论曰小儿初生，未满七日，面赤喘促，啼声不出，乳哺艰难，名为撮口，盖因胎中受风
挟热，始生之时，气血未定，洗浴当风， 抱失宜遂成斯疾，最为急切，宜速治之。
治小儿初生，胎热撮口。麝香散方
麝香（研） 丹砂（研各一分） 蛇蜕皮（一尺炙令赤为末）
上三味，细研如粉，每用半字匕，津唾调涂儿唇上，日五七次。
治小儿初生撮口，不收乳。方
蜈蚣（一条赤足者）
上一味，去足炙微黄，研为细末，以乳汁一合，调半钱匕，分三四服，温灌之。
治初生小儿撮口，不收乳饮。乌蛇散方
乌蛇（酒浸去皮骨炙令黄熟半两） 麝香（一分研去筋膜）
上二味，将乌蛇捣罗为末，同麝香再研匀，每服半钱，煎荆芥汤调灌之。

晚蚕蛾（二枚炙令黄）
上一味，研为末蜜和，涂儿口唇内。

上四味，粗捣筛，每服一钱匕，水一小盏，入芦根半分，煎取五分，去滓放温，徐徐服

上二味，每服牛黄一字匕，用淡竹沥调下，一二岁儿服之。三四岁儿。每服半钱，日三

Centipede (one piece, with red feet)
Take the single ingredient, remove the feet, roast lightly until slightly yellow, and grind into a fine powder. Mix half a "qian" spoonful of the powder with one "he" of milk. Divide into three or four doses and administer warm.
To treat Cuokou in newborns who cannot suckle milk or drink water. Black Snake Powder Formula (Wushe San)
Black Rat Snake (soaked in wine, skin and bones removed, roasted until yellow and cooked, 0.5 liang) Musk (1 fen, ground, removing fascia)
The above two ingredients: crush the black rat snake and sieve it into powder, then mix thoroughly with the ground musk. Take 0.5 qian per dose, decoct Schizonepeta Decoction (Jingjie Tang), mix, and administer.
To treat Cuokou and trismus (lockjaw) in infants. Formula
Late Silkworm Moth (two pieces, roasted until yellow)
Grind the single ingredient into powder, mix with honey, and apply to the inside of the infant's mouth and lips.
To treat Cuokou in newborns. Uncaria Decoction (Gouteng Tang)
Uncaria (Gouteng) Bupleurum (Shengma) Scutellaria (Huangqin, remove black heart, each 0.5 liang) Dung Beetle (Kuanglang, two pieces, remove wings and feet, lightly stir-fried)
The above four ingredients are coarsely crushed and sifted. Take one "qian" spoonful per dose, add one small cup of water and half a "fen" of Reed Rhizome (Lugen). Decoct until five parts remain. Strain, let cool to warm, and administer slowly. Adjust dosage according to the infant's size.
To treat Cuokou with cyanotic lips caused by wind invasion after umbilical cord cutting. Baosheng Powder Formula
Centipede (one piece, red-footed, roasted until dry) Aconite Tip (Wutou jian, six pieces, raw use) Musk (ground, one "zi")
Except for the musk, grind the other ingredients into powder and mix extremely finely. Take half a "zi" spoonful per dose, decoct Silver Flower and Mint Decoction (Jinyin Bohe Tang), and administer with the medicine.
To treat Cuokou in infants. Formula
Red-footed Centipede (one piece) Cocklebur Fruit (Jigangzi/Cang'erzi, five pieces)
Burn the above two ingredients into ash, mix with rice paste to form pills the size of hemp seeds. Take three to five pills per dose, administered with milk.
To treat Umbilical Wind Cuokou in infants. Cinnabar Pill Formula (Dansha Wan)
Cinnabar (ground) Musk (ground) Calculus Bovis (Niuhuang, ground, each 1 fen) Pinellia (Banxia, washed seven times in hot water, sliced and dried) Clove (Dingxiang) Peucedanum Root (Baifuzi) Iron Powder (Tiefen)

For these two ingredients: take one "zi" spoonful of Niuhuang per dose, mix with Dan Zhuli, and administer. This is suitable for infants aged one to two years. For infants aged three to four years, take half a "qian" per dose, three times daily. Adjust dosage according to the infant's size.
