Commentary states: Rushi (Mineral drugs, mostly silicates) originally possess a hot and fierce nature. If users fail to adjust properly or maintain irregular eating habits, heat toxins may erupt without a specific outlet, leading to acute carbuncles, back sores (Fabei), intestinal abscesses, or the discharge of pasty urine. These conditions are difficult to treat comprehensively. Occasionally, even those who have never taken Rushi may experience similar ulceration and pus discharge due to long-term accumulation of heat toxins in the Zang-Fu organs. Alternatively, this may stem from inheriting the mineral qi during fetal development. The treatment method should first employ purgative and draining agents to neutralize the toxin, followed by external application therapies.
