鸡子清调大黄末涂之;炒黄柏末亦可;一法∶以冷烧酒浇淋,甚妙。

Apply a paste made by mixing *Radix Rheae Palmatae* (Dahuang, 大黄) powder with egg white to the affected area; powdered *Cortex Phellodendri Amurensis* (Huangbai, 黄柏) that has been stir-fried is also effective. Another method: pour cooled distilled liquor over the wound, which is very excellent.
Apply finely ground *Os Sepiae* (Haipiaoxiao, 海螵蛸) to the wound to stop bleeding immediately; applying powder from ancient smelted ore (Kuangdengshi, 矿锻石) is also good. For traumatic bleeding caused by metal weapons (Jinchuang, 金疮) that does not stop, stir-fry *Ephemeroptera Bombyx* (Yuancan'e, 原蚕蛾), grind into powder, and apply externally.
For fish bones stuck in the throat, eating olives will cause them to pass down. If fresh olives are unavailable, use olive pits ground in water for drinking (Olive wood is used for making oars; when fish touch it, they die, demonstrating the principle of mutual antagonism among substances). For chicken bones stuck in the throat, mash wild ramie root (*Radix Boehmeriae Niveae*, Yezhu Gen, 野苎根) until soft, take an amount the size of a longan fruit, and swallow it dissolved in chicken broth. If it is a fish bone, swallow it dissolved in fish broth. For hard pig bones, pull one leg of a dog to collect its saliva, and slowly swallow it. Alternatively, dissolve *Borax* (Pengsha, 硼砂) or well-water drawn at dawn (Jinghua Shui, 井华水) and swallow. Or, decoct *Herba Clematidis* (Weilingxian, 威灵仙) and swallow (sugar can be added). Or, decoct rooster combs and swallow. (Methods for treating hard objects stuck in the throat can be inferred analogously; for example, cormorant and otter paws treat fish bones; magnetite treats needle ingestion; hair ash treats hair ingestion; tiger and dog treat bone ingestion; each utilizes the principle of treating like with like).
However, consuming more fatty meat will allow the object to pass naturally with the stool. For those who have swallowed needles, boil broad beans and eat them together with Chinese chives; the needle and vegetables will pass naturally with the stool. For those who accidentally swallowed copper, eating water chestnut (*Rhizoma Nelumbinis Nuciferae*, Biji, 荸荠) and arrowhead (*Rhizoma Sagittariae Sagittifoliae*, Cigu, 慈菇) will dissolve it.
Take human hair (Luansha, 乱发), burn it to ash, mix with warm water, and ingest one qian (approx. 3-5 grams).
Intoxicate the patient. While sleeping, blow powder of *Fructus Gleditsiae Sinensis* (Zaojiao, 皂角) into the nostrils. Once sneezing is thoroughly induced, the wound will heal spontaneously.
Insert a paper wick into the nose to induce sneezing, which will stop the bleeding.
Soak a paper wick in blood from a rooster comb, dip it in castor oil, and ignite it for fumigation. Another method: apply raw *Spora Puerariae* (Sheng Puhuang, 生蒲黄) to the area, or add powdered dried ginger (Ganjiang, 干姜).
For cases of tonsillitis (Rume, 乳蛾) where even liquids cannot be swallowed, first puncture the affected area with powder of *Fructus Gleditsiae Sinensis*. Then, extract juice from *Radix Achyranthis Bidentatae* (Du Niuxi, 杜牛膝), mix with vinegar, hold in the mouth, and swallow. Another method: crush mugwort leaves (*Folium Artemisiae Argyi*, Aiye, 艾叶) to extract juice and hold it in the mouth, which is effective.
In emergencies, prick the skin on the finger near the nail bed by about one-and-a-half fen (approx. 0.5 cm) to bleed, which brings immediate relief. However, one should first stroke downwards from both arms to gather the "evil blood" at the fingertips before pricking.
Burn human hair to ash while preserving its medicinal properties, grind finely, and take with water. It can also be blown into the nostrils. Alternatively, take *Rhizoma Bletillae Stratae* (Baiji, 白芨) powder mixed with freshly drawn water. Or, soak dozens of layers of paper in water, wet them, and insert them into both nostrils.
