First, summerheat is contracted followed by wind. There is profuse sweating like rain, and aversion to cold cannot be resolved. Initially, Guizhi Tang (Cinnamon Twig Decoction) was administered for one dose. The Jun (Monarch) herb, Guizhi (Cinnamon Twig), was used in the amount of two liang, but after consuming the entire decoction, there was no effect. On the following day, eight liang of Guizhi were used; half a dose cured the condition.
Patient Shi, Male, seven years old. Date: June 12, Guihai Year. The pulse on the right hand is excessively surging and large. It is proposed to clear both Ying (Nutritive) and Wei (Defensive) levels simultaneously.

The previous condition has healed, but the Spleen remains weak. The treatment focuses on soothing and tonifying the Middle Jiao.
Patient Tian, fourteen years old. Summerwarmth was incorrectly treated with purgatives, resulting in excessive use of cold-natured herbs. After severe diarrhea, the gate of retention failed to hold, leading to immediate evacuation upon eating or drinking, with undigested food appearing unchanged in the stool. The pulse is wiry. Tao Hua Tang (Peach Blossom Decoction) is prescribed in a porridge form.
