Discussion states: The disease of "Zheng" (mass), although having a fixed shape and location, cannot be moved by pushing; the disease of "Pi" (lump), is located obliquely in the hypochondrium, and water sounds can be heard upon pressing. These diseases are all caused by the retention and stagnation of food and drink. If not treated immediately, they will gradually increase, knotting firmly, with pathogenic qi becoming stronger day by day, causing the body's righteous qi to weaken. Continuing for years without cessation, it may even lead to emaciation of the body and distension of the abdomen, named "Chronic Accumulation Zheng Pi" (Long-standing accumulation masses and lumps).
To treat Chronic Accumulation Zheng Pi, as well as symptoms caused by imbalance of cold and heat such as phlegm reversal, chest fullness, stabbing pain in the heart and abdomen, wheezing and chest distension, abdominal distension, diarrhea, weakness, and loss of appetite, use the Xiaoji Wan (Eliminate Accumulation Pill) formula.
Ingredients: Dai Zhe Shi (Hematite, calcined in vinegar seven times and ground), Meng Shi (Calamine, ground, each 1 liang), Guizhi (Cinnamon Twig, coarse bark removed), Baifuling (Poria, black skin removed), Qingjupi (Green Tangerine Peel, soaked in water, white pith removed, dried), Badou (Croton Seed, husk, heart, and membrane removed, oil pressed out, each half liang), Jingsanleng (Burreed Tuber, roasted and crushed), Lianshirou (Melia Fruit Flesh, each 1 fen), Sha (Realgar, ground, 3 fen).
The above nine ingredients are crushed, ground into fine powder, and mixed evenly. They are combined with a paste made from boiling flour in wine to form pills the size of Sophora seeds. Each dose consists of 2 to 3 pills, taken with Muxiang Tang (Aucklandia Decoction). Dosage should be adjusted according to deficiency or excess.
To treat chronic accumulation stagnation forming masses, women's blood Pi and blood clots, as well as postpartum failure of lochia discharge causing "child pillow" stabbing pain, and children's milk Pi, use Bijin Wan (Golden Comparison Pill) formula. Regular use benefits the chest and diaphragm, removes food stagnation.
Ingredients: Moyao (Myrrh, ground, 1 qian), Wulingzhi (Trogopterus Feces, ground, half liang), Sha (Realgar, ground), Xuxiang (Frankincense, ground, each 1.5 qian), Badou (Croton Seed, 100 grains, husk, heart, and membrane removed, cooked until soft without releasing oil).
The above seven ingredients are ground together into a fine powder. Take ten red dates, remove the pits, and insert the Croton paste into the dates. Tie them with thread and roast slowly over low fire until cooked. Remove the thread, crush them, and mix evenly with the previous powder. Knead into a mass and form pills the size of mung beans. For adults with solid viscera, take 5 pills; for those with deficiency, take 3 pills. For children, make them the size of mustard seeds: 3 pills for one year old, 7 pills for five to seven years old, and 10 pills for ten years old. To expel accumulated pathogens, take with cold decoction of burnt soap pods; to benefit the chest and diaphragm, chew one date thoroughly, wrap the medicine in it, and swallow dry without chewing the medicine. Take before bed. For acute conditions, time does not matter.
To treat chronic accumulation Pi Qi, disharmony of the chest and heart, vomiting with phlegm reversal, and distending pain in the hypochondrium, use Rushen Wan (Like God Pill) formula.
Ingredients: Wutou (Aconite Root, skin and navel removed), Ganjiang (Dried Ginger), Guizhi (Cinnamon Twig, coarse bark removed, each 1 liang, these three first ground together into powder), Sha (Realgar, separately ground, half liang), Badou (Croton Seed, half liang).
The above six ingredients are mixed and ground evenly. Take the flesh of steamed dates to bind into a mass, wrap thickly in wet paper, and seal with salt mud. Dry in shade for three days, then sun-dry. Burn in a pit in the ground with three jin of fire. When the fire burns down by half, remove and check hardness/softness, then grind finely to form pills the size of small beans. Take 3 to 5 pills each time with Mugua Tang (Chaenomeles Decoction), at any time.
