In *Ling Shu* (Spiritual Pivot), the Yellow Emperor asked: What causes the drooping and trembling of the eyelids (Mu Qiong)? Qibo replied: If Stomach Qi is not solid, all vessels become empty. When all vessels are empty, the tendons and vessels become lax and slack. When tendons and vessels are lax and slack, and sexual intercourse or exertion occurs, Qi cannot recover, thus causing drooping eyelids. Based on the location, tonify the space between the muscles. He also said: What causes shivering and cold tremors? Qibo replied: Cold pathogen lodges in the skin, Yin Qi becomes excessive, and Yang Qi becomes deficient, thus causing shivering and cold tremors. Tonify all Yang meridians.
