Immediately wrap clothing with hands and tightly stuff it into the anus, lift the patient to untie the rope, place them in an upright and level position, pull the hair upwards, rub the neck marks, and knead the trachea round. If symptoms such as coldness of the feet, shoulders, hands, feet, and whole body occur:

Quickly invert the drowning person to drain the water. Use one cow; let the patient lie horizontally with their abdomen against the cow's back, lead the cow slowly to walk, causing the patient to vomit the water from their stomach. Rub the teeth with old ginger to restore consciousness; if the jaw is clenched, pry it open, place a chopstick horizontally between the teeth to allow water to flow out. If no cow is available, cover a pot upside down on the ground, align the navel of the drowning person with the center of the pot's bottom, and have them lie prone. If a lamp is originally present, use it; strictly avoid using fire light. Simply bite their heel vigorously, or bite the big toe and spit towards their face; or blow powder of *Gleditsiae Sinensis Fructus* (Saponin) into the nose; sneezing will restore consciousness.

For those poisoned by Gu poison (蛊毒), if tasting Alum (白矾) does not feel astringent, and eating black beans does not taste fishy, this indicates poisoning. Decoct Pomegranate Peel (石榴皮) juice thickly and drink it, or dissolve half a qian of Chalcanthite (胆矾) in hot tea.

For salt brine poisoning, drinking raw tofu slurry can detoxify it even if forced.

For poisoning from various mushrooms and fungi, or insects entering the abdomen, drink a mixture of yellow earth and water.

Mung Bean Soup and Licorice Root Soup can detoxify all poisons.

Mix Sesame Oil with Honey, add Malt Sugar (饴糖), and take together.

For snake bites, immediately bind above and below the wound to prevent the spread of toxins, then soak the injured part in a manure pit. Eat garlic and drink alcohol until full to prevent the toxin from attacking the heart; alternatively, take equal parts of Alum (矾石) and Licorice Root (甘草) with cold water, 2-3 qian; further crush garlic and apply it to the affected area, adding moxa cone moxibustion. For centipede bites, place a large spider on the wound to absorb the toxin, then throw the spider into water to expel the toxin and save its life. Another prescription: Apply fresh chicken blood. Another method: Wash with salt water, apply chicken saliva or feces.

For gecko bites, use mulberry wood ash, boil in water for several minutes, filter the concentrated juice, mix with Alum powder, and apply.

For scorpion stings, take equal parts of Alum (白矾) and Pinellia Tuber (半夏), mix with vinegar, and apply (*Wai Tai Mi Yao* states: When encountering any venomous sting, do not harbor malicious thoughts towards...).

For mad dog bites, urgently take half a Strychnos Nux-vomica (番木鳖), crush it, take seven Mylabris (斑蝥), remove heads, wings, and legs; if more than a day has passed, add one more, along with a pinch of glutinous rice... extract... Licorice Root... blood, hole... apply to the affected area.
