared Radix Rehmanniae) [8 liang, preferably from Huai region; 4 liang boiled with Sharen (Fructus Amomi) and Báifú Líng (Poria); place these two portions in a silk bag, boil in 2 zhan of good wine until dry, remove Sharen and Fuling, keep only Dìhuáng]; Chuānxiōng (Radix Chuanxiong) [large ones, wash clean with clear water, crush, each 4 liang]; Nóng Huángbǎi (Cortex Phellodendri) [remove bark, 8 liang total: 2 liang soaked in salt water, 2 liang in wine, 2 liang in human milk, 2 liang in honey; all dried and stir-fried until reddish].
Process the above six herbs clearly, mix them together, spread evenly to a thickness of about 3-4 fen, expose to night dew and day sun for three days and nights to absorb the essence of heaven and earth and the brilliance of the sun and moon. Grind into fine powder.
Take 1 jin 8 liang of winter honey, add half a bowl of water, refine until it forms beads when dropped into water. Add another bowl of water, bring to a boil, then mix with the herbal powder. Form pills the size of paulownia seeds. Take 80-90 pills per dose on an empty stomach with salt water; in winter, take with warm wine.

○ For Deficiency Heat add: Qínjiāo (Radix Gentianae Macrophyllae), Cháihú (Radix Bupleuri), Biējiǎ (Carapax et Plastrum Testudinis).

○ Lung Steaming (Lung Meridian Stagnant Heat): Nasal dryness add Maimendong (Tuber Ophiopogonis), Tianmendong (Tuber Asparagi), Wūméi (Fructus Mume), Zǐwǎn (Herba Asteris Tatarici).
Large Intestine Steaming (Large Intestine Meridian Stagnant Heat): Dryness of right nostril add Dàhuáng (Radix et Rhizoma Rhei), Pǎoxiāo (Natrii Sulfas).
Skin Steaming (Skin Stagnant Heat): White tongue coating add Sāngpí (Cortex Mori), Shígāo (Gypsum Fibrosum).
Flesh Steaming (Muscle Stagnant Heat): Somnolence add Mǔdānpí (Cortex Moutan).
Qi Steaming (Qi Level Stagnant Heat): Asthma and urgency, heat throughout the body add Renshen (Radix Ginseng), Shānzhīzi (Fructus Gardeniae).
○ Heart Steaming (Heart Meridian Stagnant Heat): Dry tongue add Liánhuáng (Rhizoma Coptidis), Shēngdìhuáng (Raw Radix Rehmanniae).
