Dangshen (Codonopsis Radix, boiled with Guiyuanrou [Litchi Arillus]) Dushudi (Rehmanniae Radix Praeparata) (each 1 liang) Zhi Fuzi (Aconiti Lateralis Radix Praeparata) Paojiang (Zingiberis Rhizoma Praeparatum) (each 1 qian) Zhi Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma, honey-fried) (8 fen) Dangguishen (Angelicae Sinensis Radix)

(Treats symptoms where Spleen deficiency fails to control blood. This includes conditions arising from worry, thought, depression, anger, accumulated fatigue, or the misuse of attacking and dispersing drugs that damage Spleen Yin, leading to deficiency of Middle Qi. Symptoms include unsettled Soul and Spirit, continuous bleeding from the bowels, or uterine bleeding and leukorrhea without heat in women. When accompanied by vomiting and nausea, it is a particularly critical sign; this formula should be used immediately. By tonifying Spleen Qi alone, the controlling function becomes solid, and blood returns to its source. This is a modified formula of Guipi Tang (Spleen-Restoring Decoction), with miraculous efficacy. If this condition occurs and cold-natured herbs are used again, Stomach Qi will surely fail, leading to immediate death.)
