[Three Prescriptions, One Discussion]
Select the finest quality mica (Yunmu), which is white and lustrous. Break it into fine pieces, wash it thoroughly with water, strain it out, and steam it for one day and one night, then remove it. Wash it again thoroughly as before. Drain the water until dry. Generally, mix one sheng of mica with three sheng of salt and one jin of saltpeter (Niter), and pound them together. Pound from morning until dusk. Take a small amount in the palm of your hand and grind it until no luster is visible; this indicates it is "cooked" (processed). Remove it and place it in a basin or urn. Soak it in water to allow integration, lasting about the time it takes to cook a meal. Let it settle, then slowly pour off the clear water on top until completely removed. Add fresh water as before. Repeat this process of changing water thirty times until the water tastes plain like drinking water, then strain it out. This method is exactly the same as grinding powder and clarifying to obtain the sediment. Then take the mica sediment, slowly place it in a silk bag, and filter it onto a single layer of cloth. Sun-dry it until complete. Mica (Yunmu) has a sweet taste and neutral nature, and is non-toxic. It treats dead muscle tissue (Si Ji), wind-stroke with alternating cold and heat, sensations resembling seasickness, expels evil qi, calms the five zang organs, benefits essence and spirit, brightens the eyes, directs qi downward, strengthens muscles, reconnects severed tissues, tonifies the middle jiao, treats five exhaustions and seven injuries, deficiency with shortness of breath, and stops diarrhea. Long-term use makes the body light and extends life, strengthens sinews and vessels, fills the marrow, enables bearing heavy loads, prevents fatigue when climbing mountains, causes fallen teeth to regrow, eliminates scars, gives luster to the face, prevents aging, resists cold and heat, elevates aspirations to the level of immortals. This is not an ancient method, but one recently revealed by a salt-selling woman from the East Sea. This woman is three hundred years old yet looks like a young maiden who has just reached adulthood, often carrying herself a basket of salt weighing over five hundred jin. There are numerous cases achieving such effects, verifying its miraculous power.
Another prescription:
Break mica thinly, wash it clean, drain excess water, and grind it ten thousand times in a mortar made of sandstone. Wash with water, clarify, and collect the sediment. Upon seeing this method, cherish and protect it, cultivate and consume it. Do not leak this secret, do not leak this secret.
For those who experience constipation or blockage after consuming mica, administer juice from pickled turnips (Wujing Zu) to resolve the blockage.
Methods for using mica powder:
For wind-heat causing sweating and chest oppression, bathe with water mixed with mica powder. No more than two times will cure it.
For sweating due to exhaustion, massage the area with mica powder to stop it. Mix three square-cun spoonsful with rice porridge and ingest.
For gan dampness ulcers and lunar eclipse sores, mix three square-cun spoonsful with rice porridge and ingest. Insert one qian-bi spoonful into the lower orifice until cured.
To treat prolapse (Xia Tuo), mix three square-cun spoonsful with rice porridge and ingest for seven days. Avoid blood products, five pungent spices (Wu Xin), sexual intercourse, and strenuous labor.

For leukorrhea, ingest three square-cun spoonsful, three to five doses until cured.
For traumatic wounds (Jin Chuang) and all malignant sores, apply mica powder externally until healed.
This also applies to carbuncles, scabies, and tinea.
For wind-leprosy (Feng Lai), ingest three square-cun spoonsful until cured.
For hemorrhoids, ingest three square-cun spoonsful. Avoid sexual intercourse, blood products, and greasy foods.
For strangury (Lin Bing), ingest three square-cun spoonsful.
Additionally, for all malignant sores, mix mica powder with lard and apply topically.
For head sores and bald tinea, wash away scabs with vinegar and wine, then apply mica powder. Ingest three square-cun spoonsful with water for one hundred days, observing the same prohibitions as above.
Discussion states: When using mica powder to treat various diseases, always mix it with rice porridge for ingestion. Avoid sexual intercourse, five pungent spices, greasy foods, blood products, and labor. If mica is obtained, ingesting one sheng with water allows one to live long and become an immortal.
Mica Water Prescription for Eliminating Ten Thousand Diseases and Extending Life to Immortality:
Mica (Yunmu) (twenty jin, finely broken) Saltpeter (Mangxiao) (ten jin) Dew (Lu Shui) (one dan) Cliff Honey (Ya Mi) (two jin)
Take the first four ingredients. First, take eight dou of dew and boil it into hot water. Use half to wash the mica twice, straining it out. Warm the mica with two dou of remaining dew. Add saltpeter to dissolve it, and place it in a wooden vessel. After adding the mica, leave it for three periods of seven days (21 days), then remove and dry it. Soak it in water to soften the coarse skin, and prepare a bag. Place the mica in the bag, tie the mouth tightly. Two people knead it continuously from Yin hour to Wu hour. Remove it, sift it through fine silk to make powder. The residue that does not pass through is placed back in the bag and kneaded as before, then sifted. The total yield is approximately five jin. Mix with cliff honey and stir until porridge-like. Place in a thin-waxed container, seal the mouth with lacquer, and bury it in the north shade of the house at a depth of six or seven chi, compacting the soil flat. After one hundred and twenty days, it turns into liquid. In the morning, mix one he of warm water with one he of mica, face east, and ingest. Take three times daily. The temperature of the water can be adjusted to preference. After ten days, urine may turn yellow (Note: Text says "small box rice yellow", likely a textual corruption for urine color or specific symptom); this clears latent qi and wind initially. After twenty days, cold accumulations in the abdomen dissipate. After thirty days, decayed teeth fall out and new ones grow. After forty days, one is immune to wind and cold. After fifty days, all diseases heal, and complexion improves daily. Long-term continuous use leads to longevity and immortality.