To treat chronic accumulation of cold qi attacking the heart and abdomen causing pain, phlegm Pi with vomiting and reversal, abdominal distension with loss of appetite, emaciated skin and muscles, soreness and pain in waist and knees, dysentery and diarrhea, malaria, intestinal wind, and women's long-standing cold in the Blood Sea leading to infertility, use Chenjupi Jian Wan (Aged Tangerine Peel Decoction Pill) formula.
Ingredients: Chenjupi (Aged Tangerine Peel, soaked in water, white pith removed, dried, 15 liang, separately ground into powder), Bajitian (Morinda Root, heart removed), Shihu (Dendrobium Stem, roots removed), Niuxi (Achyranthes Root, soaked in wine, cut and dried), Rongshong (Cistanche Stem, soaked in wine, cut and dried), Lurong (Deer Antler, hair removed, roasted in wine), Tusizi (Dodder Seed, soaked in wine for three days, separately ground and dried), Duzhong (Eucommia Bark, coarse bark removed, roasted and crushed), Yangqishi (Actinolite, soaked in wine and ground to powder), Houpo (Magnolia Bark, coarse bark removed, roasted with ginger juice), Fuzi (Prepared Aconite Child, cracked, skin and navel removed), Wuzhuyu (Evodia Fruit, washed in water, dried and stir-fried), Danggui (Angelica Sinensis, cut and dried), Ganjiang (Dried Ginger, prepared), Jingsanleng (Burreed Tuber, roasted and crushed), Bixie (Dioscorea Hypoglauca Rhizome, each 3 liang), Gancao (Licorice Root, roasted and crushed, 1 liang).
The above seventeen ingredients are ground into powder. First, take five bowls of good wine and decoct the Tangerine Peel powder in a silver or ceramic vessel until it resembles maltose. Add the other medicines, stir evenly, and pound 300-500 times. If slightly dry, add a little more wine and form pills the size of small beans. Take 20 to 30 pills each time with warm wine on an empty stomach; salt water is also acceptable.
To treat chronic accumulation in the viscera, cold Qi masses and痞 (fullness), and loss of appetite, use Chenxiang Sanleng Jian Wan (Agarwood and Burreed Decoction Pill) formula.
Ingredients: Chenxiang (Aquilaria Wood, crushed), Renshen (Ginseng Root, each 1 liang), Jingsanleng (Burreed Tuber, 3 liang, ground into powder, use five sheng of aged millet vinegar), Sha (Realgar, 3 fen, finely ground and added to vinegar to dissolve).
The above four ingredients: Grind three ingredients into powder, add Sanleng and Sha to the vinegar decoction. Mix evenly to form a mass. If there is remaining liquid, boil slowly on fire while pounding, about 1,000 times. Form pills the size of Sophora seeds. Take 30 pills each time before meals with rice drink. Women take with vinegar water, twice a day.
To treat chronic accumulation Zheng masses, abdominal distension and fullness, chest diaphragm discomfort, phlegm-solidity and stomach distension, use Sha Wan (Realgar Pill) formula.
Ingredients: Sha (Realgar, high quality, 2 qian, ground), Yelangdu (Stemona Root, crushed, stir-fried with vinegar until dry), Yuanhua (Genkwa Flower, soaked in vinegar overnight, stir-fried until dry), Ganqi (Dried Lacquer, stir-fried until smoke appears), Biejia (Softshell Turtle Shell, skirt removed, vinegar-roasted, each 1 liang), Liuhuang (Sulfur, high quality, 1 fen, ground to powder), Badou (Croton Seed, 14 grains, husk, heart, and membrane removed, boiled in one sheng of good vinegar until purple).
The above seven ingredients are crushed and ground into powder, mixed evenly. Boil flour paste to form pills the size of peas. Take 3 pills each time after meals and before bed with warm Ginger Water.
To treat long-standing accumulation of Qi and Zheng Pi, use Sanleng Wan (Burreed Pill) formula.
