Commentary states: All meridians adhere to the muscles, and all sinews attach to the bones. The human body has three hundred and sixty-five bones, which are connected, intertwined, and firmly secured; thus, the hands can grasp, and the feet can walk. All limb movements follow this structural law without exception. If in a sudden moment, one falls, trips, suffers fractures, or sprains, the resulting injuries are unpredictable and cannot be exhaustively listed. Investigating their treatments, mild cases require reducing swelling and relieving spasms, while severe cases require reconnecting sinews and knitting bones, each having its specific formulas.
Commentary states: For injuries caused by falls resulting in swelling, pain, and trauma, mild cases can be treated with external applications, while severe cases require internal regulation to guide out blood stasis and nourish muscles. Treatment should be based on the depth of the injury.
