Discussion: Cunbai Chong (Taenia solium, pork tapeworm) is one of the Nine Worms. Its shape resembles a gourd seed with a silk edge. It arises because of deficiency in Zang-Fu Qi, with Cold, Wind, and Dampness lurking in the intestines and stomach. Additionally, a preference for eating raw meat and dried meat leads to its proliferation and mutation, making it difficult to eradicate. Some say it is caused by eating beef and drinking white wine; this is only one aspect, and not all cases are due to this.
Formula for Mieseng Wan (Lead Monoxide Pill) to treat Cunbai Chong:
Mieseng (Galena, 1 liang), Liuhuang (Sulfur, ground), Muxiang (Aucklandiae Radix, 0.5 liang each), Fuzi (Prepared Aconite Root, 1 piece, raw, skin and umbilicus removed, separately ground into powder).
Take the above four ingredients. First, decoct the Fuzi powder in 1 sheng of strong vinegar until it forms a paste. Then mix in the other three medicines and form pills the size of mung beans. Take 20 pills per dose, on an empty stomach before evening meal, with cold tea. Within a few doses, the worms will dissolve into water, permanently removing the root cause.
Formula for Xiangfu Wan to treat Hulu Chong (Gourd Worm):
Muxiang (Aucklandiae Radix, powdered, 1 fen), Fuzi (Raw Aconite Root, skin and umbilicus removed, powdered), Liuhuang (Sulfur, ground, 0.5 liang each).
Take the above three ingredients. First, take 0.5 liang of Mieseng powder, boil with vinegar to form a paste. Then add the powders of the three medicines, mix well, and form pills the size of adzuki beans. Take 15 pills per dose, before meals with warm wine.