Ingredients: Jingsanleng (Burreed Tuber, roasted and crushed), Jizhao Sanleng (Chicken-claw Burreed Tuber, roasted and crushed), Chenjupi (Aged Tangerine Peel, soaked in water, white pith removed, dried), Qingjupi (Green Tangerine Peel, soaked in water, white pith removed, dried), Badou (Croton Seed, husk, heart, and membrane removed, oil pressed out), Shisanleng (Stone Burreed Tuber, roasted and crushed, each 5 liang), Binglang (Areca Seed, 10.5 grains, half raw, half roasted and crushed), RouDoukou (Nutmeg, 10 grains, shell removed, soaked in vinegar for two nights), Dingxiang (Clove), Yizhiren (Alpinia Oxyphylla Fruit, shell removed).
The above twelve ingredients are crushed and ground into powder. Use vinegar-boiled flour paste to form pills the size of Sophora seeds. Take 3 pills each time. For Qi masses in the center of the chest, take with Wuzhuyu Tang (Evodia Decoction); for left/right Qi masses, take with Muxiang Tang (Aucklandia Decoction); for organ-specific Qi masses, take with Huixiangzi Tang (Fennel Seed Decoction).
To treat chronic accumulation Food Pi, intermittent heart and abdominal pain, chest discomfort, phlegm reversal and nausea, visceral dysfunction, loss of appetite, or bloody dysentery with tenesmus, to disperse evil Qi and expel stagnation, use Dingxiang Wan (Clove Pill) formula.
Ingredients: Dingxiang (Clove), Muxiang (Aucklandia Root), Guizhi (Cinnamon Twig, coarse bark removed), Awei (Asafoetida, wrapped in dough, roasted, dough removed, ground), Shexiang (Musk, ground), Liuhuang (Sulfur, ground), Shuiyin (Mercury, these two formed sand-like grains in a cup), Sha (Realgar, ground and passed through water), Fen Shuang (White Lead Powder, ground), Fen Ru (Lead White, ground, each 1 fen), Badou (Croton Seed, husk, heart, and membrane removed, ground to take the霜/residue, 4 qian).
The above eleven ingredients: Grind three ingredients into powder, mix evenly with the other eight. Dissolve Ban Zhi Xiang (Benzoin Resin, half liang) in wine, filter, add a little honey, and boil together in a double boiler to form a mass. Form pills the size of Sophora seeds as needed. Take 3 to 5 pills each time before bed with Ginger and Jujube Decoction. Adjust dosage based on deficiency/excess. The goal is to expel accumulated evil substances.
To treat long-standing accumulation of Qi in men and women, dissipating Zheng masses, taking from deficiency-type accumulation Pi, use Mengshi Wan (Calamine Pill) formula.
Ingredients: Mengshi (Calamine, half liang, green color, used raw, ground to fine powder), Sha (Realgar, soaked in vinegar, settled to remove sand), Dingxiang (Clove), Guizhi (Cinnamon Twig, coarse bark removed), Ganjiang (Dried Ginger, prepared, each 2 liang), Muxiang (Aucklandia Root), Jingsanleng (Burreed Tuber, roasted and crushed), Ezhu (Curcuma Rhizome, roasted and crushed), Yuanhua (Genkwa Flower, soaked in vinegar overnight, stir-fried until scorched), Zhuya Zaojia (Zanthoxylum Fruit Pod, skin removed, roasted black), Binglang (Areca Seed, roasted, crushed to powder), Roudoukou Ren (Nutmeg Kernel, each 1 liang), Baidoukou Ren (Cardamom Kernel), Qingjupi (Green Tangerine Peel, soaked in water, white pith removed, dried), Mo (Inkstick, burned to 80% maturity, each half liang), Badou (Croton Seed, 1.5 liang, husk, heart, and membrane removed, oil completely pressed out), Dahuang (Rhubarb Root, 1.5 liang, half raw, half roasted, half stir-fried until scorched), Hujiao (Pepper), Fen Shuang (White Lead Powder, finely ground, each half fen).
The above nineteen ingredients are each crushed and ground into powder. Soak Sha (Realgar) in three sheng of vinegar in a silver/ceramic vessel, boil with medium-low fire for twenty boils. Then add Badou (Croton Seed), boil for five to seven boils. Then add Mengshi and Jingsanleng powders, boil for three to five boils. Then take two liang of white flour, mix with half sheng of unadulterated wine into the medicine, boil for one to two boils. Then add Dahuang powder, boil for two to three boils.
