Hemorrhoids: Take Puhuang (Corydalis Rhizoma) with water, administered as a "Fangcunbi" (a square-inch measure of powder), three times daily; this is effective. Additionally, prepare a soup from Sang'er (Auricularia auricula-judae), and consume it to fullness on an empty stomach for three consecutive days; this is beneficial.
For hemorrhoidal bleeding and postpartum metrorrhagia (prolonged vaginal bleeding after childbirth), take 1 liang of Hao Fanshi (Alumen) and 1 liang of Fuzi (Aconiti Lateralis Radix Praeparata). Grind them into fine powder, mix with white honey to form pills the size of Sophora seeds (Wuzi). Take two pills with wine, three times daily.
For chronic hemorrhoids lasting ten years, apply Xiongdan (Ursi Fel) until healed. No other formula compares to this divine efficacy.
Another prescription: Collect many Huai Zi (Sophorae Fructus) on the seventh day of the seventh lunar month. Cook thoroughly, pound into a paste, and extract the juice. Place in a copper vessel, cover tightly with multiple layers of cotton silk, and expose to sunlight on the high gate of the residence for more than twenty days. Decoct until it forms pills the size of mouse droppings. Insert into the anus, three times daily. This also treats various sores.
Another prescription: For hemorrhoidal bleeding and postpartum metrorrhagia, frequently consuming Zhu Ye (Bambusae Folium) and soups made from it is highly beneficial.
Another prescription: Powder Hu Tou (Tigris Caput) and Xi Jiao (Rhinocerotis Cornu). Take an amount equivalent to a chicken egg, mix with Zhizhi (Suyou, lard that has not been boiled with water, equivalent to a chicken egg size). Apply to the sore until healed.
For the five types of hemorrhoids, decoct Huaigen (Sophorae Radix) and wash the affected area.
Another prescription: Decoct Taogen (Persicae Radix) and wash the affected area.
For hemorrhoids discharging pus and blood with worms, and fistulas forming nearby, take one dan (a unit of weight) of Huaibai Pi (Stemonae Radix or similar bark, contextually likely Phellodendri Cortex or similar, but literally "White Bark of Huai"). Chop finely, place in a cauldron, and boil until the flavor is fully extracted. Pour into a large basin. Adjust temperature to be lukewarm. Use for prolonged washing.
For hemorrhoidal bleeding, moxa-heat Jizhong (GV9) for 100 moxa cones.
For hemorrhoids with bleeding and fecal incontinence, moxa-heat Huiqi (GV1) for 100 moxa cones. The acupoint is located above the coccyx.
For rectal prolapse, take 1 jin of Niwei (Adenophorae Radix). Burn it in a vessel and fumigate the perineal area by sitting over it; the rectum will retract immediately.
For rectal prolapse, take 2 liang of Puhuang (Corydalis Pollen). Mix with lard and apply to the anus. Insertion leads to recovery within two or three applications.
For intestinal prolapse accompanying rectal eversion, extract starch from Sheng Gualougen (Trichosanthis Radix). Make a paste with lard, apply warm, and manually press gently; the intestine will spontaneously retract.
For cold-type dysentery causing rectal prolapse, take one Zhi Shi (Aurantii Fructus Immaturus). Grind on a stone until smooth, drill a hole for a handle, coat with honey, and roast until warm. Apply as a hot compress (fire-moxa/ironing technique). Replace when cool. Continue until retraction occurs.
Another prescription: Insert Tiejing Fen (Iron Essence Powder) into the anus and press inward; this cures the condition.
Another prescription: Take 3 jin of Shengtie (Ferrum). Boil in 1 dou (a unit of volume) of water until reduced to 5 sheng. Remove the iron. Wash the affected area with the decoction, twice daily.
For rectal prolapse caused by cold, moxa-heat Shenque (CV8) according to the patient's age in moxa cones. Also moxa-heat Henggu (KI11) for 100 moxa cones.
Another prescription: Moxa-heat Weitui (GV1) for 7 moxa cones. This refers to the tip of the coccyx.
