Discourse states: When a typhoid disease (Shanghan) transforms into dysentery with pus and blood, it is because after the primary illness has healed, heat-toxin (Re Du) has not dissipated. It takes advantage of the deficiency to invade the stomach and intestines, where it struggles with body fluids (Jin Ye), resulting in dysentery with pus and blood. If the toxic qi (Du Wa) is severe, there will be high fever and abdominal pain; if damp-toxin (Shi Du) is added, the discharge will resemble fish brains or rotten meat. Additionally, when the pathogenic factors of typhoid have not resolved, and Shaoyin disease presents with dysentery and bloody stools, this is also due to the struggle between dampness and heat.
